Cedar Oaks Lakeside Resort - Previously Ohana/Riviera Resort - Under New Ownership

This air conditioned cottage is the perfect space for your family getaway. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with flat screen TV, an additional "den" with flat screen TV, and a full kitchen.

The best part of this cottage is the access to the gorgeous property and amenities that surround it. You will have access to our 200' dock to fish off of. Please bring your own anchors / tie downs for your boats. We have over 300' of lakefront to swim and play in, a huge 40'x40' sandbox full of toys for the kids, multiple gas BBQ grills for you to use and many picnic tables for outdoor eating and relaxing. We also have two fire pits to use.

This cottage comes with one set of fresh sheets, blankets and pillows and towels. If you will need more than one set for your stay please bring additional ones as we do not do exchanges or have a washer/dryer available for guest use. There are basic dishes, glasses and silverware and pots/pans for your use, but if you plan on doing a lot of cooking I suggest bringing specific cookware that you want. We do supply you with toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, and paper towel, but do not refill once it has been used.

If golf is your game there are many great golf courses nearby:
1. The quest is a great track that is close and a great value.
2. We are located 30 min away from Forest Dunes, the number two public course in Michigan (Second to Arcadia). Forest Dunes also just opened the highly anticipated reversible course.
3. You also have The Fox, Redwood Golf Course, The Nightmare, The Dream and Ye Olde Country Club

Main crossroads are M55 (W. West Branch Rd) and East Houghton Lake Dr (also known as 100).

Beautiful views of the lake

Great views and lots of beds. Convenient location for great golf, water activities or hanging out in the yard/waterfront. Only weakness’s were no WiFi (don’t think they listed it) in any of our rooms, bedroom layout is very choppy and parking lot is packed on Friday and Saturday night because of adjoining restaurant. I thought the view, size and price made up for any minor things. Quiet place too, even during dinner hours.

Nice location, touchy management

Was a beautiful location for a weekend with friends and family. House was well kept for the most part, not sure if bed linens were fresh. Could only select up to 5 guests on website, however the house sleeps 12. Therefore, we had 12 guests staying and management was very touchy and poorly communicated with our group. We enjoyed our stay and were able to make the most out of our weekend, however felt the management was very poor.

I never leave responses to reviews, but because reviews are such an important part of our business I feel that this one needs to be explained with more context. The max capacity of our house is 12, and this group brought 16 people, rather than the 12 stated in her review. We are a quiet, family resort and they were not only disrespectful of our property, but of other guests. We had issues with them being naked on the property and on their boat in front of the property, and actually had other families with young kids who were so offended by their inappropriate behavior that they refused to stay and left. They trashed our grounds and left garbage everywhere. We had to keep their damage deposit because of damages to the house they stayed in. It was bad enough that In hindsight, we probably should have asked them to leave our resort, which we have never had to do before.

Beautiful location - as described.

Enjoyed our week. Restaurant on site has great food. Would recommend a sign or arrow for the restaurant down by the water. Had numerous boaters questioning the restaurant location and/or climbing our stairs looking for the restaurant. We had 11 people and had lots of room in our unit. Would book there again.

Great location overlooking the lake. Beautiful sunsets.

Close to golf courses, restraunts, and ATV trails. It was nice to be able to walk out of the cottage and be right at the lake. The grounds were well kept. The cottage had the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. We would go back again.
