Enjoyed everything about our stay! Very clean, cozy cabin. Loved all the details added to the cabin decor and being able to feed & watch the animals. Thank you!
Great place for quite rest and recreation. Love the detail of the house and the orderly manner of all that was there. Me and my wife were greatly please with the stay. Had fun and quite.
Just what we were looking for. Listening to the sound of the river and the birds was all you hear there. Very relaxing. Cabin is very nice and the owners communicated very well.
Fantastic cabin in the woods with tons of wildlife. Cabin is super clean and stocked with everything you need for a couples weekend. The hosts are very friendly and have excellent communication . Look forward to staying here again.
The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and there was a gift left for us on the counter! Everything about the cabin felt very welcoming. Watching the animals, soaking our feet in the river, and reading were some of our favorite activities. It's a very special place!
Thank you Bernice and Jason, you were perfect hosts and the cabin was exactly what we wanted for our vacation.
Beautiful cabin in the woods. Very welcoming and clean, makes you feel at home. Watching the animals feed out the window was a great way to unwind. Can’t wait to retire up north 😊
This cabin, location and everything about this place is perfect. If your looking for peace and quiet this is the place. Everything about this cabin was what one needs to recharge and relax. The abundance of wild life that visited daily was stunning. My wife and I can't say enough about this experience and the owners are caring and sharing too.
Had a great time watching the wildlife & relaxing. You can tell the owners love this place, very well cared for. Kitchen is well stocked with spices, olive oil, coffee filters, etc. to get you started.
Carley and Nathen cant stop raving about their stay at the cabin. It was everything they could have evwr wished for! They were totally blown away by the ambiance and wildlife, infact by everything! Thank You!
This property was simply breathtaking! This cottage was absolutely clean, organized, and the property was well worth the wait. The wildlife made the stay as well with the corn kernel feed that we were able to feed them every morning/night. Well worth the wait, we will definitely be back again to this exact property. Thanks again for everything!
We have vacationed in this area several times and never stayed somewhere quite like this. Beautiful peaceful setting on a well maintained lot and impeccably clean inside. The owners are excellent in their communication and have thought of all the little details that make a stay special. We loved watching the river and the animals which frequent the yard. If you are up for a gorgeous hike, the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area and Lake Michigan Recreation Area are about 30 minutes away and offer a spectacular 4 mile pristine undeveloped beach which is dog friendly. This cabin is a real gem and we hope to be back again. Thanks for such a relaxing visit!
What a place to stay. Talk about attention to detail this place has it all privacy, serenity animals popping in the yard. Me and my wife are so relaxed. We didn’t watch TV or listen to the radio. This is an excellent place to recharge and regroup. The landlords were excellent and the accommodations were everything you wanted them to be the cabin was very clean lots of extra blankets. And we had two six-point bucks in the velvet and the Front yard at one time. We will be booking again
It’s exactly the vacation me and the wife needed! No phone service or internet, the river was so peaceful. And if you love nature the forest did not disappoint you! From deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and birds galore! This place truly was a magical spot to disconnect from the world and just unwind! Hope to visit again!!
The property was beautiful. The litter critters we seen every morning and night was awesome. The river was clean even the the fish didn’t bite, they didn’t like us. Ha! The cabin was clean! The decor was on point. Very secluded and no service to unplug from the world.
Everything was exactly as described, clean and wonderfully detailed. All the amenities are top notch. My dog couldn’t get up the steep stairs to the loft and cried whenever I went up there so I ended up sleeping on the couch and I can attest that even that is comfortable! They leave “dog sheets” in case your pet wants to go on the furniture, which is what I ended up sleeping on, and they were soo nice. Great wildlife; if you love birds this is the place for you.
So much to say about this cabin in the woods! Private and beautiful, the stream/river in the backyard is awesome, so much wildlife and woodland animals to watch! The cabin is appointed with everything you need to relax and get away from it all! The little bridge is so cute and just adds something special. Jason was communicative and helpful, answering all our questions and making sure we had what we needed to make our vacation perfect. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!!!
This was the perfect place for my first wedding anniversary! The house was tidy, beds comfortable, and view amazing. The star of the show - or should I say stars - are all the critters. We spent hours in the River Room watching all of the animals come and go. Seriously, you could create a bingo board: Red winged black birds, Woodpeckers, Mourning doves, Blue jays, Cardinals, Wild Turkey, Robbins, Starlings, Grackles, Eastern Towhees, Chipmunks, Black squirrels, Gray squirrels, Pine squirrels, Cottontail Rabbits, Ground hogs, Raccoons, and White tailed deer! We were lucky enough to have both sunny days and rainy ones - both extremely serene experiences. We’d 100% recommend this stay to anyone and can definitely see ourselves rebooking in the future!
This place is nestled back in the woods on the Big Sauble River in Branch MI. Our stay was absolutely perfect for relaxing and connecting. The wildlife was superb for watching, no WiFi and weak phone signal was perfect for taking a break from the daily screen time and focusing on each other. Myself and my girlfriend did not want to leave and will definitely return for another trip. The communication and check in process with the owners Bernice and Jason was nothing less than 5 stars and the surrounding neighbors were splendid to chat with!! This place is highly recommended for focusing on each other end leaving the day to day behind, even if just for a couple days. Thank you Bernice and Jason for a incredible stay!!
This property is a piece of art. There are "up north" cabin decorations throughout. The view out the River Room window is spectacular. We had 8 deer at one time eating the corn we set out. It was very clean and just a pleasure to be at. The only "pro tips" I would offer is to be sure to download the area google map before you come, as the cell service is spotty. Also, if you plan to kayak, arrange to take a vehicle down stream at a pick up point as it is very difficult, if not impossible, to paddle upstream against a very swift current.
Just WOW! We are raising our 13 year old granddaughter, thus we are BUSY! We were looking to unplug with our pup Tenley after dropping our granddaughter off at camp. We have a family cottage nearby, but are always looking for new experiences. The couples retreat checked ALL THE BOXES.! The cabin is immaculate with so many unique special touches, from the personal greeting to the welcome gift. Jason and Bernice were excellent hosts and always responsive to my MANY questions. The views of nature are beyond compare! The stay was a birthday gift to my boyfriend of 25 years 🥰, and his response was he felt like he was watching a Disney movie. We cannot wait to rebook! If you are looking to relax off the grid in quiet tranquilly you have found your destination.. Thanks for sharing Camp Sauble with us.
We were completely taken back by the beauty of this place. The owners take all of the guesswork and trouble out of a nice quiet getaway. There was never a moment of "I wish we brought" or "Maybe we should have" on any aspect of this. The kayaks and going down the river was scenic and fun. The challenge was really making our way back. Watching the wildlife was something that if we waited patiently and watched out the window, would never seem to happen, but if we worked on a puzzle we would look up and see animals out and about. We would then turn the lights off and crawl to the window and watch. The night sky sitting out by the fire was absolutely stunning! This is bar none in our list of top five trips. We appreciated the opportunity to enjoy such an amazing place.
