Super stylish, spacious bungalow

Had a wonderful week at this bungalow in July. It was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The neighbourhood is ridiculously peaceful, I would have stayed all summer long if I could have. Definitely recommend to others and I would happily holiday there again.

Had a great stay at the Salty Sea Dog which was perfect for our family of 5. Spacious, nice to have the garden and washing room! A tumble dryer would have been an even bigger bonus. Personally we would also have rather had a blind in the window above the bed in the master bedroom - we like it dark! Communication with Neal was great. Bude is a lovely town, we enjoyed the beaches, walks as well as tripa further afield.

Lovely Property

Everything almost perfect, but leaving only two toilet rolls for 5 adults + a child for a week is not enough ! Also, the back garden which "is totally private offering plenty of sun space to relax in the sun"..... only no garden furniture ( chairs or loungers would be nice ) whatsoever !

Cornish Hospitality

Our property manager was great from start to finish. Great communication and clear instructions to access the property. The property is very well appointed, with great outdoor space and sun traps aplenty. The kitchen is modern, clean and served us extremely well. Access to a large utility room and plenty of drying options was very helpful. The lounge area is light and comfortable, and the open plan space generally made for a relaxing vibe to the place. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the showers are lovely. Access to Bude town centre and beaches is very easy on foot, and maybe 3 or 4 minutes by car. There is so much to do in Bude and the surrounding areas, and the property was a perfect base to launch from. The property is on a quiet cul-de-sac with off street parking. Its a peaceful street and a calm place to be after busy days out. We would definitely stay again.

Quiet residential area- perfect

A real home from home with exceptional communication with the owner - including letting us know we could go into the property earlier than the time stated. Easy access to both the beach and the town of Bude. We made good use of the sun loungers in the garden during the evening sun as well as the lovely seating area (a few cushions would be nice for the wooden area). The accommodation was of a very good standard with all the necessary ammenities- we used the chair from the one bedroom to make more seating at the dinning table). Hot water was always available despite 5 adults using the shower and bath! The house has a real family vibe about it and the neighbours are very friendly. I would highly recommend booking this accommodation- we would have booked for next year but we have extra friends joining us so needed more bedrooms! Gut, bis auf die Gerüche aus dem Abfluss, das vom Vermieter bereitgestellte Mittel half nur bedingt, der störende Geruch war nur reduziert aber nicht beseitigt, muffig riechendes Kinderzimmer, der im der Internetbeschreibung angegebene Wäschetrockner fehlte, lediglich Wäscheständer bzw. Leinen sind vorhanden.

Fantastic modern property great location

The bungalow is in a great location, just a 15 minute walk to the beach and shops. The property was very modern decorated to a high standard, and had all the amenities required. The rooms were a great size and en-suite was lovely. Large seating area and plenty of space for everyone. The seating area outside was perfect for a sunny evening.

A beautiful house, really well equipped with everything we could need. Great location with only a short walk to beachs, shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. Excellent communication with the owners, very informative and quick to respond to any questions. Great stay at The Salty Sea Dog

We had a throughly enjoyable stay, the property was clean, bright and spacious with everything needed for a family break. The property was located in a nice, peaceful neighbourhood within walking distance to the beaches. Neal was a great host.

Fabulous property in excellent location

We loved our stay at this property. Not only was the house in perfect order, tastefully decorated, with great facilities and sunny quiet garden, but it was also in a fabulous location. We could walk to town and the beach. Lovely and clean too. Neal was also great at communicating.

Beautiful home from home

Honestly could not find fault with this lovely house! Perfect location for an easy stroll into town and to the beach, beautifully finished with everything we could have possibly needed for our stay (we have a 5yo and the house is so well equipped for children too), and Neal was so helpful both in the run up to and during our holiday. Would not hesitate to recommend to others, and we’d love to return ourselves too!

Perfect for young kids

We had a lovely time in Bude, thanks for letting us rent your wonderful home Neal. The house was great. Especially loved the big utility room to store all the beach paraphernalia in and keep sand out of the house!! The Trampoline, football goal and basketball net in the garden kept our 3 boys busy whilst we enjoyed sitting in the garden. The easy walk across the golf course into Bude and to the beach meant that we could leave the car at the house and avoid the parking queues! Lots to do in Bude for the kids…. Highly recommend!

Ideal Family Home

The house is ideally situated just a 10 minute walk to town and a 15 min walk to the beach. It has all the home comforts you need and a pretty garden with a decked terrace that catches the sun at the end of the day. The house was spotless and all the furniture and accessories were high quality. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the house was a real haven to come back to after a busy day. We would definitely stay again.

A lovely Bude break

We stayed in August 2021. The property is in a good location for families - quiet cul-de-sac, 10-15 min walk to town and Crooklets beach, and no problem with parking. The house was very clean and the owners were obviously taking care to be Covid-safe, which was reassuring to see. Our group was 4 adults and 2 children. The front bedroom with en-suite worked well for the grandparents, and the room with twin beds was great for the kids. The garden is lovely, with a nice corner seating/decking area. Neal (one of the owners) was our point of contact and was a pleasure to deal with. We had a very happy week here and would certainly book again.

Lovely property, quite area

We have stayed the last four summers in this lovely property, very helpful and friendly owner that is always happy to help. The property is a short walk to a sandy beach (some stones to cross before the sands unless you head to the main town centre beach). All level for the all-important trolley full of beach stuff. Burgers on the beach and a very nice takeaway on the way back. Shops are a nice walk over the golf course also. A nice all round family holiday in a lovely well equipped property.

Wonderful stay in Bude

We have just checked out this morning and were all sad to leave this lovely home. We could not find fault with anything, spotless clean, high spec accommodation...they have thought of everything right down to the prosecco and Cornish biscuits on arrival. We are already planning to book for next year...thanks Neal for the great communication too x

Perfect location

The property is very well located in a quiet area just outside of Bude - but it is also just a short walk across the golf course to the town, its beaches, supermarkets and coastal walks. Bude has its own hustle and bustle, but the house is away from that in a very quiet area, which is perfect for relaxation after a day’s activities.

Fantastic place

Excellent property that is ideally located in Bude - close enough to walk in to town and the beaches, but away from the centre itself. The house itself is very modern and well equipped whilst outside are 4 different seating areas to enjoy sun or shade, whatever suits. Communication with Neal was excellent. Bude itself is a lovely place with lots to do along with fabulous coastal walks on your doorstep.

Stunning property, fantastic location

Communication and information from Neal was excellent before arrival. The property is lovely, more than we expected. Large bedrooms, great kitchen / living area all finished to a very high specification. Plenty of additional space including garden, can’t fault it. Flexbury is a great location in Bude, spacious residential roads and an easy walk into town and to the beaches. Brilliant holiday, would love to stay there again.

Aug 2020 stay in Bude

Lovely little house, charming, homely and very well laid out and equipped. With a good 10 Minute walk to the nearest beach it was definitely an advantage. House is extremely comfortable. Shops in Bude are at an easy stroll across the golf course. You could survive without a car if you’re not going on day trips. Had a wonderful time and highly recommend this property.
