Texas Adventure

We are on a trip through Texas and Galveston was our first stop. We loved that the property was right on the beach. Staff and office staff were very helpful and friendly. The only disappointment was the coin laundry. We mistakenly thought each condo had their own laundry room.

groundkeepers were there every day cleaning and making sure trash, etc. was taken care of. the security was not very good. never saw anyone at pool checking for armbands. gate over the dunes does not lock. gate to drive onto property was not always manned. the office taking the payments has a paper copy of credit card and keep it in unlocked file cabinet. they said they shred it after unit is checked to make sure nothing was damaged. i hope so.

The condo was cute, but it was EXTREMELY small. There's one bedroom and the bed takes up the whole room. There's hardly any room to even walk around the bed, and I'm petite. The beds (including the bunk beds in the hallway) were very uncomfortable. Also, the comforter was obviously dirty. We have a family of 5, including an infant, toddler and 9 year old. It was way too small, and not very kid friendly. We attempted to cook using the provided pots and pans and everything stuck to the bottom. We couldn't get the condo under 86 degrees, so we reached out to the owner/property manager, and 3 days AFTER we checked out (5 days after I reached out to her) , she got back to us. The contract states that if the renter requests someone come , and nothing is wrong with it, then the RENTER is billed for the service. Turns out, if you leave the door/window open for 2 minutes (which is normal at the beach) the HVAC system turns off. The beach was amazing though! There's a private gate from the resort to the private beach area, and the kids had a blast.

This was a great condo as advertised right on the beach. Seascapes is well run and the check in process was easy. Seascapes has access to the beach without crossing any roads. The condo was as advertised. View of the pool and beach. Nice sized fridge and oven. Hangers in closet and lots of hooks. Otherwise, no surprises. Back corner of property with multiple picnic tables and grills. Overall, a nice experience and vacation. We would go back. Large family that came together and stayed in separate condos. Worked well for us!

Perfect 'social distance' get-away

I took my teenage daughter and her friend in mid-May mainly to get away from the mind-numbing isolation. This place did the trick to renew my mind and soul. The condo was perfect and was better than my expectations (which were great to begin with). Food/Kitchen: We took our own food and paper goods; the kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen as far as cookware and appliances that I've seen compared to other condos. Wifi/Tech: Important for guests that might be working remotely during Covid times, the wifi connection worked great. I used my laptop each day multiple times without issue. The girls had no lull in their online social lives. Plenty of instructions available for technology, property details, rules, etc. Overall Property: With the property having great outdoor amenities: pool, hot tub, and a nice serene scene, and also being ON the beach (not having to cross a busy beach road), it was the perfect place for us. I could be at the pool or the beach and my girls could roam around without my being concerned with their safety. I could also enjoy my wine from the patio and oversee them at the pool or the beach. The other guests were really friendly as well. I met friends, the girls met friends. Cleaning: Cleaning rules is pretty standard: take the trash out, make sure the dishes are clean. As we were leaving and cleaning up the condo, the maintenance staff went out of their way to help with garbage removal. Overall Opinion: This will definitely be a regular spot for us to visit! Highly, highly recommend.
