Newly renovated, 4 bedroom farmhouse with spacious sitting room, traditional inglenook fireplace. For families, groups or simply for those who want space, calm and charm!
Newly equipped modern kitchen with large table &chairs. Each bedroom with ensuite. Heated all through and cool during the hot days.
A large garden to relax in or lounge on the terrace area. Take a dip in the outdoor pool (not heated). Enjoy the BBQ with some french wine. Safe for the children to run about and play on the swing. Relax in the hammock next to them and read a book under the oak tree or play a game of tennis/badmington.
La Forge is situated in a small hamlet approximately 1 mile out of the village on the borders of Normandy, Brittany and Pays de la Loire. The Bar is English speaking who serve French and English food. Local towns have Bars/restaurants that serve the Plats de Jour at very reasonable prices from their menu.
Creperie’s, haute cuisine if you prefer to try the local cuisine
Local towns for your shopping, local markets. Plenty of places to visit of historic value, ideal for cycling, walking, leisure parks for swimming, horse riding, tennis, golfing, chateaux to visit and many restaurants to try the local cuisine.
Day trips out to La Mans 1.5hrs away. The famous Le Mont St Michel to visit, WW11 museums and beaches for some day trips out. Visit the coasts to expereince the oyster catching which are supplied to all parts of the world. The choice is yours?

Please take out the rubbish from the bins upsatairs as well as in the kitchen to the recycling
Please make sure the bbq is left clean
Leave the pool topped up with water with the blue solar cover left over the water
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No excessive noise music with respect to the neighbours and the community especially after 10pm
Smoking is permitted outside but do not throw cigarette ends around outside.
Rubbish must be taken to the designated re-cycling bins and also when you leave including bathroom bins.

Beautiful house in a pretty and peaceful area

We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful and spacious property. It is in a very peaceful area, and in a convenient location for visiting numerous places of interest in the region. Margaret is a wonderful host, who is always available if needed, but never imposing. The house was very clean and modern, equipped with everything we needed, with 4 very comfortable en suite bedrooms. The garden around the property is very generous and secluded. We would highly recommend this property and if we return to the area, we hope to stay here again.

Het huis was compleet en goed ingericht. In de grote tuin was het heerlijk rustig te vertoeven. De droger bleek niet voor handen, maar dat werd na een week verholpen. Er was geen airco maar wel in iedere slaapkamer een ventilator. Graham was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In een straal van ca. 100 kilometer in zowel Normandië als Bretagne was veel te zien. In 3 weken tijd zijn wij iedere dag naar een andere bestemming gegaan. Eenmaal hadden wij gedurende 20 minuten een regenbui. Verder altijd droog en vaak mooi weer. Dit adres is echt een aanrader voor wat comfort en uitgaansmogelijkheden betreft.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a great time. Wonderful place to stay and lots of nice places to go to, also with young children. Margaret is really sweet and helpfull! We would definatly recommend te house and the area.

séjour chaleureux et visites autour

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison de Margaret pour le nouvel an (6 adultes, 6 enfants). Accueil sympathique. Les atouts qu'on a surtout appréciés: - Salon-séjour très chaleureux avec les 3 canapés autour du poêle! - Grand jardin: super pour les enfants notamment.. ça donne envie de revenir aux beaux jours profiter de la petite piscine hors sol!! - les visites autour sont riches: Lassay-les-châteaux par exemple, superbe balade.. -les 4 chambres bénéficient de 4sdb ce qui est très pratique pour l'intimité.. Attention cependant, il y a 10 lits dans les chambres, le reste des couchettes correspond aux canapés dépliés du salon. Bonne adresse, je recommande. Karine

Ben does rescue saving of greyshouds with his partner.

Why they chose this property

The property was owned by a syndicate of friends of which I purchased it from. It’s an ideal location to get from the ferries, or the airports of Dinard or Rennes. Not too long a distance to drive from the airports. Only 3/4 hours from Paris and 1.5/2 hours to travel to the coast.

What makes this property unique

La Forge sits in a small hamlet where you have the advantage of getting away from it all to chill and recharge or visit places in Brittany, Normandy or drive deeper into Pays de la Loire.
Good for Parisians to take a long weekend or for you to visit Paris. Disney World. The choice is yours?
