Perfect for our family reunion with ten adults and 14 kids ranging from 2 to 16! Rooms were clean and comfortable, kitchen and dining area well suited to prepping and feeding the troop, and the property was amazing! Kids played in the water for hours!

Wonderful and Beautiful

This cabin is beautiful inside and out! We had 16 guests and there was plenty of room for everyone with extra beds left over! The outside is perfect for relaxing or fishing in the river. Our family loved it here and will definitely be back! Andy was great to work with and he was excellent on communicating!

Great Family Vacation!

This cabin was the best cabin I’ve ever stayed in! My extended family travels to the mountains every year but this location has been the best! The cabin itself is spacious and clean. The property manager, Andy, is very attentive and responds quickly! The house has plenty of rooms and plenty of beds for our family of 22. We loved the fire pit and porch swings around it! We spent time listening to music and thinking about my uncle who passed away last year that loved the mountains. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Awesome!

Great place for a group or family reunion. Large bedrooms and a huge bunk bed room with queen buck beds. Great firepit, fishing, tubing and more. Our weather was perfect for all activities and the 10 kids in our group had a blast outside and in the game room. The 12 adults were very comfortable as well. Shady porches, quiet at night and close to 3 different towns with lots to offer as well. We highly recommend this place and we will be back!

Winter Retreat

This property was everything we needed and more. My youth group had plenty of things to do and tons of room to roam. The beds were extremely comfortable and their was plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans, grills and balckstones to cook on. We wne hiking 5 miles up the road to an amazing swinging bridge and area for kids to enjoy. Will definitely be back! Thank u!

Great Getaway

This is a great property for families who may be traveling together with children. Three stories and plenty of bathrooms and beds to accommodate what I would think would be most of any mix of groups. The property is a great size plenty of room for kids to be outside and play as well as enjoy the creek. The kitchen is well supplied with pots and pans, and the host has allowed items to be left from previous visitors, such as seasonings, and things that you would either have to bring with you and use just a little bit of or go by the store, which is an hour away. We found the outside grills to be in working condition and did most of our cooking on the Blackstone, which is fantastic when cooking for large groups. The only negative thing and it's not that big of a deal to me is the property does need some maintenance on the exterior and interior but none of that was detrimental to our stay in any way. To some degree it should be expected from a property that is primarily used as a short term rental hosting families with children.

Wonderful home and management!

My husband and I decided to rent a cabin for our wedding that was big enough to house close family and friends and this property did not disappoint! Everything about it was a smooth and easy experience! The house is beautiful and has more than enough space for everyone! Andy, the property manager is amazing and I can’t say enough good things! We ended up needing some things taken care of while we were there and Andy was so prompt and made sure that we were well taken care of while we stayed. This is one of those hidden gems on this website and I’m so glad we were able to have our wedding here! Thank y’all again for an amazing experience!

Cleanliness

Furniture needs to be moved and cleaned under. Dishes in cabinets were dirty. Dirty dishes left in dishwasher. We really love this cabin. This is our second time staying, but this time we had cleanliness issues. We also didn't have enough towels for everyone staying. Empty hand soap containers left. No toilet tissue in one bathroom. The Foosball table had a broken piece on it when we arrived. We would love to return because of the peacefulness of the cabin, but I would hope some of these things could be resolved. I understand it is under new management and figured you needed to know our experience this time. Thank you and really hope to return next year.

Not a Terrible Place

The cabin had plenty of space for sleeping arrangements, but the common areas were quite small. It could have been a bit cleaner. The floors had some trash, surfaces were dusty, broken blinds, and the couches were definitely old and worn. Listing stated there was cable tv, but none of the tvs had cable, not sure if it was a satellite issue, but the weather was good and we tried to troubleshoot to no avail. It took us about 40 minutes to get to downtown blue ridge. 35 minutes to the closest Walmart. 16 minutes to the closest winery. All in all, it was an okay place to stay for the weekend, but we will probably try to find somewhere more convenient and with a bit more open space in the common areas. Also, the master bedroom did not have its own bathroom, which wasn’t an issue for us. The host was nice and communication was good.

Not an ideal vacation for the money charged.

The setting was beautiful. We all enjoyed being so close to the river. Kitchen was nice and it was great to have two refrigerators. However, a lot of the furniture needs to be replaced. The dining chairs were falling apart and one of the beds in main floor bedroom was about to fall down. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The children loved playing the games in the basement but the floor was cold concrete and the entire basement was freezing. It helped if the fireplace in the basement was left on all the time but it was not enough heat to make it really warm. If inside the house had been as perfect as outside was it would be perfect. There were some good things about the house, two refrigerators, lots of beds, the view and great games for the children but here were a lot of things that were not good too. For the amount of money charged the house was definitely lacking.

The property itself is beautiful and has great potential for a relaxing stay. However, the only issue we experienced was with the cleanliness of the kitchen and the stained bed sheets, which was very concerning upon arrival. The kitchen’s condition really set the tone for our stay. A deep cleaning is definitely needed for this cabin. There were also many gnats and flies already present when we arrived, making it difficult to cook comfortably. Although the property manager responded quickly and was polite, the issue wasn’t fully resolved, and we ended up cleaning everything ourselves before cooking.

About the Owner: Hi, I'm Colby the owner, Andy is my Rental Agent and will be happy to assist you in your vacation needs! I moved to Blue Ridge years ago, after traveling around the world for over a decade as a flying trapeze artists (true story!) Having grown up just down the road in Atlanta, Blue Ridge and the North GA mountains always held a special place in my heart, so I was beyond thrilled to "run away from the circus" and have the chance to make this heaven on earth my home!

I love being able to share the majesty of Blue Ridge with guests from all over the world, and hear their stories of epic family gatherings and laughter-filled groups of friends coming together for good times and adventure. We also are proud to offer the only flying trapeze school for several hundred miles, so if you're feeling a daring streak, come try a class with us!

Why they chose this property

Having seen hundreds of cabins both on and off the river during my years in Blue Ridge, I knew the first time I saw this property that it had something magical about it. Very few properties offer both river and creek frontage, and with the rustic barn and wide open level yard space (another rarity up here in the mountains), my heart was swept away. I knew that this would be a vacation heaven for countless groups for many years to come, and couldn't wait to share it with the world! The Toccoa River is the lifeblood of Blue Ridge, and once you spend a few hours here you'll feel its powerful energy coursing through you as surely as I do.

What makes this property unique

One of the only properties in all of North Georgia with both a river AND a creek! Trout fishing for the adults, play time for the kids, and the most picturesque setting you'll find anywhere for hundreds of miles!!
