DaddyRoy’s is located on the north entrance of Independence, a few minutes away from the Independence Public High School and the beautifully restored St. Peter & Paul Church.

With an overall vintage vibe as a common theme in our décor, you’ll find something charming in every room. Our favorite room is the bright and cheery breezeway, with orange doors and ’70s floral print. In the summer it serves as an informal guest sitting room and opens to both front and back patio areas. The breezeway is a common area and is also used by "The Nest at Daddy Roy's". All to yourself you will have the spacious living room and dining room which are combined as one great room. This area has several windows and is a light-drenched space perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility at home; to read, watch movies, or watch the world go by. The new state of the art flat-screen TV comes with access to Amazon Prime and Apple TV (including multiple movies).
The dining table expands to seat six. The kitchen includes a banquette seating area for five framed by a large picture window.
A washer and dryer are on the main floor. Wireless internet is available throughout the house.

During the summer months, the entrance area hosts a front outdoor patio table and four cushioned chairs set under an awning for perfect shade when dining or entertaining guests in warm weather. The backyard has a very large deck, hammock, rockers, patio furniture. Upon request, these are made available to longer-term renters (renting for 2 weeks +).

Our Rooms
We have two lovely guest rooms available; a double bed (The Tandem room), another double bed (The London room). There is an office right off the London room which has a day bed for 1 guest. The bedrooms and the office are on the main floor.

The bathroom has been renovated in 2022 with a large walk in shower.

Commitment to the Environment
We hope you’ll appreciate our quest for comfort combined with ecologically-minded products and community minded practices.
We have an entire closet off the kitchen dedicated to recycling with clearly labeled containers. We feature many reused “upcycled” items as our furniture; from the coffee tables in the living room made out of old suitcases, to the 1940’s lard cans from the Olde Creamery in Independence which we’ve turned into end tables in the breezeway.
Other environmental practices include:
• A three night stay is required for all guests. This is particularly important at DaddyRoys's B&V since we wash all our linens between guests.
• Energy efficient light bulbs
• Ceiling fans in the living room, and bedrooms, with additional floor fans available. Enjoy the great Burnside breeze and reduce the need for air conditioning in the summer months
• A good old-fashioned clothesline is at your disposal, located in the backyard just off the laundry room (if you wish to skip the dryer).
• No Smoking. There is a strict no-smoking policy within the B&V.
