Incredible view and perfect location! We loved exploring the famous towns of Puglia like Alberobello, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, all just a short 15–20 minute drive away.Traveling with our baby, we spent most evenings at home, sipping wine and enjoying dinners on the beautiful veranda, overlooking the stunning valley and the sea.Maura, the property manager, was exceptionally thoughtful and kind. She gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants, grocery stores, and activities, and even came by personally to welcome us and say goodbye when we left.We would absolutely love to return if we travel to Puglia again in the future!

Maura was a wonderful hostess for our stay at Villa Carlotta. She was an excellent communicator and always available to answer questions….also she supplied a detailed information booklet. The villa was very comfortable for two couples and had the necessary amenities. Located in the wonderful small town of Laureto, the villa was in a great location for daily trips to the amazing towns close by. The beautiful view of the surrounding area and Adriatic Sea was lovely. A perfect home to explore the area in Puglia. We all loved our stay in Villa Carlotta.

Been trying to visit these Villas for a few years and finally had the opportunity. we were certainly not disappointed. Very smart villa great accommodation with fantastic views. Our first visit to Puglia so the local advice from Maura was invaluable. A great meal at a local Masseria and the in villa catering and cooking lesson organised by Maura was fab. We will certainly try to return.

Great professional stay

Host is lovely and super helpful and the property is very nice and well maintained. Exactly as expected from pictures. Can run all appliances at the same time which is not the case in all properties in Italy, and they were well prepared with a good travel cot for our baby. The only thing of note is the property is below another one and you can sometimes hear scraping of chairs or noise from people slamming the outside doors above, but no more than you might hear in any residential property. We had a great stay.

Superb comfort, views and communication

We wanted not to stay in a trullo but to have a view of the Pugia countryside coast. So - got a full 180 degree view from our terrasses and the fantastic pool deck, which is quetly located in the olive garden on the hill. Being 200 m above the sea gave us a little wind & 2-3 Celcius cooler than the country brliw. Just what we wanted.Maura is in charge of the villa and she is one of the most serviceminded persons I ever met. Checking and calling with guidence before arrival, visiting during the week and when we left. She had plenty of ideas fitting every tourist need. We especially liked Martina Franca and Alberobello (go early). Most towns and the sea is only 20 min drives

Great luxury vacations in the land of trulli

The villa is excellent, spacious, decorated with taste and has everything you’ll expect for a great vacation in Puglia. The view is amazing. The service and attention to details from Maura is really five star level, from the preparations, the organization of the staff to the advice and information for the visits (best so far in all places we have visited!) The location is excellent, some minutes from the beach and the best towns in Puglia. Trulli are beautiful to see and visit but not so comfortable for living, that is why we chose staying in this comfortable house. The villa has different well independent areas, the house, the pool-deck-barbecue, the upper deck and the terraced gardens, lots of space to spend days in if you want to rest between visits to towns. We had a great time and look forward to coming back soon.

Amazing beautiful villa

Probably one of the nicest places we have stayed at. The view was amazing up in the mountains. The location was close enough to the beach and convenient to other small towns to visit. The master bath was beautiful and shower/bath was so nice. The hostess left us with some food to start with which was super nice and helpful. Grocery store is a quick drive away. (Be sure to bring soap to bathe, that was one thing not provided.) The hostess lives up the driveway, checked in with us and gave some really nice recommendations in her book which I referred to frequently. The entire residence was really beautiful and spacious. Huge dining room table,nice living room area to hang out. Kitchen was great. So nice to have a washer/dryer available. Overall, absolutely gorgeous, couldn't recommend the place enough.

Wonderful views, totally relaxing.

We wanted somewhere special and romantic for our honeymoon and from the moment we arrived at villa Carlotta we knew that it would live up to our expectations. The high standard of finish and the care and attention to detail is evident throughout the property with many luxury touches. The bathroom is just to die for, very luxurious with a HUGE spa bath and wonderful romantic lighting. The outdoors is also amazing, with a gorgeous pool totally private and secluded in the terraced garden, a sunbathing terrace overlooking it and a lovely shady spot with comfortable armchairs and settee where you can sit and read or just take in the breath taking views across to the sea. We really enjoyed the day trips to the local towns which are all close by. The locals are very friendly and helpful but don’t expect them to speak much English which didn’t really matter as we managed to get ourselves understood and it added to the fun of the holiday. The restaurants and markets are also great, with superb food very reasonably priced and lots of choice as is the local vino! We would definitely recommend hiring a car so that you can get out and about and really experience the area. We had a wonderful time and couldn’t have asked for a more restful, peaceful, idyllic location and although we don’t normally stay in the same place twice we will definitely come back to this beautiful villa.

Een prachtlocatie in het hart van Puglia!

Wat een heerlijke plek, mooi uitzicht en goede locatie ten opzichte van vele bezienswaardigheden in Puglia. De dag na aankomst werden we zeer vriendelijk welkom geheten door Maura en Giancarlo. Voor vragen was Maura altijd beschikbaar en ook voor de nodige tips (voor zowel boodschappen, restaurants als leuke stadjes in de buurt) om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken!Met onze huurauto hebben we vele leuke uitstapjes kunnen maken. Het was ook fijn bij de villa te verblijven en we hebben veel gebruik gemaakt van het verwarmde zwembad. Voor ons allemaal was het echt genieten!

Opvallend mooi zicht

Verblijf in villa Carlotta was voor ons bezoek aan Puglia zeker een meerwaarde. Van het moment dat je de poort doorrijdt voel je je op vakantie. De terrassen met ligzetels, zwembad,... allemaal even mooi gedaan. Maura is daarbij een fantastische gastvrouw die er altijd is als je haar nodig hebt. We maakten een goeie keuze!

We waren met 6 volwassenen en vonden het een heerlijk vakantiehuis, met fijne airco. Erg goed verzorgd welkom. Alleen: het is geen villa, maar een appartement op de begane grond, met een ander appartement er bovenop. Ook het zwembad is wel klein (ca 3 x 7m)

Toller Platz für sämtliche Ausflüge in Apulien. Maura ist eine liebenswürdige, sehr freundliche und extrem hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Die tollen Fotos des Hauses entsprechen der Wirklichkeit! We fell in love with Puglia in 2005 for its fabulous food and perfect weather and the lovely old fortified masseria amidst the ancient olive trees and vineyards around Fasano and bought the mayor’s summer residence in the Selva Hills above the town as our dream holiday home from which to enjoy the Italian way of life. So when the opportunity arose in 2011 to re-furbish another spacious villa within the same 2 acre private hillside estate, we grabbed it with both hands and set about realising the perfect romantic retreat so that we could use it for visits from our own extended family and also let it out for others to share the dream.

Why they chose this property

The villa location itself is amazing, hidden away at the end of a private road which winds its way up to the very top of the hill to surprise you with the most incredible views over the olive groves towards the blue sea beyond – views which you can enjoy every day from the main rooms, from the outside dining terrace and from the private heated pool and surrounding sun terraces. The Fasano area is now very fashionable with many A-list celebrities buying houses or getting married nearby, and is the ideal base for exploring the lovely old ‘white towns’ of Alberobello, Martina Franca, Locorotondo dotted around the famous Valley of Itria. There is always lots to do and a great choice of restaurants serving excellent food.

What makes this property unique

We have totally re-furbished the property from the ground up with the help of our Italian architect to create a unique luxury villa in the contemporary Puglian style with design references to the ancient stone Masseria farmhouses nearby. The villa is very spacious and airy and is finished throughout in marble, travertine, stone, Bisazza tiles and Venetian glass. We have installed every luxury that we could think of - including full air conditioning, broadband fast wi-fi, large flatscreen TV and DVD, oversize spa bath, designer rainshower, luxury linen, stylish leather italian furniture, separate laundry, en-suites for all bedrooms. There are multiple outside entertainment and dining areas around the house and overlooking the private heated pool which is set nearby in a secluded forest setting with panoramic views of the sea. Many of our guests have said that it is the perfect place to unwind,
