Stayed here with grandkids ages 7 & 10. We all loved the place, especially the kids. They enjoyed having their own room, wandering around the property, and spotting deer just outside the fence. It was very convenient to Yosemite and we also visited Bass Lake a couple times to swim. It was a great place to stay for their first trip to a National Park. The owners were friendly, yet unobtrusive. We would definitely stay here again and also highly recommend it for others.

It was a pleasure hosting your family. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for choosing us!
Wonderfully peaceful house on acreage near Oakhurst. Great place to sit and read, rest, and enjoy nature while close to the city of Oakhurst. It exceeded our expectations!
The kitchenette is very basic and you need to wash up in the bathroom, but it really isn't that inconvenient, and we were just looking for a base for Yosemite exploration. This was perfect. Comfy beds, very kind and responsive hosts, lovely friendly calm dogs, beautiful grounds to explore, great starry sky and wildlife, so close to Yosemite (Mariposa entrance) and ever so peaceful. Just what we needed, and the huge soaking tub was an unexpected luxury after a full day's hiking!

Very peaceful property and setting, only wish we had more time to relax there.
Lisa and Phil were great hosts, we had one evening of great conversation and then another where we stayed within ourselves. The southern entrance to the park is just a hop away.

Thank you for choosing Yosemite Dreams! It was so fun having you here! It makes us very happy to know you enjoyed your stay with us!
Clean, spacious, and great location. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Like other reviews mention, the only drawback is only one sink in the bathroom. We planned ahead and brought paper plates and used the outside BBQ grill for our meals. Would stay again.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We are working on how to best situate a second sink. We are looking into a utility sink outside. Or of course as stated in the description, I don’t mind doing the guests dishes. But we are aiming for guest comfort! Thank you again!
We had an amazing stay here. The house was a bit tucked away down a dirt road which I really liked. There are multiple dwellings on the property and we had a great experience walking the property and meeting other guests. The property owners were there when we stayed and two sweet pups that were very well behaved. The suite was clean, bed was comfy and the air conditioning was a big plus in 100 weather. We four wheeled the land and found waterfalls and went to Bald mountain lookout. This was a great quiet place to come back to after a long day of adventures and exploring! We would 100% stay again!!!
The property is located down a dirt road, only a few miles from downtown Oakhurst. The hosts, Lisa and Phil, were very accommodating and provided excellent recommendations for visiting Yosemite and places to eat around town.
The property was well maintained and we enjoyed walking the dogs around the grounds! There were lots of cute areas to sit and take in the peaceful surroundings.
We would definitely stay there again!!
We enjoyed the unit and spacious acreage of property. The hosts were very friendly and walked us through the property. I would suggest to include in property description that owners live above the unit due to noise level of upstairs and 2 dogs on premise. We traveled with two dogs and were hesitant about letting the bigger dog out with owners dogs since our second dog arrived later. Also it was challenging to use kitchenette without a sink for meal prep. Overall a nice place.
Lisa greeted us with a lovely warm smile and gave us a tour of the accommodations which were perfectly suited to out needs. There was a large bed in one room, two twins in the next and a space big enough in another room to put a lawn chair because one of us has a very bad back. It worked very well. As was brought out i another review, the water must be brought from the bathroom. We did bring disposable plates, utensils and cups which in the end worked as there wasn't a huge pile of dishes for Phil and/or Lisa do to. Cooking as an adventure as there is a microwave and a hot plate and a toaster oven but we did manage to make nachos one night and something resembling some sort of shish kebab thing. There was a grill there but we decided to broil it and it turned out pretty good. The location is great. The girls took the YARTS bus into the valley which saved us older folks about 4 hours of driving, the next day they took the bus into Mariposa Grove. The stop is very convenient just down the road a bit. Philand Lisa were both very kind and helpful, we would definitely stay there again. They are also about 20 minutes from Bass Lake which was a new place for us to visit that we enjoyed.
We had a nice stay at Yosemite Dreams. The grounds were impeccably manicured with an acre of whimsical trails to wander along. The basement unit was spacious with detailed woodwork throughout. The bedrooms and central rooms were large and nicely furnished. There was no kitchenette, as described in the unit information. The bathroom sink was the only water supply. There was a microwave oven on a cart but no food prep surface. There was a toaster oven on a bureau, a refrigerator in the corner, and a gas grill outdoors. For cooking utensils there was one eight-inch frying pan but no pots.
The countless times a day you need clean water you were forced to join the queue outside the bathroom door. It made for a frustrating stay. We clumsily spent countless hours maneuvering the constant need for clean water: Food to be washed before eating, hands to be washed constantly, cleaning up. We never felt comfortable inviting our daughter and her fiancé to visit and enjoy a meal. It was not relaxing.
The hosts, who live upstairs, did volunteer to wash our dishes for us and return them later. While it was a helpful offer, that was not the solution to the limited water access. The solution would have been to have a clean hygienic water source in the area where you prepare food.
Besides water access another challenge was the 5 AM wake up call, as the hosts started their day right over our sleeping heads, along with their two dogs who also frequently required being let out earlier. The dogs, Cooper and Copper, were delightful.
Very nice place and people, their two dogs got along great with our two too :) Very clean, well furnished, with all the amenities. The unit we stayed in was under the hosts, so there was noise that you would expect with someone above, and also some delicious cooking smells that made me hungry even though I had just eaten ;)

Thank you Eric for choosing us and thank you for leaving the unit in great condition!
My family wanted to have a nice stay near Bass Lake and Yosemite, and Oakhurst is easy for the kids and restaurants. The place is very cozy, the hosts dogs were a sweet touch since they came to visit in the mornings. Lisa is very easy to communicate with. While it would be nice to have a kitchen, we didn’t find its absence to be a hinderance since we were just packing sandwiches for hikes. Overall a very nice experience.
Our stay was relaxing and an absolute pleasure. Lisa & Phil are a sweet couple and very welcoming. They welcomed our 2-small dogs (they have two of their own) and they all got along just fine. The property is enclosed on all sides, so it was just perfect! There isn't a kitchen sink in the unit, but we were able to work around it. The lighting could be better for playing board games at night, but we also worked around that with no problem, as well. Otherwise, comfortable bed, great property in a small town with all the amenities, and not too far away from Yosemite.

A welcoming stay in a beautiful location
Lisa and Phil's place was absolutely lovely. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of space, and with all the amenities you need and nothing you don't. Very dog friendly with ample space to safely roam about. Lisa's recommendations of the area surrounding Yosemite were spot on and extremely helpful. I would stay again without hesitation.

Serene Getaway Near Yosemite
We ventured away from our nest in Simi Valley to experience Yosemite for the first time. When we arrived at Yosemite Dreams, we were greeted warmly by Phil and Lisa, who immediately took us on a tour of their delightful property. From the tiny succulents nestled everywhere to the grand outdoor bed, Phil and Lisa clearly crafted this amazing getaway with attention to detail. We stayed in the suite with two bedrooms, which was the perfect setup for our son. The accommodations were so cozy and tastefully decorated. There was even homemade banana bread awaiting us and it did not disappoint! Phil and Lisa make everything easy--they even wash your dishes for you! There's so many good things that can be said about Yosemite Dreams, but suffice it to say that you won't find this level of care in any hotel in the area. We'll definitely be returning!

Peaceful, beautiful and perfect for a family
What a great place! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend with our 2 kids. We are extremely happy we picked this house. What I liked most was the grounds - which are amazing. There are paths that wander around the grounds with benches and places to sit and bird watch or read. Very quiet and very peaceful. The place was very comfortable, spacious and impeccably clean. Our bedroom was quite pretty, and the bed was very comfortable. Our kids' bedroom was right across from ours so we all felt connected, yet had privacy from eachother. The patio was just outside our suite through French doors in our living area (nice!). It's a great size and very welcoming. I enjoyed sipping my coffee there in the mornings. Also important was that we felt really safe about allowing our kids to roam the property - which is quite large - with a lot to explore. Our kids loved it!
Our hosts Phil and Lisa were very warm welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect hideaway for our visit to Yosemite
The Garden Suite at Yosemite Dreams was the ideal base camp for our family getaway this spring. We had three adults and one child, and the suite was both spacious and cozy and met all of our needs.
The setting is magical: a gorgeous garden surrounds the suite and is visible through windows on three sides. We were able to take rambling walks along the network of paths that wander through the impressive plantings. It was a welcome retreat and place to unwind before and after days in Yosemite. (And with the extremely comfortable beds, we all slept very soundly!)
The location worked very well for us. Just a short drive to the southern entrance of Yosemite, Oakhurst has all the stores and restaurants you’d except in a small mountain town.
And the most wonderful thing about Yosemite Dreams was the host and hostess. Lisa and Phil were available and helpful, but not at all intrusive. They directed us to a fabulous and unexpected adventure in Nelder Grove, and gave us the insider information about local grocery stores and restaurants.
I can’t imagine a better place for a family to stay near Yosemite. We will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Wobler and Phil Ireland
Phil and Lisa just moved to Oakhurst from Del Mar/San Diego in November 2015, where we lived for 30 years, prior to growing up on the East Coast. We just love our new location and would love to share it with you! Phil is a videographer and Lisa is a Yoga Instructor as well as a Wellness Coach. After raising four children in the San Diego area we moved to the mountains for our next life adventure!
Why they chose this property
Meandering walk ways, lush gardens, a variety of mature trees and a unique selection of sitting areas make Yosemite Dreams magical. We are located just two miles from shops, restaurants, theaters, art galleries and grocery stores and yet maintain a faraway feel. We are located just outside Yosemite National Park and minutes from Bass Lake. Oakhurst has many activities such as water sports, golf, upscale spas, museums, fun kid activities such as zip lines, train rides, sledding, ice skating and ice cream! This property gives you the feeling that you are in your own little park, far away from it all and yet you are just a few minutes away from a wide variety of activities, conveniences and adventures!
What makes this property unique
We love this property for its magical, peaceful feeling. We have a yoga deck and a Labyrinth! The property has a beautiful home for us to live in as well as an exquisite, romantic custom cabin that allows us to share our property and yet give our visitors a sense of seclusion. Come and experience our dream!
