About this property
Charming Wooden Eco-House in unspoiled nature surrounding Sougia
Charming wooden Eco-house near Sougia (3 km). Built in the late summer of 2017. Between the villages Sougia and Moni on the southwest coast of Crete, situated in an olive grove on a hill, surrounded by mountains, stands this wonderful wooden Eco-house in unspoiled nature, with a distant sea view. Offering peacefulness and silence, yet very near to the crystal clear waters of the Libyan Gulf and all the amenities offered in Sougia village. There you will find a long pebbly beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of Greece and plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also a perfect starting point for mountain hiking as it is connected to the E-4 hiking route. As the house is surrounded by several acres of olive trees, in a very quiet environment, completely private, it is a perfect spot for people looking for true relaxation, silence and privacy. The house is completely made of wood and electricity is provided solely through solar energy. The house is approx 53 sq m with an extra storage room. It comprises a large living room with open kitchen. There are two bedrooms. In one bedroom you find a double bed (140 x 200 cm). In the second bedroom there is a single bed which can very easily be converted into a double bed (160 x 200 cm). All beds come with double orthopaedic mattresses and several pillows to choose among. Behind the house there is a garage on top of which the solar panels and the hot water system are mounted. As we named our house Eco-house, we try to keep it as "green" as possible. Except the solar energy we also provide our guests with fresh well water so they don't need to buy and use plastic bottles which are not being recycled yet in Greece. The house is painted with eco-paint, both in -and outdoors. We do not use pesticides in our olive grove either. Please, be aware, there is no WIFI connection available and there is no air-conditioning. All rooms are provided with fans though.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

About the host

I have lived on Crete for more than 20 years and I love it! It is wonderful any time of the year. It's amazing to see all the different landscapes, the change of atmosphere when you travel around the island. Nothing is ever the same. And there is always more to discover. Crete's people and its impressive nature inspire me and I have been writing short stories about it for many years. In 2013, my first book was published, Kalimera Pefki. If you decide to visit Crete and stay in my house, I would be delighted to give you any information you need to make your stay a great one!
