Really nice property and a very responsive host. The place was exactly as described. Late evenings can be noisy due to proximity to “The John,” so the provided earplugs came in handy.
Great location with easy access to everything. Very clean and well maintained. Three couples stayed with plenty of room. Nice having 3 bathrooms for the wives.
Clean, nicely stocked and in a great location. Short walking distance to all the spots you would want to visit in the French Quarter. Plenty of parking and felt safe. What puts this property over the top is the owner. There was a mix up on dates (my fault) and he graciously helped me. Thank you Michael!
6 Of us friends got together and rented this home from Michael with Home Away. I was in charge of lodging (no pressure!) so I read a lot of reviews on a lot of properties! This property was hands down the best option for us! Pictures are exactly what the home looks like on the inside. The home is clean, conveniently located right off of Frenchman St., and spacious enough for 6 adults. Michael was a very accommodating host and communicating with him was fast and easy right through the Home Away app. When we landed in NOLA, he allowed us to store our luggage in the house before check in. He was actually on-site when we arrived (finishing up with the cleaning crew) and gave us a quick tour of the block and several recommendations for the area. I would most definitely stay here again! Thanks again, Michael for the hospitality.
Wonderful place! close enough to the action but far enough away for peace and quiet when you want it. Michael was very accommodating. Would highly recommend
The rooms were roomy and comfortable. Accessability to the busy Frenchmen St. and Jackson Square was perfect walking distance. Everything in the condo was family perfect.
This trip was for my daughters Senior extravaganza ... it was Perfect !

We come to New Orleans quite a bit and this place is the BEST by FAR! It is nice, modern and clean. Very close to everything cool in New Orleans and QUIET enough to get some sleep! Plenty of extras in the bathrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms. Love this place and we will be back for Jazz Fest!

Fantastic condo - great location
We had a great time in NOLA and this wonderful condo was a great home base for our four days there. Michael was an attentive and helpful host and the condo is stocked with lots of extras that you don't always get with a VRBO rental. Super clean and great courtyard in back. Frenchman Street is right there and it's an easy walk to the French Quarter. We will definitely stay here again.

The apartment was perfect for our two-night stay with our adult children.
The apartment was convenient to music hot spots and the Quarter. It was clean, and the bedroom /bathroom configuration was perfect for my husband and myself, our single daughter, and our daughter and son-in-law. Everyone had their privacy. The sitting area is comfy and the kitchen is modern and well equipped. My only criticism has to do with bedding. The pillows are limp, and even though they are plentiful (4 on each bed, plus sham pillows), it was hard to get head and neck comfortable. Furthermore, our mattress (in the bedroom that does not have its own bathroom) sagged in the middle, leading to restless sleep and (for me) an aggravation of my lower-back issues. Everyone else said their mattresses were fine, so it was not a problem in every room. Overall, a great, affordable place to stay.

Amazing, Eclectic, Safe, walking distance to everything!
We travel often to New Orleans, as my husband is originally from there and we just live a couple of hours away. This was our first time staying on the Frenchman Street side of things and in Marigny area and we will never stay in any other part of Nawlins. And hopefully always with a property owned by Michael. And specifically, this same apartment. The place has been recently completely remodeled, so everything is brand new, yet with the feel of Old New Orleans. Spotless! In walking distance to Frenchman, and the Quarter and of course Bourbon Street if that is your thing. However, everything you need is right there on Frenchman. Literally less than a half a block and you are walking up and down the coolest part of Nawlins. Where the locals hang...but is quickly becoming a popular destination for tourists. All the best bars, with live music are within a couple of blocks...Spotted Cat....Cafe Negril and on and on. Be sure to check out the Frenchman Street Art Market that runs every night with local artisans selling their art work. We even needed to extend our check out by a couple of hours and Michael said sure and gave us a couple of hours with no extra charge. I travel often and have many great experiences with VRBO ...but this was by far the best!! See you soon, Michael! Thanks again! Mater of fact...sending someone your way next week ...hopefully, you have some properties with availability.

Absolutely beyond expectations! Property and Owners are outstanding.
Property was exactly as advertised and pictures portrayed. Discription of property was accurate with even more included such as the upright piano in the living room. We were a group of three couples and each couple had their own space, with totally seperate bed rooms and bathrooms, though one was a half bath as advertised. Not a problem as the little things like soap, shampoo and conditioner was all provided along with just about anything else you may have needed. Towels were clean and good quality. Entire unit was clean and modern. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows of different types. It appears Michael really takes pride in this place. I do not know him but we did meet him as we had a concern about a small issue and after he answered my phone call he was there to address it within an hour. This is in line with all our questions we had prior to booking. He is prompt and accurate with communication.
They have a very useful, informative and well organized binder with tons of helpful information and history of the area. We used this to order a delicious breakfast one morning. Just another example of the professionalism of the owners.
Expect noise during the day and into the night. The other units could be heard but I do not think this is avoidable anywhere with multiple units in New Orleans. Every bedroom did have earplugs in the night stand. We never had to use them as the noise was not unacceptable. Just be prepared. New Orleans is not quiet.
It is located at the end of the busy part of Frenchman St., which in my opinion was perfect as the noise, crowds and energy were much less though still an easy walk to the Quarter. This property lets you get away and relax while still being close enough to never need transportation to the French Quarter.
We all were very impressed!
We would book this again in a heart beat.
Thank you Michael

Amazing stay at this Frenchman cottage!
We had an amazing girl's trip and our adorable, clean, well stocked cottage was a large majority of the reason! The place was impeccable, the owner super responsive to any questions we had, and a bottle of wine waiting in the fridge for us when we got there! The binder of what to do in town was fantastic, we were able to walk to the grocery store and get food and drinks for the house and cooked there most mornings. The back patio was adorable! Only thing to note is that there is street noise at night if you stay in the front bedroom, just download a white noise maker on your phone and you should be fine!! Would highly recommend this place!!

Awesome Apartment!
I can't say enough how perfect this apartment was for our group of 3 couples. Each bedroom is of comparable size, all with a queen bed & the rooms are spaced apart to offer a nice amount of privacy. No shotgun floorplan here where you may have to walk though one room to get to another! All the decor and finishes throughout are beautiful and there is ample, comfortable seating in the living space. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook; however, in a food city like New Orleans, we definitely took advantage of the amazing restaurants. This apartment's ground floor location is excellent- you can walk to the Quarter and just around the corner to all the action on Frenchmen St. There is a fantastic courtyard in the back surrounded by a privacy fence and although it is shared with other apartments in the building, we had it all to ourselves each time we used it. If you need any suggestions or inspiration at all about where to eat, what to see, music venues, etc., the owners have compiled a wonderful amount of information organized perfectly in a binder for you! While we were familiar with the music scene on Frenchmen St, we had never eaten at any of the restaurants there and the owners' recommendation for Three Muses was perfection. And I have to mention how spotlessly clean this apartment is! The owners have thought of everything, including providing such a huge supply of coffee mugs and wine glasses that our drinky group didn't even dirty them all during our stay ;) I can't say enough about this property and its owners and highly recommend it. Until next time, thanks for the memories!

Clean and comfortable gem close to Frenchmen Street fun
Our group of 4 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful 3 BR 2.5 BA VRBO. Our host had soe initial email message advice for us in trip planning, and had equipped us with a wonderful informational binder with local tips for what to see, what to hear, where to eat, and where to shop, and a welcoming bag of coffee and bottle of wine.
We had an upright piano, fun musical decor, and a well-equipped kitchen to further help us enjoy our stay. The washer/dryer was handy after an unexpected drenching in a Louisiana downpour one day.
The location is a short walk from Frenchmen Street and all its music. The only downside - people walking back through the neighborhood after their late night fun can be loud on weekend evenings - if you're a light sleeper, bring some earplugs just in case. I brought them, thought I'd use them, and fell asleep just fine without using them. In the end, this didn't cut into the sleep of any of our group of 4.
Thanks for a great and happy stay!!

Why they chose this property
I grew up in New Orleans and my favorite place in the world is Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. The historic neighborhood of the Vieux Carré and Faubourg Marigny is unlike any place in the United States or the world! I can't think of anywhere that blends culture, history, food, and nightlife seamlessly. Walking around our neighborhood feels like stepping back in time, with beautiful and unique architecture, incredible music and food at every turn. No matter if you are a history buff, a foodie, or just looking for a good time we have it all.
What makes this property unique
The building is a part of our neighborhood's fabric and continuous living history. It was originally built around 1880 by A. Duhart. An accomplished blacksmith, lightening rod and sword maker. His family lived on the top floor and his workshop was at street level. The building stands in the truest meaning of an architectural-classic and the definition New Orleans Style.
Spacious, beautiful, and completely renovated with all modern amenities by me - a third generation builder and general contractor in New Orleans.
The Location: The coolest neighborhood in New Orleans. Sandwiched between the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street and St. Claude Ave. 24 hour a day fun and some of the best food in the world is in any direction walking out the front door! You can see Frenchmen Street from the apartment's front door. Just a few easy blocks to the French Quarter and 2 blocks to St. Claude St.
