Very bright and comfortable apartment on the 2nd and last floor of our family house
In a residential area close to all amenities, 300 meters from a magnificent cycle path that crisscrosses the countryside along the Bruche Canal.

Wonderful stay in Eckbolsheim

Surprisingly, we didn’t get to Strasbourg as often as planned but instead discovered the tiny village with the Velhop bike rental and by foot and fell in love. The apartment had everything we needed and the host was very supportive.

Nice apartment for a couple!

I went there with a friend, two sleeping rooms, unfotunately the second room is less nice and calm than the other room. But for a couple it is a great apartment!

We loved this rental unit. It was everything as described. We felt very much at home, even better when a lady dropped of a dessert for us. It was delicious, made us feel special. Added bonus was to be so close to grocery store and the tram!!

Very nice apartment in older residential area

Sylviane is a great host and very responsive to communication. The apartment is very clean and well represented by the description. There are only a few minor things that cause me not to give it 5/5 on everything, where some hosts go the extra mile to make sure you are as comfortable as humanly possible. Nonetheless we would stay again if in the area.

Lovely flat, well placed, great hosts

We found a really nice flat in a small pretty village (become a suburb) with nice restaurants, and well served by buses and a tram into Strasbourg. Which itself is such a pretty town - especially the bridges and La Petite France. Lots of tourists, of course, but we found the infrastructure can handle them. We particularly enjoyed the boat trip around the river L'Ill, climbing up the cathedral tower and walking over the Rhine to Germany! The people generally are friendly, and Sylviane and her parents (who live downstairs) are very helpful and generous hosts, with quick response to any queries, good recommendations, lots of information and - every now and then - delicious fruit from their garden. The only things to be aware of are 2 flights of stairs to the flat, so you need some fitness, and the bicycles on the pavements outside!

A lovely home from home

A cosy and relaxing home from home, in the lovely Strasbourg suburb of Eckbolsheim. Easy walking distance to the centre of Eckbolsheim (with a supermarket, brasseries, post office, etc. and lots of classic Alsacian architecture) and the canal. It felt very close to the edge of the city, but also easy to get into the centre of Strasbourg thanks to the nearby tram (5 mins walk) at Poteries - fast, frequent, reliable and well-priced. Poteries is a very modern area adjacent to Eckbolsheim, and didn’t have the same town/village character of the suburb. The apartment itself was lovely, taking up the top floor of a 3-floor house. It felt very homely and welcoming (especially with the toys our daughter could play with) - ideal for a couple or a family with one or two children - and everything felt clean. The host was friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great local recommendations to try with our daughter (like the amazing local indoor/outdoor swimming pool in Lingolsheim). Her parents live in the apartment below, and were very friendly too - even bringing us some mirabelle (in season during our stay) and other fruit! Strasbourg has a beautiful city centre. Once you are there, it is easy to walk around, with beautiful buildings, especially along the canal/river fronts of Petite-France. We also took a tram ride out to the European Parliament. Near there, I would also recommend the Parc de l’Orangerie, a lovely park for a picnic, with a great children’s playground and a free little zoo. Strasbourg is also very bike friendly, with many dedicated cycle lanes. Strasbourg is also surrounded by beautiful mountainous countryside - with the Vosges Mountains to the west and the Black Forest across the border in Germany. The lower slopes of both are covered in vineyards. If we visit Strasbourg again (and I hope we will), we will definitely stay here again.

Perfekte Unterkunft für die kleine Familie oder Paare!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Ich habe tatsächlich nichts zu bemängeln! Die Gastgeberinn war sehr nett und sehr gut erreichbar. Zusätzlich hat man für dringende Fragen auch noch Ansprechpartner im Haus. Ein sicherer Parkplatz ist vorhanden und eine super Anbindung mit ÖPNV an die City! Es gibt eine Waschküche im Keller mit ausreichend Platz, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und die Wohnung war sehr schön eingerichtet! Das WLAN war sehr schnell und die Wohnung insgesamt sehr ruhig. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und können die Ferienwohnung empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder, wenn wir wieder nach Straßburg fahren!
