Pouso da Serra Family Suite Rural Lodging

The suite »» Lavaze ««, located on the ground floor of the "Casa Grande", consists of double bedroom and bathroom with whirlpool. Small pets are welcome.

It has a small shared basic kitchen, installed in another house, called "Casa Antiga". The meals can be tasted in another space, called "Sala da Lenha", with capacity for up to 8 people.

In the external area, next to these houses, there is another kitchen with barbecue and a panoramic terrace with tables and chairs, to be used whenever the weather permits.

The Casa Grande is a two-story, secular house with yellow granite walls and the pine, oak and brown wood and flooring of this region.

Each floor has only two suites, all with independent entrance and so designated:
Suite Rosemary and the suite Lavender, in the first ground floor.
The Rosemary suite and the Jasmine suite, upstairs.

The interiors of the suites at Pouso da Serra are rustic and spartan, portraying the same habits of the former inhabitants of this mountain village, mostly farmers and herdsmen. They lived in shelters scattered on the mountain, built of thatched stone.
We kept the walls in stone and wood and replaced only the thatched roof.

We serve the bathrooms with whirlpool bath and in the corner of the suites' rooms, a wood stove for the colder days and a TV with satellite channels.
However, the family climate is maintained, a concept of the "people of the hills, inherited from our ancestors" seminomades ".

The rural houses of Pouso da Serra, inserted inside the village and surrounded by a magnificent natural scenery, offer fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, providing a quiet and relaxing stay.
It is in this bucolic setting that the three secular houses that make up the "Pouso da Serra", the "Casa Grande", "Casa do Meio" and "Casa Antiga" are located together, together with a common courtyard, Eira Velha .

A vast wooded area with chestnut trees, oaks and an extensive ramada of kiwis, with tables and chairs, complete this rural space.
