THE SPACE :

LIVING ROOM:

The living room is the most spacious one very suitable for large groups. Lots of sitting place to unwind you wont have any complaints with space I promise. Large glass windows to enjoy the unobstructed view of the mountain and lake and enjoy the open star filled sky at nights ( we have a telescope which is another big hit with our guest)

KITCHEN:
There are so many top restaurants to try out in the area, but sometimes there is nothing like a home-cooked meal. This gourmet kitchen has everything you need to make meals just like you do at home.

You’ll find stainless steel appliances, including a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, stove, and range hood. There is also a toaster, kettle, French press and coffee machine with coffee & tea provisions. Cooking basics, utensils and kitchenware are provided, and a sizeable pantry completes the set-up.

The bright and spacious main floor and fully stocked kitchen allows for gathering and entertaining whilst you enjoy the breathtaking views of the hill side through the large glass windows in all directions.

BEDROOMS:

The 4 bedrooms are large and tastefully designed with luxury ultra -comfortable beds and linen to create a nostalgic ambience so you can enjoy a good night sleep. Did I mention the master bedroom has huge glass windows to enjoy the beautiful garden view.

BATHROOMS:
There are two bathrooms in this beautiful place. The master bathroom is in the corridor so you can access it without having to disturb others in the group. The other bathroom is a powder room and is also accessible by the remaining rooms. Dry off with hotel quality towels and take advantage of the luxury bath products provided.

BACK DECK & PATIO:

The back deck faces the Picton Bay Lots of outdoor seating space. BBQ or sit by the fire pit eating s’mores and enjoying nighttime stories or simply unwind in the pergola over the hill there is something for everyone.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES:

If you want to spend time and enjoy inside the house and cozy up there are tons of group games ( we have a full closet of them this is a hit with most of our guest) and classic VHS tapes and movies to keep you entertained

The house and property were beautiful and it was in a great location. The host was very communicative and the house was very well stocked with everything we needed. The one bedroom with the bunk beds was extremely small but otherwise the rooms and house were very spacious. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great house for 6-8 people, only one full bathroom but we managed with 7 people. Large kitchen table for dinners and patio table was great in the evening when it was cooler. We used the gazebo down by the water for our 5 a 7 every day.

The best!

We came with 2 seniors, 4 adults and 2 kids under 7. Everyone slept comfortably and enjoyed everything this place offered. The side room with the couch was perfect to hang out when the kids went to bed - very quiet space apart from the main cottage. Brand new bathrooms were very clean and very well stocked. Photos don’t do this place justice- it’s much more spacious than we thought. Beautiful property- we made use of the Sandbanks passes, Bbq, and fire pit but not the hot tub only because there was no time. Games, movies and books were a plus! Highly recommend for a friends or family getaway.

Peace and quiet with a view

This was our first visit to Prince Edward County and it did not disappoint. House is well-appointed and comfortable. Backyard is spacious and with an excellent view. Walking distance from two fantastic restaurants, and a quick drive to Picton. Loved our stay!

Amazing Stay

We spent 4 days at the little house on the mountain and had an amazing stay. The inside of the cottage is even better then the pictures and the property and view were great! Our kids really enjoyed the VHS movies and having fires every night. Really close to Waupoos and a walk to lake on the mountain, definitely highly recommended for anyone looking for both a cottage and county experience.

Nice place to have fun and relax

It's a very nice place that we really enjoyed. It's a quiet place with evening that we needed. I was able to communicate with the manager easily for some help at the beginning of our stay. It would be good to mention that the charging station is for camping car because we thought that it was for electric car. We were still able to charge our car with a regular power extension but having the detail could prevent confusion.

A perfect place to relax and go wine-tasting

Our group of six had a wonderful time at the Little House on the Mountain. The check-in and checkout process was seamless. The house itself was spotless and extremely comfortable. Our group loved the VHS and Super Nintendo selection! Not only is there a gorgeous view from the house, it's also a great place to start any adventures of the County - with Lake on the Mountain and Waupoos Cidery nearby, you don't even have to go too far. For anything further, the hosts put together a lovely basket with all the maps and guides you could need (they even include a pass to Sandbanks!). They also left a bottle of local wine in the fridge for us which was perfect for our next day of wine-tasting. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and it exceeded our expectations. We'd love to come back in the summer to try out the backyard.

Beautiful location

This property is beautiful! The bedrooms were comfortable. The livingroom was great with lots of seating and many dvds and movies as well as a smart tv. And the bathroom was well stocked with lots of towels and facecloths. Unfortunately, there were at least a dozen lively house flies in the place as well as quite a number of dead ones in the window. Also, while the kitchen had lots of appliances on the counter - kettle, blender, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder - there was only one outlet by the kitchen counter and half of it was to plug in electronics so it was not possible to make toast and coffee or tea at the same time. The only other outlets in the kitchen were too far from the counter or table to use with the sppliances.

our Long weekend

We were 7 adults all retiaries. 3 couples and one single. all the couples loved theirs rooms, their bedding, and beds. The single person was not able to squeezed into the small room and those beds were not for adults. She was afraid of not being able to escape in case of emergency. Luckily she was comfortable on the sofa. That person lack privacy. We loved the shower, enjoy the TV. The furniture were comfortable. The kitchen is well stock and we were able to find everything to prepare our meal. Love the choice of coffee makers as we all have our different taste. Maybe some stand in the room for our luggage would be agreeable. The person with MS was able to climb all the steps to the house. The lower set of stairs was not shown on the site pictures. The Hot tub was nice, and well appreciated. One of us hurt a thumb in the front door storm door latch. We will recommend your house to other people but would mention it to be for a group of 6 max. Girls Weekend

The house was cute… comfortable beds and clean. Lovely property. The hot tub was a huge disappointment - the key wasn’t left for us. Why? The hot tub is part of the advertisement for this property, and I had specifically messaged the owners prior to our arrival that we were especially looking forward to the hot tub (that was the main reason we rented this place). Had to call the owner(s) numerous times, only to be sent on a cat and mouse search (both outside and inside). As it turned out, it was kept hidden in an item which was out of reach. We never would’ve found it on our own. We immediately felt that the owners preferred it to not be used (??) because of this. Many phone calls later, we used the hot tub, only to have the temperature drop 7-8 degrees within half an hour - had to get out because it was so cool (82 degrees). More calls made to the owner the next morning about it, only to be told that they control the temperature from their phone - we weren’t allowed to control it ourselves (to turn it up). That is ridiculous. We paid them for the use of their hot tub. We should have been able to control the temperature ourselves. They turned it up, but the same problem happened again, so we gave up. The hot tub was the main reason we rented this property. We ended up only being able to use it twice, and not for long each time. Very disappointed.

Wonderful family reunion

This was the perfect place for us to reunite with our three adult sons, our daughter in law and our six week old granddaughter for two nights. This property is very clean, the beds are super comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. It is in a great location with easy access to Picton as well as a beautiful view across the water.

Beautiful Property Close to Everything

This property is outstanding! Sitting by the fire with a clear view of the lake while my kids played horseshoes and ran around over an acre of landing happily just felt so idyllic. The house is clean, spacious and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
