The property and home were lovely and included many amenities that made our stay comfortable for a group of 8. Jeff was kind, checked in with us, and was responsive. We enjoyed the privacy and access to the many parks and activities nearby. We’d definitely stay again!
Very fun house / ranch right off the main road to the Grand Canyon. Super easy to get to Williams for groceries and the Grand Canyon railway and to walk around the town… 10 min straight shot. We didn’t use the separate bunkhouse but it’s a fun little cabin off the patio. Patio is lovely with wood fireplace and gas grill. The only note I would make is a foldable step stool could be handy in the kitchen for shorter folks to reach glasses and such. My mom is 5feet and couldn’t reach a thing - haha- vertically challenged! Seeing the donkeys “wrestling” and horse and chickens is a fun bonus and definitely a fun place for hide and seek and exercise outside with the kiddos.
The location is amazing, clear directions. The house was fantastic. We had everything we needed (and more).Clean, tidy and peaceful. Will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area.
This lovely ranch house had every amenity we could ask for, beautiful views, indoor and outdoor fireplaces with plenty of wood provided, a very well stocked kitchen and so many accommodations for kids. Our grandkids aren’t infants or toddlers, but there is a crib, tot bed, backpack for carrying kids and so many toys. The donkeys welcomed us with their braying-so fun. The kids explored the paths around the property and discovered a hidden swing set, tether ball and 2 hammocks under shady trees. The home is 10 minutes from the Polar Express and Bearizona and they were both fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great experience at this home! The house was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It was very well stocked with everything we needed—from kitchen essentials to towels and linens. The owner was also fantastic—very prompt and helpful whenever any small issue came up. It really made our stay smooth and stress-free. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.
The property and location were wonderful. The farm setting with the animals, outdoor patio, fireplace, trail with hammocks, swings, tether ball, and horseshoe pits were such an added treat. Just about an hour from the Grand Canyon entrance and about 1hr 20min. to Sedona made for the perfect location. Williams is an adorable little town with cute shops and eateries. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, and flatware. Jeff was communicative and his instructions were coherent. A family friendly area and home.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review but I'm a little confused. You had great things to say but it only prompted a 4-star review. I didn't get any feedback during your stay that anything was wrong and I think this is only the 2nd or 3rd 4-star review I've gotten in over 9 years. If you get a chance to read this please email me with your comments as I'd sure like to address them in the hopes of avoiding this for future guests. Thank you once again for being my guests.
Family friendly and comfortable. Everything's set up for a fun family stay. we enjoyed the porch and even on a windy afternoon the porch stayed pleasant. Our host was easy to reach and in tune with our needs so there were no complications with the house. We enjoyed hearing the sounds of clucking hens and the ocassional burro bray at feeding time. The views from the ranch are lovely. The fireplace is a good gayhering place on a cool evening. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time at big D ranch! Views are great, location is great, and there’s plenty to do at the property! Seeing the animals up close and collecting eggs with the caretaker was the kids highlight of the trip!
The Big D Ranch was a beautiful place to stay. It has amazing views out of every window or all around the outside of the house. The grandkids loved their stay as well as the adults. Everyone hated to leave this beautiful ranch.
Jeff is a great host. Answered any and all questions. The house is beautiful and very accommodating. Easy access to the Grand Canyon, other amenities, and downtown Williams.
We love staying here. It’s the perfect place for families with kids!!!! Thanks for helping us complete our fun weekend visiting the polar express.

Great house great location
My family and I stayed here for three nights. Plenty of room and well stocked kitchen. Close to town for shopping and just the right distance to GC NP. After morning hikes in the park it was a great place to unwind without the crowds.

Hi Cameron -
Thank you very much for being our guests. We're seeing a common theme about relaxing at the ranch after a day of hiking the canyon. We love it, too, for that very same reason. We hope you come back on your next visit to our area.

See you soon.
Why they chose this property
Being from the city, we wanted to find the perfect place in the mountains to get away from the hustle and bustle. We wanted to breath the fresh air, feel the cool breeze, nap under the trees in the hammock, sleep with the windows open, hear the roosters and the donkeys in the morning and the train at night. We wanted to be centrally located to attractions and enjoy the quaintness of the small town of Williams. We found what we were looking for and so much more. It's amazing and we would love to share it with you and your family. We look forward to hosting you.
What makes this property unique
The Ranch is located squarely between Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon and only minutes from historic downtown Williams. During the summers you can hike, bike, take day trips to the Grand Canyon, visit Bearizona, a wild animal drive-through park or just stroll along the shops of downtown Williams. Maybe you just stay "home" for the day and pet the animals, play corn hole, tetherball, horseshoes, swing on the swing or nap in the hammock. The Big D Ranch offers something for everybody. You are sure to head back home with many great memories and a desire to return.
