We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Ruza! Everything was beautiful, and the villa provided the perfect setting for a very special time in our lives. We stayed for a week in Villa Ruza. We couldn't fault the villa at all. It is in a lovely location right on the seafront. The two main bedrooms have massive comfy beds and the two shower rooms meant each couple could have their own shower room. The kitchen is well stocked and contained a dishwasher and a washing machine. It is a 20 minute walk from the villa along the seafront to the new marina. There are plenty of nice restaurants at the marina to choose from. We really enjoyed our week in Villa Ruza and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we returned to Montenegro.

We loved the old stone building, sympathetically restored with all the modern conveniences you would want. The pictures on the walls showing the history of the building were a lovely touch. The property is well located with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here the space was perfect for our family of 4 (two adult children).

A fabulous family holiday

This is a great location for exploring a beautiful and friendly country. It’s also an amazing place for relaxing. There’s a friendly restaurant next door, and the sea is within jumping distance. We loved it!

I have never received such clear and detailed instructions and property/surrounding area overview from a vacation rental owner - fantastic. The property was wonderful, very comfortable and authentic to the region. Loved the photos hanging that reflected the life of the building over the years. We didn't use the kitchen at all but it looked very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the shutters on the windows kept every spec of light from the room - if you aren't careful you could sleep all day in there. Someone met us upon arrival in case we had questions, which I've also never experienced. Croatia has the most lovely, friendly and inviting people living there - this was reflected in our stay at Villa Ruza in every way.

Perfect spot to relax

We had a great time staying at this house slowing down the pace after several weeks of a crazy travel schedule. The kids really loved swimming right out in front and we rented jet skis just a 5 minute walk away. The home is charming and I grabbed a lovely cappuccino from the little restaurant next-door every morning.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time at Villa Ruza. Montenegro is truly a beautiful country. We used many of your recommendations from your flyer, including Bojan, boat rental company and many restaurants. Your recommendations were all spot on. Tamara was very helpful too! Overall an incredible experience!

Perfect location

The check on process was flawless. The location was perfect for us. The restaurant next door kept us welll fed and called us taxies whenever we needed one. The only thing that we would change would additional blankets for the beds as it got a little chilly at night.

Sorry to hear you felt a chill at night. Each bedroom has a thermostatically controlled heat pump in it which can be used to keep the rooms at a comfortable temperature for you. Wonderful home in a beautiful local neighborhood. Walking distance to grocery shops and a couple of nice restaurants too. Beds were very cozy and comfortable. Our family of 6 had ample space. Home a/c worked well. Parking spot was great. Our next door neighborhood restaurant was prefect for our daily cappuccinos that we had in our home each day. Owner was great with communicating. We had a wonderful time in Tivat.

Fantastic

We enjoyed a very extended long stay at beautiful Villa Ruza . It’s in a great quiet location while being close to some very nice local restaurants ….check out Punta Veranda restaurant just past the Big Ben restaurant both of which were our favourite places to eat out . Villa Ruza is just a short stroll along the bayside to ritzy Porto Montenegro offering shopping, many cafes, boat tours and many more restaurants , while a visit to Kotor is just a short taxi ride away . While in Tivat ((Porto Montenegro) take the chair lift to the top of the mountain where it offers incredible views of bay . We highly recommend staying at Villa Ruza it’s a beautiful house 11/10!

Beautiful Quaint House with Water views

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint and beautifully renovated house. The 3 bedrooms were of good size and with comfortable beds. The bay is right in front of the house. It is also next to a lovely church. The church bells didnt bother us as it didn't come on too early or too late and it was part of the charm.Next door was a local restaurant run by a very friendly owner and it was a good option for last minute hunger pangs.The location was perfect for us as it was also an easy walk to several nice restaurants and the nearest beach was lovely. We didn't want to be in the touristy part and when we did venture into town and the port area it was an easy 7 mins drive.Communication was great and fast responses when there were queries. Very friendly owner and well-managed locally.We would recommend a stay at this lovely property.

Beautiful historic house in a perfect location

There is nothing not to love about this darling stone house. It’s located right next to a church and there is a family fish restaurant on the other side. It’s a very quiet area on the water and a short walk to the port where there are many nice restaurants and shops. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower upstairs and one bathroom with a shower downstairs. The kitchen has everything you need and has been nicely done with a dishwasher and euro washing machine. There is a nice outdoor patio and eating space with a stone and marble table and bbq. There is a parking spot right in front of the house and the location is very well situated to see the surrounding towns easily by car. We were very happy.

An absolute dream!

We had a wonderful stay at James and Lily’s charming villa. The location can’t be beat, steps from the water and the views are absolutely stunning. The quaint bar next door is a lovely spot to enjoy a drink or fresh homemade meal. The villa itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bedding is comfortable, the black out shutters ensure a good rest and the air conditioning kept us cool through out. The kitchen is well stocked for home chefs and cooking enthusiasts, we made lots of meals at home and enjoyed them on the terrace watching the sunset. James (the owner) and Tamara (the coordinator) were super responsive and helpful with everything. They checked in often and made sure we were taken care of. There is a sweet one eyed cat that would visit every morning, accepting pets and swatting away unwanted critters.Tivat is a sleepy town with friendly locals and an easy going vibe and was a great start to our adventure in Montenegro. Needless to say, we can’t wait to be back!

Fabulous week at the Villa Ruza

Villa Ruza is a cool and comfortable property that made our stay in Montenegro really superb. I could walk out of the house each morning and swim in the warm water in front of the house and take breakfast on the patio in the shade of Bougainvillea at the front of the property with breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea before you. It was very hot that week but the stone house remained cool and airy and the air-conditioning enabled a great nights sleep. To sum up, Villa Ruza will not disappoint, from its cool antique ships lighting to its high quality furnishing and remarkable stone floor. The large beds are very comfortable, the house is spotlessly clean, the bathrooms are excellent and the kitchen is well equipped. The friendly and responsive local team make sure everything is perfect. The local community are very welcoming, from the grocery shop a few minutes walk away to the fish restaurant and bar very close by where the owner Zoran will prepare fish he has caught earlier that day for dinner. We Lived like a locals in luxury!

Great Villa in a Good Location

The villa, being fairly recently refurbished, is in great condition and is comfortable and well furnished. There is plenty of outdoor space to eat and relax and just enough shade for really hot days. It is noticeable that the villa has been fitted out by owners that regularly stay themselves, so everything you need is at the villa. The restaurant next door is cheap with simple, delicious food and other restaurants are within 10 minutes walk. There are 2 supermarkets within 5 minutes walk. Swimming just outside the front door and a small beach 90 seconds walk away. The scenery is spectacular, with a beautiful view across Tivat bay. Porto Montenegro (15 mins walk) is well worth a visit (particularly at night) and Tivat is a further 5 minutes walk further on. This is the first holiday in a long time where I’ve not hired a car and have not missed it. The owner, James is really helpful with great comms and his team in Montenegro is excellent - this all contributes to a smooth and relaxing holiday. I’d struggle to think of any downsides. The bells on the church next door are really loud, which is only a problem if you have grumpy teenagers, but otherwise, Villa Ruza is fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I am glad you enjoyed your 'car free holiday'. We do stay there often, but also want you to feel that Villa Ruza is yours for the duration of your holiday. The clock on the church chimes every 30 minutes from 07:00 to 22:00. As I guess it has done for a few hundred years!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Ruza! The house is clean, spacious, and stayed cool even in some intense summer heat. The location is also amazing! The villa is walking distance from several excellent cafes and restaurants, as well as grocery stores (not to mention the waterfront path straight out the front door). I’d recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper as the church bells can be quite loud in the mornings, but they also add to the charm of the place.

The bells at the church of St Roko ring on the hour and half hour from 07:00 -22:00. I agree with you. It is all part of the local charm and we are lucky to have the church as neighbours.

Ein wirklich bezaubernder Ort an dem die Villa Ruzza ist. Das Haus ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Herausragend waren die äußerst gemütlichen großen Betten. Die Küche war nicht nur groß und schön, sondern mit allem, was man benötigt für die Selbstversorgung ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation lief im Vorfeld und vor Ort (per Whatsapp) äußerst schnell, zuverlässig und freundlichst. Der Parkplatz direkt am Haus war große Klasse. Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen, haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen. Es ist ausreichend Platz für 6 Personen (wir waren zu viert). Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in der Villa Ruzza.

Villa Ruza è stato come esserci da sempre, accogliente con tutti i comforts, posizione incantevole sul mare e situata nella parte più vera di Tivat, noi l’abbiamo vissuta molto soprattutto la parte all’aperto un bellissimo tavolo dove abbiamo cenato e passato allegre serate. Anche l’interno è molto bello, ben curato e caloroso. Grazie a James host sempre presente per qualsiasi necessità e consiglio. Un grazie anche a Tamara per l’assistenza. Consigliamo Villa Ruza a tutti quelli che prediligono sentirsi a casa in un ambiente semplice ma elegante.

Gruppenreise nach Boka

War ein schöner Urlaub in Tivat. Das Haus ist groß und geräumig. Liegt gut am Wasser und ist sehr leicht erreichbar. 6 Personenen haben in dem Haus ausreichend Platz. Ein paar Möbel wie eine Garderobe oder ein Wohnzimmertisch wären empfehlenswert.
