The Cairngorm Mountains offer superb walking and challenging climbing, in addition to an opportunity to take in some lovely scenery while breathing in some fresh Scottish air. Golf is readily available here, with numerous good courses on which to shoot a round nearby. A blend of river, mountains, forest and Lochs combine in this region to ensure you can enjoy either an active holiday or an equally peaceful break. Shops and pub within walking distance.

Fabulous holiday!! Easy walking distance to Aviemore village centre for evening meals. Supermarket there with easy access. Right on the edge of the Cairngorm mountains, close to RSPB Lochgarten (note, the visitor centre there is closed once the Ospreys leave at end of August). Beautiful scenery, fabulous woodland and lochside walks.

We had a fantastic holiday.

We had a fantastic holiday. We used Glenrothay as a base to explore the area. We loved Aviemore, it was walking distance from the house with plenty of places to eat and drink. The house was spotless and really comfortable. We would definitely stay there again
