Elaine and I live in Summerville, SC. Elaine is from Dallas, Tx. and graduated from Dallas Baptist University. I grew up in Hartsville, SC, which is just down the road from Columbia and graduated from the University of South Carolina.

Why owner/property manager chose Columbia
We originally purchased this property in 2007 as a place for our kids to live while attending the University of South Carolina. Now that they've graduated our intentions were to sell it but, instead we fell in love with our condo and the location. We can walk to the USC football games and events at the State Fairgrounds. Downtown Columbia and the "Vista area" are a very short drive (2 miles). And recently a neat little brewery (River Rat Brewery) opened up 2 blocks from the condo and quickly became a favorite for us. It has great beer & food, outdoor seating, lot's of TVs, corn-hole games and is kid and pet-friendly (fenced playground).
What makes this condo unique
The Gates at Williams-Brice Stadium was designed to be a "TailGate Condo Complex" where fans could enjoy all the excitement of "GameDay Tailgating" with the added benefit of walking to the stadium and not having to deal with the horrific traffic on GameDay. Amenities include a pool with 2 large LED TVs, Jacuzzi, cabana area with 4 stainless steel gas grills, a designated tailgate area with 2 more SS grills, a large social room with TV and kitchenette.We chose our 4th floor unit because it overlooks the pool & cabana area and is on the top floor so no dealing with noisy residents above. We also love the on-site security officer and video surveillance throughout the complex as well as a gated parking garage.
