About this property

Bryn Bach: Pet-friendly cottage on the Isle of Anglesey

Summary:

Bright and stylish one-bedroom rural hideaway with wood-burner and a Swedish Hikki hot tub.

The Space:

Check In: 4pm | Check Out: 10am

Bryn Bach Overview:

Accommodation: Sleeps two across one bedroom

Bedroom: A king-size bed | Bathroom: One bathroom

Pets: Bryn Bach accepts one pet

Infant Info: This property is not suitable for infants/children

Access/Parking: There is parking for one car outside the property

Wood-Fired Hikki Hot Tub: There are two cosy robes available for guests to use.

Log Burner : You will receive a complimentary kindling pack on arrival.

Bryn Bach is tucked away on a quiet private lane in the village of Llanfaelog, this one-bedroom annexe sits in a genuinely peaceful spot with wide open views. Floor-to-ceiling French doors and windows flood the space with natural light and make the most of the countryside setting.

Inside, the open-plan living space is comfortable and cosy. There's a wood-burner for cooler evenings, a flat-screen TV, and a fully equipped kitchen for everything from a proper breakfast to a picnic packed for the day ahead. The king-size bedroom is quiet, and the bathroom has a shower over bath.

The real draw here is the location. Step outside and you're already on the doorstep of some brilliant walking, the Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr is around 15 minutes on foot through the fields, with the beach just beyond. The lake is equally accessible, straight from the door. It's worth wearing sturdy footwear. RAF Valley is just a couple of miles away, and if you've never watched a fighter jet take off at close range, it's quite something, there's even a viewing spot just beyond Rhosneigr worth seeking out.

The hot tub and patio area are for quieter evenings after a long day out rather than a manicured spa experience. This is a rural hideaway, and it feels like one.

Bryn Bach is good value, honestly priced, and in a location that consistently surprises guests. If wide skies, peaceful lanes and easy access to the coast is what you're after, it delivers.

One car parking directly in front of the property.

The Neighborhood:

Llanfaelog (said: hlan-Vay-log) is a quiet Anglesey village, just a few minutes inland from the bustling seaside resort of Rhosneigr.

It's a peaceful base with easy access to some of Anglesey's best natural and coastal spots. Coed Cwr y Pwll, a National Forest right nearby, has woodland trails, wildflower meadows and a pond to explore. A short hop away, Rhosneigr's Traeth Crigyll beach is made for water sports, with Funsport running kitesurfing and paddleboarding lessons, followed, ideally, by a seaside ice cream.

By car, you can reach Trearddur Bay's Trefignath Burial Chambers, Porth Diana Nature Reserve, or pick up the Wales Coast Path for a proper walk. Whether you're after adventure or a slower pace, Llanfaelog makes a solid base for either.

Getting Around:

The property includes private parking and is close to Ty Croes station (about 2 minutes by car). While there are limited buses, driving is the easiest way to get around Anglesey from here.

Other Things to Note:

An AHL Damage Waiver is included as standard with every booking. It’s there to protect the property and give you complete peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to £250, so that if something happens, it doesn’t cast a shadow over your stay.

A most enjoyable return

Coming back for the second time was definitely the right decision. Just as comfortable, clean and cosy as the first time. Everything you need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable situated in a quiet (excluding the planes obviously) spot but within easy walking distance of the beach, Oyster Catcher and Rhosneiger. I’m sure we’ll be coming back again and would recommend this without hesitation.

A great weekend away

We had a great time staying at the property. It was clean and very charming. The welcome card and pack was very much appreciated. We had a great time on the tiky tab in the garden. If you use it give yourself at least 2 hours for.the fire to warm the water but when done , bathing under the stars was something different. Another property on the short list for us to come back to.

May Stay at Bryn Bach

Loved my stay at Bryn Bach. It was in a peaceful setting looking out over fields with bird song (and jets) and large floor to ceiling windows letting in lots of light. Very clean and modern with a "hygge" feel to it. Spacious and well thought out, it had everything needed for a cosy stay on the Isle of Anglesey. A great base to explore from. Which I did! Rhosneigr beach is just a short walk away and also worth an amble around Lake Maelog which is just minutes away from the door. I didn't use the hot tub so I can't comment on that, but the place is lovely and I would definately stay here again. Fabulous "Welcome Pack" from Anglesey Lettings as always!

A pieceful dog friendly break away

The positives, in a very quiet location if that’s what you’re looking for. A reasonably well equipped kitchen for your most basic needs. The welcome pack was appreciated containing milk, eggs apple juice teabags and biscuits. We didn’t use the hot tub so can’t comment on that. The king size bed was fairly comfortable, the come the negatives, the pillows were terrible, disintegrating and offering no support. The large leather sofa was also in a similar dilapidated state and was again well past its best! Bathroom, I noticed by the 3rd day of our stay the water was struggling to drain after a shower, it continued to drain less and less as the week went on,so it was left soapy and slimy after we’d showered each time. I did email to report this issue. Generally the whole accom needs a deep clean and decorating to bring it back up to a reasonable standard. Even the blind on the door was broken and damaged on the bottom half. Given some attention this could be 5* accom but at the moment I would only be scoring it a 3 at best. It’s about 15 mins walk across the field to the Oyster catcher, and then another 6 or 7 mins into Rhosneiger.

Our Easter Break with Storm David

We arrived to a lovely property but no kindling & no firelighters so no way of making a fire but customer services told us where to get some from, also the log burner was not cleaned out, the fence post was broken and swaying in the wind and the hot tub did not look very clean so we did not use it and it also felt unsafe in the garden with the broken fence which broke even more with storm david. The bed was very comfy, the bedroom needs a small wardrobe, the cooker hood has one light bulb broken and the knobs were very loose and unsecure for the hob we did not use the dishwasher as that was unsafe as its not fixed to the kitchen cupboard. the property needs a lot of TLC for you to charge the price you do.

Great little place to stay . Wonderful location .The only things I would say is the hot tub needs a cover to stop flies in stagnant water and the track to the property is quite rough .

Lovely peaceful hideaway.

Really lovely break at Bryn Bach. Cosy accommodation, beautifully clean with everything we needed for a short break. Fabulous views over the fields and three horses just outside to keep us company. Great walks with the dog straight from the accommodation down to the beach and the sand dunes he loved it. We didn’t manage to use the wood fired hot tub as it took too long to fill and heat up but that was ok. Would definitely come again and recommend to all.

This is a good property if you want a rural location, and we did, and also really good for several local beaches and easy access to the main dual carriageway. There is a local shop and the Oyster Catcher nearby. The only reason I haven't given the "overall" rating a 5 is a) I can’t do 4.8 and b) because the kitchen equipment could be improved with a hob compatible larger casserole, a frying pan rather than small skillets, and some serving spoons. But we would definitely return.

Cottage for 2

Had an excellent few days away at Bryn Bach. Superb cottage, excellent decor with such attention to detail, facilities including hot tub were great and location wise was just perfect for a romantic break away. Communication with the letting agent was fast and reliable and could not have wanted anything more for our first stay on Anglesey. Would love to stay again soon

Lovely week at Bryn Bach

This was our first stay at Bryn Bach but I'm sure it won't be our last. It's a great little holiday home with everything you need. The welcome pack treats were a lovely surprise and especially the welcome pack for our dog! The location is lovely and rural with great walks from the door, and only a 15 minutes walk to the Oyster Catcher. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
