Very convenient for the centre of Citta Alta, a quiet, very spacious, comfortable and characterful apartment. Very well equipped. Lovely sitting room area. Genuine character and charm. Easy access to all the key parts of the old city , but also the funicular railway, buses or walking routes to the lower city.

Good location and clean. Main floor AC was not working and the host did not respond when contacted. The heat impacted the bar fridge (which is used as a kitchen fridge) and, therefore, we were unable to store food in it. Would not stay here again.

Although we made great efforts to communicate with our host there was miscommunication. As a result our host was rude, confrontational and abrupt, they provided no helpful information as had been previously discussed.The listing mentioned breakfast, there was none. The kitchen was also poorly appointed.The weather had been particularly hot and the AC in the main living area had been turned off by a master control that we did not have access to. We were told that the AC in the main living area could not function while the AC in the bedroom was on therefore we ONLY had AC in the bedroom which was unacceptable. A dysfunctional fan was provided in the main living area instead.One of the window shutters in the main living area was missing allowing the hot sun to make the room even hotter.The light switch to the common stairwell was physically broken, we had to use the flashlights on our phones to make our way up and down the staircase safely.Sadly this has been our only negative experience with VRBO and for the reasons listed we definitely do NOT recommend this property.

The apartment was in a very characterful.building on a peaceful street that was only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Citta Alta, very convenient for the funicular. It is a beautiful spacious apartment with lots of character, fantastic views of the city, it has everything you need for a relaxing stay, the second bathroom was just perfect for our party of 3 and the bathrooms and the whole apartment are beautifully decorated, even the view from the toilet was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning apartment! Really close to the centre and has everything you could need for your stay. Great host who picked us up from the airport and allowed us to have a late checkout. Would definitely recommend!

What a delightful place. It was large, clean, near the main piazza of the citta' Alta and couldn't be nicer. I was really happy with everything there. It was a relaxing, pleasant stay in a gorgeous town.

The apartment is spacious and conveniently located for the Città Alta. I would not recommend it to anyone who has mobility issues as the steps up to the bedroom and bathroom areas seem unsafe to me. Not a good choice for someone who likes to cook large meals.

Lovely stay in Bergamo

We really enjoyed our 4 nights in Bergamo. The apartment is massive, in a great location & very well equipped with anything you could need. The only slight downside was the two flights of very steep, quite dark stairs to get to the apartment.

An Italian Dream

This VRBO was everything we wanted and needed in Bergamo. Check in was seamless and the location was close to bus stops which made it wonderful. Additionally, you’re right in next to a beautiful walk through the high city without being in a very busy area if you want to go back and relax. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Just take in consideration the size and weight of the bags, the apartment is located on the 2nd floor (no lift - narrow stairs) we had medium carry on (13kg) and was ok.

Unsafe hazardous electric and reeks of charred wood.

When we arrived we could smell the odor of burnt wood on the first level. I asked the owner/manager if I could open the windows, she said no, it would rain on the floors. I then asked her where the second bed is and she proceeds to open a single chair bed in the living room. This is situated next to the fireplace that stinks, with burnt chars of wood still in it. After trying fruitlessly to sleep, I sprayed the fireplace with perfume. I had to put on the a/c unit and a fan to keep the air moving. I had e-mailed her and she told me not to use the a/c, that it was broken (not true) and we did not need it since it was not hot out. She said that the previous occupants had lit the fireplace and there was nothing she could do. That I could vacuum the fireplace myself. The vacuum would not turn on, because the power went off. I turned on the small washing machine in the morning and the electric kept shutting off. The bathtub does not drain , neither did one of the bathroom sinks. Power in the kitchen went out including the refrigerator, the outlets in the living room and the lights in the bedroom. We reset it 3 times . We were afraid of fire and I am not a repairman The maintenance on this apartment is severely lacking. Electrical cords are running all over. After this we decided we had to leave, this was a fire and environmental hazard and unsafe. I had to hand wring out all of my wash and pack it wet in my luggage. Unfortunately for us it cost us $300. a night to find a hotel in Milan on such short notice. Bergamo Citta Alta is one of my favorite places and this was a painful decision. We fled the apartment and I e-mailed her to tell her and request a refund which she never responded to. I have never had to do this and incur expensive hotel costs to flee. This apartment is also photo-shopped. The living room is full of furniture and the pull-out bed is again a single chair bed. No stove/cooktop, only a hot plate for cooking. The ceiling height in the bath is for children. The location is way down the hill. The stairs up are wooden and rickety if you are carrying luggage. I have stayed in this city several times and this was the worst location and a dangerous situation. This owner has no problem lying, and not addressing problems. Frequently I have used Home Away and have experienced positive stays. I would not recommend anyone booking a trip here. This is a problematic rental, not a Home Away from Home. A house of horrors.

Hébergement décevant, bien situé certes dans la charmante ville de Bergamo, mais accès difficile par des escaliers étroits et mal éclairés.Une seule chambre, contrairement au descriptif qui en annonce deux: canapé convertible et volet extérieur manquant! Une salle de bain quasi impraticable en raison de la faible hauteur du plafond. Logement poussiéreux, voire franchement sale (état du coin cuisine redoutable!), cafetière Nespresso industrielle et donc impossibilité d'acheter des capsules dans les commerces, nourriture périmée sur les étagères, impossibilité de faire de la cuisine, vaisselle manquante et en mauvais état, serviettes de toilettes nombreuses certes mais très usées et grisâtres.Aucun contact avec la propriétaire qui n'a même pas fait l'effort de s'assurer que tout se passait bien ou de donner des informations spontanément. Un seul échange, à notre initiative, concernant le parking, mais des plus minimalistes et sans aucune politesse. Un deuxième message car elle avait oublié de demander copie des documents d'identité : une fois ces documents adressés, aucun retour de sa part.En résumé, un appartement qui a un réel potentiel et qui pourrait avoir un charme certain, mais gâché par le manque total de professionnalisme de sa propriétaire.Nous avons été très surpris par les commentaires élogieux des précédents clients. Quoi qu'il en soit, ils ne reflétaient en rien l'appartement tel que nous l'avons trouvé et la relation que nous avons eue avec sa propriétaire.

Wir hatten mehr erwartet

Sehr gute Lage in der Altstadt und dicht an der Seilbahn. Die Küche der Wohnung ist aber leider schlecht ausgestattet. Ein warmes Essen lässt sich mit der einzelnen Kochplatte und dem einem Topf und einer Pfanne kaum zubereiten. Ein Sandwichtoaster steht kaputt und verschmutzt im Unterschrank. Am großen Tisch gab es keine Lampe, weshalb wir ausschließlich am kleinen Küchentisch gegessen haben. Nur eins von den zwei Badezimmern hat ausreichend Höhe um aufrecht stehen zu können . Die Fotos in der Annonce sahen alle deutlich vielversprechender aus.

Leuk nostalgisch appartement

Het is een erg leuk appartement op de 3de etage (trap). In de grote woonkamer staan 2 slaapbanken (1 en 2 persoons), grote keukentafel. De keuken heeft een professioneel nespresso apparaat met cups (goede koffie). Verder is alles wat je nodig hebt in de keuken. Koelkast ontbreekt. Wel een wijnkoeler. 2 badkamers waarvan 1 met bad (is maar ongeveer 160cm hoog dus je moet wel klein zijn of krom staan om in de ruimte te zijn. De slaapkamer is ruim met 2 persoons bed. Alles met airco (1woonkamer doet het niet). Parkeren is probleem. Alleen in parkeergarage, €30 per dag (wel dichtbij)

Gute Unterkunft aber nerviger checkIn/Out

Die Unterkunft an sich ist zu empfehlen. Positiv zu erwähnen ist auf jeden Fall die sehr gute Lage direkt in der Altstadt. Zudem ist die Wohnung schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Allerdings ist die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern bei uns nicht optimal gelaufen. Vor allem der Check In und der Check Out ist schwierig gewesen. Beim check in haben wir lange gewartet bevor uns die Vermieterin geantwortet hat und wir 1,5 Stunden später endlich in die Wohnung konnten. Beim check out ist zwei Stunden vor eigentlichen Check out plötzlich jemand in die Wohnung gekommen und wollte dass wir die Wohnung verlassen. Also grundsätzlich schöne Wohnung in guter Lage aber Kommunikation und Check In/Out mit den Vermietern schwierig.
