It was great to have the pool. Maria was very helpful in getting a crib and a fan for us and for recommending an excellent chef.

Lovely host and view BUT not with the money
Maria is a lovely host and very helpful.
The villa has beautiful view BUT
1. It is located in the middle of nowhere
2. When we arrived we
Didn’t find enough bedsheets and towels
3. We saw a mouse on the terrace
4. The place was flooded with ants
5. We were badly bitten by some insects after first night in the bed
6. When living we left 2 cases and 2 birthday bouquets down the stairs behind closed gate
When we went back to the house for the rest of things the flowers were stolen

Dear Marina
Thanks for your lovely words about my person. Really appreciate them, but let me clarify some points about your review just to be honest.
it looks that it was been written much as for resentment cause you asked for a refund and we didn't give you it
1. The house is not in the middle of nowhere but at just few steps from the main road where local bus passes to reach all the stores and beaches.
2. towels and linens are regularly provided as par the exact number of people staying at the house. You booked for 4 and you were in 6. You could ask for them in advance.
3. mice are not ours, there are gardens and mountains around the area.
4. Ants arrived because you left food out from the fridge and all around the house. We recommended you to do not leave it out around , you also signed our welcome paper where it is cleary written that is under your responsability.
5. insects are not our. You came in the middle of the hottest summer of the last ten years, it was easier to ask for a repellent. We could provided it for sure.
6. You left flowers and cases close to the rubbish boxes, the ecological operator passed by and thrown them, we have not thieves we sleep whit doors and windows opened.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at the Villa, it was exactly as described. Nice, clean, safe, everything in good working order. I would suggest having a universal charger, I had forgotten. The stairs to enter villa are very steep if you have mobility issues this is not the villa for you. Also you may need help in bringing suitcase up, Tina helped us so it was fine. It was close to bus, we actually used drivers and at times the drivers thought it too narrow to enter the street, not a fact but the drivers insisted. Tina great to introduce us to great drivers who drove us directly. The pool is the perfect size for a dip. The bedroom with two beds does not have a window and there is a pull out couch that was helpful as one of the girls was claustrophobic and could not sleep in that room. There is a/c which we only used a bit, windows sufficed to cool the villa. There is a full sized fridge which was also nice. I would also suggest having a coffee/cappucino maker along with one morning of coffee. A plus is that Tina provided three restaurants nearby that provided complimentary rides to and from their restaurants. All in all a great stay

We were a group of eight, including 3 teenagers, and had a lovely stay at this property. There were several features of this property that I loved. First, there were the floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms and living room which overlooked the blue waters. One of the bathrooms, (with jacuzzi), also had a beautiful arched window overlooking the waters. The outdoor area which included a dining space and a small pool had beautiful views & ample space to relax, enjoy breakfast or hangout in the pool.
Maria, the property manager, was extremely helpful, and prompt with communications. She arrived at the house during check-in, and drove us to and back from the grocery store. Thank you, Maria for your help and sweetness.
As lovely the house and the views are, don’t expect fancy. It is furnished simply. The mattresses, pillows, linens were clean and adequate, but not luxurious. But we were okay with it. With regards to ants, the house instructions were clear about being careful about not leaving open food around the house, and we were careful. But really, if a few ants in the house upsets you, this house is not for you. In a warm place, surrounded with nature, if you are not going to stay glassed-in, it is not a big surprise if ants or bugs get in!
Location: the house is close to the last local bus stop on the hill. It is better to walk down a couple of stops as sometimes the bus skipped the last stop. We used the bus or hiked up and down the steps - 15-20 mins to the grocery store and 35-40 mins to Marina de Praia, the beach (pebbles and not sand). But it was fun to see the houses of the local people and discover “Bob’s glass artwork” and get a little lost at times - certainly part of the charm of living in Praiano. I would highly recommend Alfonso, of Atrani luxury service, for his professionalism and great car service.
Praiano is more peaceful and we preferred it to Positano (which has nice, albeit, expensive shopping). We used buses to travel to Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento.
I gave this property 4 stars because the kitchen was bare (had olive oil & much-appreciated 2 bottles of cold water). I would like to suggest to the owner to provide the following for future guests: Salt, Pepper, Sugar, Coffee, Tea, Paper towel, Lighter/matches, 1 dry pasta pkt, and perhaps, dry basil. A new utensils scrubber, basic shower gel/shampoo, laundry detergent will also be appreciated. & Candles/lamp to be able to use the outdoor area in the night.
We rented this property in October and there were just 2 of us. At the price we paid, we thought the villa would be nicer. Given the weather was turning, we weren't able to use the outside dining area, pool, nor A/C, and those may be the best parts of this villa.
We cook many of our meals and the kitchen was not outfitted as well as suggested. In fact, there wasn't even a chopping knife, but Maria did get us one the next day. We did not experience any ants in the kitchen. For a newly renovated place, many of the furnishings seemed old, cheaply made, or were breaking. As another reviewer stated, the shower has a serious water issue. Either the water is scalding or it is cold and it fluctuates back and forth between the two. Twice Maria told us the owner would get to it, but we never saw or heard from him. We did hear some noise from neighbors, and when there are people in the flat above, you'll hear them walking around and moving chairs.
The villa is quite high up the mountain, as another reviewer said, and it can be a bit tricky figuring out the bus situation. It's easily a 20 minute walk to the lower part of town and it's all stairs. That's certainly part of the charm, but be ready.
We really enjoyed being in Praiano and not Amalfi or Positano. The town was quieter and less crowded. Maria was so incredibly nice and helpful, telling us where to park, where to buy vegetables and fruit, where to hike. She's a gem! The view from the villa is very nice.
I think with a little tender loving care, this could be a great place. It had what we needed, but we didn't feel it was a good value for us.
This villa was very nice and well appointed. The views were spectacular and it was very spacious for me and my husband. You should note that this villa is very high up on the cliff and you will need a method of transportation to get to town or restaurants. We rented a scooter to get around and only took the bus once because the schedules were not accurate. If you are looking for privacy and quiet time then this is a nice place to stay. The pool was beautiful and the outdoor dining area was nice. We called Maria on the first day because of ants by the pool. We found ants indoors as well despite how often we cleaned and swept the floors. I would advise to bring bug spray while sitting outdoors as well. Maria was easy to reach and answered all of our questions. She provided us with information about the local festival and fireworks show which we absolutely loved! There is supermarket not too far (about a 15-20 minute walk downhill) and they will give you a ride back to the villa for free which was nice. The beach in Praiano is about a 30-40 minute walk downhill but we never attempted to walk there. We took our scooter everywhere and it would have been difficult to rely on public transportation at this time of year. The busses were packed full of people and taxis were expensive ($20 for a ride back to the villa from town in a golf cart).
The bathrooms are nice and spacious but we found that the stand-up shower was difficult to get the right temperature. It would get very hot or very cold and it was a tight space to shower in. The air conditioning worked well and was very nice to have. The rooms were spacious and the views spectacular but the mattresses are a bit hard. We appreciated the kitchen full of appliances and utensils. We cooked breakfast on most days. This villa also has a washing machine which we found helpful. There are many steps to arrive to the front door and a villa above and below. We didn't have any issues with our neighbors so it wasn't an issue.
Overall, we really enjoyed being in Praiano for the privacy and quiet relaxation. You will need a way to get around but regardless it was a beautiful stay and Maria was very helpful. We would recommend this villa to other and look forward to visiting again!

Beautiful Views and Very Spacious
Marie met us and a friend that arrived earlier to get us safely to the house. She gave us all of the information we needed to get groceries and restaurant recommendations. She even changed our reservation from the first property to this one to accommodate our friend that had an injury and could make too many stairs.
