The airport is very modern and includes a wide array of shops, restaurants, and lounges. However, what really makes St. Maarten Airport stand out is not the terminal itself, but its runway. Thanks to limited land availability, the runway begins extremely close to Maho Beach. As a result, approaching aircraft fly very low over the beach. Watching the aircraft land at Maho Beach has become a bit of a tourist attraction, although be warned that the jet blast is dangerous. Grand Case International Airport is open and giving us access to the rest of the Caribbean, the US and Europe with flights via Pointe-à-Pitre with Air Antilles Express and Air Caraibes.
PJIAE – Princess Juliana Airport is open with flights from Delta Airlines, American Airlines, Seaborne, Pawa Dominicana and Winair.
