We had a wonderful time here, our host was very responsive and there was so much to do in the surrounding area that we filled a whole week with activities, some in Maine and some in New Hampshire. The house could use A/C on the first floor but other than that we were very satisfied.

A perfect cozy getaway for us and our two dogs. Comfortable and had everything we needed. The host was wonderful to work with. We practically had the area to ourselves this first week in October and the year-round residents were friendly and pleasant.
Bags of rustic charm and very well equipped for a peaceful stay on the lake. On the ground floor, an open plan kitchen, seating and dining area. Stairs lead up to a mezzanine and bedroom. There is an elevated deck, with steps down to a small dock, additional seating area and a fire pit, where you can relax and listen to the calling loons. The owner is friendly and responds very quickly to any questions. Overall, a great place to stay.
Simply put, I had an amazing time. I wish I had a longer reservation. The property was clean and most importantly for me, safe. The homes may be relatively close but it felt like I was alone. Jana is very communicative and there were no problems at all. I would rent this place again and again.
We had a great time. Loon Pond is beautiful. If there was anything that we could find wrong was how hot the inside of the cabin gets even with both fans going. You should update the menus that you recommend. We found out they were outdated or closed. Great place to go if you are looking for a quiet getaway.

Hi Diane,
Thank you for your feedback. Ted’s had a fire sadly, and I did forget to remove that menu. I know guests leave them and sometimes I forget to double check if they are up to date so thank you for the reminder. I will go through them all. With an all glass front house it can get warm if the curtains are open and the house is all closed up, that is why we have provided 2 fans, an AC, and have the ceiling fan. We appreciate you staying with us! Thank you again.

Relaxation at its finest
This was a great experience for my girlfriend and I with our 70lb shep/lab up from Enfield CT. Loon pond was great, bass are plenty and it's shallow for the most part, 10ft. We spent our week making food in the kitchen and on the grill with a few takeout places nearby, floating in our tubes and walking. We tried Ted's for seafood and lords clam box for seafood, which is little further down main street. The other neighbors were hardly around during our stay which made it even better. The beautiful exposed wood was very rustic and made the camp seem much more authentic! It's definitely the nicer camps around that part of the neighborhood. Be sure to check the supplies and from previous renters as you may not need to purchase some things at the store. Thanks to Diana and Lauren for the hospitality! We will definitely be back, we all enjoyed our stay very much!

Thank you Joe! We very much appreciate you choosing to stay with us! We look forward to seeing you down the line! Thank you so very much:)
If your looking for a quiet place to go and to unwind this is your place. It's suitable for smaller gatherings 4 max comfortably. My wife and I ended up staying here with our 10 month old and it was perfect. The fishing is great. I caught 4 bass the last 1 being 4lbs. 🤘 Didn't get to swim as it wasn't warm enough but that was ok. I did get a leach on me but that's a given in any body of water when I was standing in the water while fishing. At night the loons talk to each other making it relaxing to listen to on the deck with a beer in hand. I'd come back for sure. Host was a fantastic and responded if I reached out with any questions. Thank you

Thank you so much Danny, Caroline, Oliver it was an absolute pleasure to host you all! We truly appreciate your kind words! Hope to see you again:).
Overall it was very enjoyable with the location and pond setting. The host is great and easy to communicate with. The two properties on the left and right don’t seem to have had anyone there all year, the one house on the left of the rental is definitely abandoned and bit of an eye sore. If you don’t mind, it actually is nice as you don’t really have immediate neighbors. The rental is located in a private community and you will hear law mowers, blowers, construction on surrounding houses so don’t expect complete peacefulness. We experienced very early morning blowers and one neighbor starting his work truck (semi) and letting idle for an hour Saturday morning from 7:30-8:30. The pond is surprisingly active with inboard/outboard motor boats and jet skis. For the most part, you could float and hang in the beautiful water with not to much turbulence. Most operators were respectful when coming into the cove where the rental is located. We had the house during the summer and despite opening windows and placing fans for a few hours, the house was too hot for a small a/c unit located upstairs in the one bedroom. That was quickly resolved with an amazing host delivering an additional a/c unit the next morning. Overall, a wonderful stay and great place. Those lesser appealing things noted are essential out of the host’s control. You will not be disappointed!
This was a nice getaway for us. We spent time boating, swimming, sitting on the deck listening to the loons, napping….and relaxing! The cottage was nicely appointed and had everything one might need. The hostess was very helpful answering our many questions and being available. A very nice week!
Not a lot to complain about here. Amazing view, direct lake access, WONDERFUL host. We did not want to come back. At. All. Thank you Jana for a great place to stay and escape the world!
Such a fantastic spot for a vacation or getaway!!!
We stayed 9 days at lake house and it was absolutely gorgeous each day we were there. The lake is so quiet, but everyone is so nice and thoughtful around you! We had an amazing time on the water, hanging around the house and we were able to venture off to the acton fair while we were on our stay. Which is within 3 min of the lake house! We especially want to thank Lauren for everything she did to make our stay feel so welcomed and relaxing!
We also want to mention- the house is so well equipped with all your personal needs/wants, they really make you feel like you are already right at home.
We definitely will be back and recommend staying here!
Thank you again for everything Lauren!

The Lake House is a beautiful experience. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. It has everything a traveler would want. Including a "welcome" bottle of wine. The pond is very clean and perfect for swimming ( it does get deep fast which keeps the kids close). Yes, the loons do make the whole experience just that much better. They "scream" and "talk" and are such a great blessing to see. Also, Eagles, herons, osprey, ducks and a few others. The location to anything you might want to do is perfect. You do have to drive the winding roads of the Nor-East but the reward is worth it. From seafood places to the ocean to LL Bean the location can't be beat. Groceries just a mere five miles away. And so much more in between. One caveat, Monday through Friday is just as peaceful as one could imagine. However, come Saturday and Sunday- lookout. All of a sudden the pond shrinks and the population multiplies geometrically. Sea-dos, motor boats and skiers, etc. We don't know the habits/rules of the people in Maine and that could be something everybody who owns lake property knows and accepts. We are very grateful that a place like Loon Pond is available for us to rent. We did love the place and would recommend it to anyone.
We had a nice week. The stairs killed my knees and we would have liked maybe a small beach but we befriended some local wildlife and had a very relaxing week
The owner is very nice with excellent communication! We enjoyed the cottage so much...had a relaxing and fun week :) Quaint pond atmosphere, stores are less than 15 minutes away, very convenient.

Beautiful view and location
This cozy lake cottage had all the amenities that we needed. The view from the deck was fantastic and we enjoyed it in the morning with coffee and in afternoon with wine. Access to Loon Lake via a new dock was great for our kayaking and water toys. A word of caution about the staircase to the water in that it’s steep so watch those knees! We had a memorable vacation there!

Peace and quiet in the woods on the lake. Beautiful views especially from the loft
A great place for the 4 of us with a dog. But maybe not the best choice for seniors and those with very young children due to the steep stairs and the loft. All 5 of us (including the dog) loved it. Thanks for sharing your home

I moved to Maine at a young age and always knew it was home. Work, however, keeps me on the go. The second I saw this home I fell in love, after searching for the perfect home in Southern Maine for years.
