The Dairy at Burghley, Near Stamford, Cambridgeshire

The Dairy at Burghley comprises two wings named Cecil and Exeter.

Exeter Wing (accommodating ten guests):
Entrance leading directly into a large, airy open-plan family kitchen/dining room with informal seating area surrounding an open fireplace, together with a large screen Smart television. The Exeter dining area is large enough to accommodate seating for 20 guests.
The Exeter kitchen/dining room also has access to a scullery kitchen and boot room/utility room. Beautifully presented large sitting room with oak flooring and open fireplace with french windows leading to enclosed garden area providing an extraordinary view of Burghley House.
Bedroom one has a 6’ super-king size bed and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath with handheld shower attachment.
Bedroom two has a 6’ zip and link bed set up as two 3’ single beds and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath with handheld shower attachment. A set of stairs leads from bedroom two to a mezzanine twin bedroom.
Bedroom three has a 5’ double bed and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath with handheld shower attachment. A set of stairs leads from bedroom three to a mezzanine twin bedroom.
Please be aware, access to the two mezzanine level twin bedrooms is via a staircase leading from the entrance of the ground floor bedrooms below them; ideally suited to families.

Exeter Wing facilities include:
Six ring gas hob and oven, combined fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Electric whisk and hand held mixer
Two large screen smart televisions with Freeview and Satellite channels, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
A selection of books and board games are available for guests to use during their stay.

Cecil Wing (accommodating ten guests):
Entrance leading directly into a large airy open-plan family living area with kitchen, pool table and comfortable informal sitting area in front of a wood burning stove, together with a large screen Smart television.
Bedroom four has a 5’ king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Walk-in shower and separate bath with handheld shower attachment. A set of stairs leads from bedroom four to a mezzanine twin bedroom.
Bedroom five has a 6’ zip and link bed standardly set up as twin 3’ single beds and an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower only.
Bedroom six has a 6’ super-king size bed and adjacent bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath with handheld shower attachment. The set of stairs adjacent to bedroom six leads to a mezzanine twin bedroom.
Please be aware, access to the two mezzanine level twin bedrooms is via a staircase leading from the entrance of the ground floor bedrooms below them; ideally suited to families.

Gardens:
The Dairy has two distinctive gardens.
The internal garden is south west facing and bounded by a solid cleft oak fence and a "finished" new hornbeam hedge. It is simplistic in design with a formal lawned area edged by rectangular planting with beds of low yew cones with a hedge of Hidcote and Mumstead lavender.
The rear east facing garden is informal in design and offers superb views across the beautiful Parkland to Burghley House. The Park was Lancelot 'Capability' Brown’s longest commission. This informal garden gives guests a wonderful view of the Burghley Horse Trials Cross Country course and the Dairy Mound complex with its superb 16th century plantings of Common Lime and Sweet Chestnut trees.

Combined fridge/freezer, dishwasher and commercial glass washer.
Two highchairs and two cots.
All-weather rattan garden furniture available.
Parking for ten cars.
