Had a wonderful Christmas break at Little Barn. Beautiful & relaxing setting and the accommodation is warm, clean & cosy with everything you could need. Liz & Phil really make you feel welcome and do everything they can to make your stay perfect.

Absolutely stunning Little Barn is so very well equipped with everything you could possibly need the

Absolutely stunning Little Barn is so very well equipped with everything you could possibly need the cleanliness is perfect many added extras making it so relaxing .We were using it at first as base to be close to relatives ,but whilst we had to go home I’d have been more than happy to stay longer so relaxing host is so welcoming and works hard to maintain a great standard.We’d definitely stay again.

Really lovely cottage.

Really lovely cottage. Hosts Liz and Phil lovely, very friendly, gave us a very warm welcome. Only one niggle, and that is since they offer the cottage as dog friendly we think the cottage garden should be fenced. Dogs had to be kept on lead at all times, as there was no area on the farm to safely allow your dog freedom for comfort breaks or to play. But otherwise excellent. Would go again if garden fenced.

We have had a fantastic two nights stay at Little barn.

We have had a fantastic two nights stay at Little barn. Liz is so friendly and welcoming, the perfect hostess. She met us at the gate and showed us where everything was. Phil also came to say hello and check if we had everything, which we certainly did. Liz also sent me a menu for the local golf club restaurant. We didnt leave the property as we just needed to relax and have a break from life for a few days. The view from the cottage is beautiful, we also had fantastic weather. We were visited by the cockerel and Rosie the dog, both very friendly and inquisitive. The cottage is beautiful, with everything we needed and a fabulous welcome basket and milk of our choice, plus fresh eggs laid that morning. We both had the best nights sleep in a long time. We will definitely be returning to Little Barn and highly recommend.

Wonderful getaway

The property is on a farm and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners Liz and Phil are very attentive hosts. Would highly recommend the property.

Do not be put off by the title Little Barn, as it was more than adequate for us and our large boiste

Do not be put off by the title Little Barn, as it was more than adequate for us and our large boisterous GSD puppy. Liz and Phil are the most hardworking genuine couple , not intrusive but always available if we needed them.The accomodation was clean restful and comfortable throughout , and the views from the cottage were wonderful .Little touches like decorations for Xmas , lovely hamper of goodies and potted plants were very much appreciated . You are only a few miles from the pretty towns of Matlock , Matlock Bath and Bakewell , and there are many pubs and restaurants especially takeaways if you do not wish to cook. We loved our time there, and will return someday .We wish Liz and Phil and their family every success for the future .
