Beautifuly decorated cottage with eveything you need for an enjoyable stay near all the attractions in Erie. Very peaceful and scenic location with a beautiful view of the lake. Beautiful oak trees, abudant acorns.
Revised Version:This was a great fishing getaway for my brother and me! The residence was clean, comfortable, and had a nice rustic charm. The setting was peaceful and relaxing—perfect for unwinding after a day on the water. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home.Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we look forward to returning!Warm regards,
The rustic decor enhances your stay at this beautiful cabin on Lake Erie. Amazing veiws and sunsets! Very convenient to downtown Erie and Erie Bluffs State Park.
In town for annual steelhead trip and wanted to stay in a more comfortable atmosphere vs uncle johns or the quality inn. This place hit the spot! Quiet and so close to the streams and restaurants.
This place was ideal for our getaway. We wanted a special place to see the solar eclipse, and it did not disappoint! The backyard was so amazing, between the view of the lake, the cozy fire pit, and occasionally seeing the eagle flying above, it truly was just perfect!
The only recommendation that we have other than people should stay here if they want a great relaxing time would be letting people know you will driving on the lawn past the eagle to park. We must have had the neighbors laughing at how many times we drove by.
Location was fabulous, loved being directly on the lake.
It was very comfortable and a seamless registration process. Only suggestion would be to update some of the kitchen supplies, the appliances are terrific but could use newer pots, pans, bowls etc
10 of us rented this cabin and another nearby cabin and we had a wonderful time! (5 people in each) Beautiful view, nice fire pit area, and lots of outdoor seating. Close to nearby convenience shop and firewood for sale down the road. Would definitely rent again!
This quaint, fully-equipped cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views of the lake. While there is no lake access from cabin, they do provide a really nice outdoor set up to include a firepit where you can relax and enjoy the sunsets over the lake. Just a short trip to get to Erie Bluffs State Park which is great for kayaking, fishing, and easy hiking. This location is also close to shopping, and an easy drive to Presque Isle.
On top of the cabin being great and having everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the owners were super responsive to any questions we had via text. We will definitely return to this rental in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Not for families or girls trip
Very much a man’s cabin. Back yard laden with acorns that fell on our heads. Rowdy neighbors to the east. No beach access. Trail to beach for athletes only. Definitely not family friendly. Ok to unwind with no expectations. That was not really our goal. House was sticked nicely but needs fams or central air. Not bad. Just not for everyone.

Dear Laura,
We are so sorry you didnt enjoy your time at the cottage. Unfortunately we do have many large trees in our back yard and its virtually impossible to keep the acorns from falling from the trees. We apologize for the neighbors, we usually do not have any issues with them as they are both senior citizens. We do not advertise our property as having beach access, but we do direct folks to the park at the end of the street if they'd like to access the shoreline. We are not affiliated with the park so we have no control over how the path is maintained. We do have 2 window AC units in both bedrooms and for the size of the cottage should have been sufficient. I do apologize again for your disappointing stay. We try very hard to please all of our guests. We welcome any and all feed back from our guests. If you have any more suggestions on how we can make the cottage better please feel free to give us a call .
Sincerely
Monica and Matt Hepler
The house was very cute and well set up. The kitchen has anything you would need to cook a meal, and more! The beds were comfortable and clean. The view is beautiful, we saw bald eagles up close and boats in the distance. My kids enjoyed playing in the yard, and chasing the fire flies in the evening. Quiet setting, with close neighbors, but we didn’t see or hear them during our stay. The washer and dryer were convenient. The owner was quick to respond, when I had a question upon arrival.
The only things I can think of to improve our stay, would be to have some fire wood provided, for the outside fire pit (we were able to purchase some along the road for $10, not far from the house), and also a shower with a hand attachment, for cleaning off sand after visiting Presque Isle.
The cabin has such a beautiful back yard! Our family had the best time hanging out around the fire pit and making s’mores while watching the sunset on the lake!
The cozy cabin was perfect for our stay and the Erie beaches and fishing nearby gave us plenty to do! The Lakeside restaurant was absolutely delicious and is only about 5 min from the cabin! Overall wonderful experience and we would come back!
House was as described. View was beautiful and we watched many eagles right from the porch. Would be nicer with access to the water but we noticed there were not many of any properties with that amenity. Very shady out back for the warm days the front driveway gets some sun for the windier days.

Why they chose this property
This property was very special to us as it is very near to our other cottage Bald Eagle Bluff, located just 2 doors from each other , we felt we could offer a unique experience to multiple families wanting to vacation together. While Eagle View Cottage is slightly smaller than the Bluff it has a warm cozy cabin feel . The view is second to none! The sight of a bald eagle swooping down into the lake for a fish is truly an amazing experience.
What makes this property unique
We can guarantee that you will enjoy the luxurious accommodations at Eagle View Cottage. Our loft area complete with Amish made log railing and banister. The kitchen is beautifully crafted, and the deck over looking the lake is absolutely breathtaking. Please come and relax , enjoy nature at its finest!
