This charming cottage was just remodeled and refurnished! The sprawling deck offers the very best views of crystal clear Lake Metonga, a large (2,083 acre) spring fed lake on the edge of Nicolet National Forest. Nestled on a private road, the beach front property has 100 feet of lake frontage, with fantastic fishing, boating, and swimming (level sand bottom - perfect for all ages)
The cottage sleeps 8 comfortably, with 2 spacious bedrooms on the 1st floor, a master bedroom with queen bed on the 2nd floor with sweeping lake views and a fourth bedroom with double bed on the 2nd floor. Beautifully remodeled full bathroom on first floor and a half bath on the second floor. After extensive renovations, guests will enjoy an open concept kitchen/living room area with a grand, stone, wood burning fireplace. The fresh new kitchen area has modern maple cabinets with a huge granite topped island for great family meals. The spacious cottage has new wood flooring throughout and amazing views of the lake.
Outdoors, a brand new, TREX deck with grand lake views and plenty of space to spread out on lounge chairs or enjoy sunset dinners. The lakeside firepit is the perfect place to gather at the end of the day for campfires and incredible stargazing. Watersports include an LL Bean birchwood themed canoe to paddle off the sandy beach and watch the loons and bald eagles as well as paddle boats for relaxing lake tours during the months of May through September.

Beautiful cabin!

We loved our stay at this cabin and already booked for next year! Lovely view of the lake, excellent water access with great dock and sandbar right in front of the dock. Lake Metonga is an incredible clean lake and perfect for boating and water sports. Thank you for making our week so memorable!

Nice spot on a clear lake

Clean cottage and everything was as presented in the description and pics. We enjoyed seeing many birds—mallards, mergansers, loons, herons and eagles right from the dock. Use of the kayaks and canoe on the property was super convenient. It was a very nice stay.

We enjoyed the easy access to the lake and the views were amazing! The recommendations that we would make are an additional step from the inside to the deck, the amenities that there is air conditioning was misleading and the shower floor was very slippery!

Relaxing

This is the second time we stayed here. the kids love the freedom they get in the water because of how shallow it is for quite a distance out. The house is very clean and comfortable and well equipped.

Peaceful retreat on the lake!

A clean and updated home with a gorgeous view of the beautifullyl clean lake. Loved having coffee on the deck every morning listening to loons. Even watched an eagle land on the dock! Great lake for skiing, tubing and perch fishing.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It’s easily accommodated our family and our friends family. Our child had fun playing in the water and using the kayaks. It was very clean and had all the essentials. The owners happens to be up and next door so they checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be looking at coming back.

The home was great to watch tip-ups right from the house. The basement is perfect for extra supplies (allllll the fishing stuff) and things that need to hang and dry (5 pairs of snow pants/ coats/ hats/ gloves etc.) Thank you again for the stay!

Nice Stay!

We had an excellent time at this cottage. Lake was clean with sandy bottom and shallow enough for kids (littles 2 & 5) to swim and play. Zebra mussels were plentiful so water shoes are a good idea as shells can cut feet. Cottage was spacious and beds were comfortable. A few more lamps would be nice for nighttime ambiance lighting. We loved sitting on the deck and the fire pit is in a great location. We rented a pontoon which was great for cruising the lake. Other lake residents like to park pontoons not far from cottage shore to enjoy the sand bar. The close proximity was a bit of a surprise but not an issue - Mostly on the weekend days. All around a really nice stay!

Stunning lake and Home

This is a beautiful property. The lake is amazing. We took our 1.5 and 3.5 year old girls here and they loved it. Very sandy bottom with very few rocks. You can walk out 100 yards and only be knee deep, which was great for the little kids. The lake is very clear and very clean. We caught some very nice perch and had fun fishing. The Cabin is well stocked up with all the essentials. There are four bedrooms in the cabin and all have nice size to them. The only negative we had was the beds were not super comfortable, but the rest of the property and the lake made up for that. The owners are wonderful people whom will go out of their way to make your stay amazing as possible. We would recommend this lake and home to anyone.

Beautiful Getaway

Everything was absolutely what we expected from the listing on VRBO. Owners were more than helpful with any question we had. It was extremely warm, into the 90's, if the place had better air conditioning it would have been the perfect place.

fishing get away

It was a nice house right on the lake. Clean and was plenty of room with 6 adults. only thing i would say is there was only a quarter role of paper towel and 2 toilet paper rolls. We did bring our own so not a big deal and really im not sure what the protocal for that stuff is anyway! would reccomend!

Guys fishing trip.

The cabin was as described on the website. Very clean and plenty of room to move around with the 6 of us. It would have been nice to have WiFi as we had just a few local tv channels and cell phones didn’t work. Also be aware there was a large stairway getting up into the cabin so if you have trouble doing stairs it might be problematic. We had two fishing boats and the lack of water at the dock made it difficult to come in and out of dock area. As a positive - if we were there with young children in summer the shallow water (with a sandy bottom) would have been excellent to play in. Overall this was a nice clean cabin and we enjoyed our stay

Great time away

Cottage is beautiful, roomy and clean. Curtains for the windows, especially in the bedrooms, would have made for a more comfortable experience, especially at night. Otherwise perfect lakefront location.
