The location was excellent, and the house was clean and conveniently situated close to the town centre and within easy reach of the wineries. While the accommodation was basic, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Unfortunately, there was a persistent musty or mouldy smell in the lounge/dining area, and there was also an unpleasant odour coming from the toilet room, which appeared to be coming from the drain.

Great location. Just a 2 minutes drive to town centre. Place is basic but very functional. It was a bit cold at night. Make sure you bring your own blanket in winter. Pillow smells old. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

The house was freezing cold. The split system AC was not effective at all. Had it set to 30 heat and barely too the edge off the cold. Furnishing was extremely budget. I have stayed in far better in Mudgee and recommend looking around.

Although the location was convenient, the house itself is in need of a lot of work. The most disturbed detail was the uneven flooring. Once inside, you constantly felt like you were off balance due to the uneven floorboards. The surface areas were clean but the blinds and window sills were pretty filthy. Opened packet of rolled oats and a small hotel butter for a 4 night stay for 2 people left a lot to be desired. 1/4 full bottles of handwash/moisturiser definitely not a good look. Broken washing machine and limited crockery/cutlery for a 2 bedroom house. Pretty tacky all round - wouldn’t recommend this one

Thanks for your review however we find some of your comments to be unreasonable or untrue. This is an older heritage house. There is a slight slope in the floor just inside the front door which is part of the original house. To imply that the whole floor is uneven is misleading. Nowhere in our listing do we state we provide breakfast so unsure what you are referring to here. Apologies for the washing machine not working, this occurred just prior to your stay and a replacement is being arranged. The kitchen is stocked with enough equipment to cater for up to 4 guests and there are plenty of additional items such as soap, dishwashing tablets and other supplies under the sink. We are often complemented on the amenities of the house, how clean it is and our reasonable rates.
