Overall a lovely place to stay - the location delightful - very peaceful and close to Eccleshall with all its amenities
Could benefit from signage for the property as the entrance gates are set back from the lane and therefore not easily visible especially when getting dark
This is a very good property for anyone who has mobility problems, as they are very hard to come by! It is a very private setting and access is excellent. It is not perfect, the wet-room would be better if it had a sliding door, for example, but it is comfortable, well equipped and the grounds are charming. The riser chairs are a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return. One issue is there is a very poor or non-existing mobile phone signal. There being no landline, one is reliant on wifi for communicating with the outside world in emergencies. Recommended.
Property was nice. Just prepare to have to drive a narrow road to get to the property. Make sure to memorize the key code because you will not have internet access to look it up until you get wifi.
Really wonderful stay, thanks Ian for quick communication at short notice, would love to come again.

Delightful cottage under a wooded cliff
We had a delightful stay in Woodland Cottage. it was warm, well-equipped, in a unique and peaceful setting, and our considerate hosts treated us to homemade soup, apple juice and bread. The beds were very comfortable, and so were the sofas! A lovely place to be quiet in, but near enough to pubs and shops to make eating and cooking not a problem. There is no mobile reception or landline in the cottage, which we had been made aware of, but the internet was fine.

Thanks so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure hosting you. I do hope you are settling in to your new home.
You left behind a dressing gown which we still have so do get in touch to arrange collection (along with coffee and cake of course). Happy new year to you both.

Fantastic stay in a wonderful cottage in a peaceful and beautiful setting...
We spent almost two weeks in Woodland Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage is almost new and so it is in excellent condition, very clean, most comfortable, and outfitted with all the modern conveniences. Snuggled in the forest, the cottage is conveniently located to nearby towns, villages, and interesting sites to explore. Ian and Victoria are a very friendly and helpful couple. We enjoyed Ian's sample of baking with a delicious nut loaf and tasty lemon cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage so much that we felt sad to leave. We will certainly be recommending this lovely cottage and wonderful couple to our friends and family for a vacation of a lifetime - we may even return again! Thanks again for a great experience, Mark and Bobbi
Thank you Alison. And for leaving the place so clean and tidy, much appreciated.
I have just done the laundry and fear I may have failed to provide a base sheet for the sofa. My oversight and my apologies.
I hope you enjoyed the brand new alpaca wool throws on the sofa bed.
Best regards, Ian
