Totally refurbished to welcome you, its entire space was designed for your comfort and well-being. The modern and careful decoration is in tune with the historical streets that surround this city building. With a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom and a generous open space, this apartment is perfect to discover the charms of Funchal.
The house is fully equipped and has all the amenities to make you feel at home.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA
This house is located in a privileged central area, right in the heart of the city of Funchal. At 15 minutes walking distance from the Lavradores Market and the Old Town of Funchal, from here you can explore on foot the several touristic points of our beautiful city (e.g. Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)

TRANSPORTATION
With a bus stop in the vicinity (five minutes away), transport will not be a problem for our guests.
For departures and arrivals from the airport, there is an aerobus stop about seven minutes from the house, although the best option to reach the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport!

OTHER REMARKS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid identification document (e.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not booked within a maximum of 48 hours, guests will be subject to our staff's availability.
- All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also place a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and fire blanket at all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

All good

All good, but I think property should keep extra 4 AA batteries for the lock inside the studio, since it is powered by them. Also, please mention Santa Luzia parking as a recommendation, since it is not far away and is much cheaper then the ones mentioned in the listing.

Great place to stay! Very convenient location and lots of amenities.

Lovely little town flat, looks bigger on the pictures though! Great location right in the heart of Funchal, we rented a car and there’s lots of car parks nearby. The flat had hairdryer, iron and Board and a fully equipped kitchen. Very clean at a great price!

Good spot near all facilities - taxi station - municipal garden to have a drink or meal- sometimes music group there - several little restaurants on this street - ex. good one dish salad - try Poncha local drink - touched by the kindness of local people

One Month Stay

Overall we were happy with the location in old town Funchal, Madeira Island. The apartment was within short walking distance to farmer’s market, shopping center, grocery stores, restaurants, seashore, and parks. We were a little disappointed that there was no regular oven as per listing, only a microwave and a two burner stove top. Also, the refrigerator was very small. We still enjoyed our stay and adjusted with the available appliances.

Nice apartment and great location- but a few disappointing parts to the stay

It's a nice apartment with a great location. We stayed 3 nights and had a good time, but had a number of annoying instances in our relatively short stay. Our main issue was repairmen coming unannounced to do minor repairs in the bathroom and then being told we couldn't use the shower for two hours. The bathroom door needs repairing and wouldn't close unless you used excessively force wedge it so that it wouldn't then swing open. The kitchen is well equipped, but if you want to use the kettle or another appliance, you have to do it on the floor because there is no powerpoint. Also, this last point is fairly trivial, but we were provided half a roll of toilet paper for our 3 nights. I would expect for that length of stay and at that cost, we probably should have gotten a full roll and a spare.

I like the location of Downtown app, i will recommend it to my friends. All is perfect inside the app. One acception of appart 1B are street lamps outside the window. The light all the night is annoing. It will be very well if there were a blinds on the windows.

Das Apartment ist in bester Lage mit vorzüglicher Ausstattung. Die Übergabe an uns freundlich und informativ. Der Trubel in der Straße mit den vielen Angeboten an Restaurants hat uns gut gefallen. Wir kommen gern wieder, auch wenn es keinen Parkplatz gibt. Ein Hinweis in den Unterlagen auf die besten und preiswerten Parkhäuser wäre hilfreich gewesen, ebenso wie die Empfehlung, die Fenster bei Nacht ganz zu schließen. Die nächtliche Müllabfuhr ist sehr laut!!!! Trotzdem-- dias Apartment ist perfekt. Wir kommen sicher wieder
