Fantastic location within walking distance to the main street for all your shopping and cafe needs! Accommodation was great for our family, it was cosy and comfortable.
We loved staying at this property for a mother-and-daughter catch-up.
It was very cozy and homely. The fire was set and ready to light, which was a lovely touch in the cold weather.
I would definitely recommend this property for family groups.
We had a fantastic stay at this well-appointed property in Daylesford. The location was ideal—close to town, making it easy to walk to cafes and shops. The view over the town was beautiful, especially at sunrise. The home itself was thoughtfully furnished, with comfy beds that made for a restful stay. Our dog loved the large, secure, and interesting backyard, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We would absolutely love to stay again!
well equiped, warm, welcoming with great location close to centre of town
firewood well stocked
heating was on when we arrived
great communication with owner
would highly recommend this property
The property was situated in a great location, close to the town. It had all the amenities and Andy was very prompt in replying to our queries. Although we noticed the floors were very dusty and only the main areas were vacuumed . All in all we had a great time.
For my 60th Birthday, all I wanted was my 3 adult children and partners to re connect and have quality family time. YOUR HOME WAS PERFECT! WE cooked together, played twister, boardgames, laughed and chatted.. cold outside but open fire added exactly what I wanted ... Will definitely be back
Thank you Andy,
We had an amazing time. We wanted a place close to town with an open fire and easy access. Your place had all of that and was warm and cosy from the minute we arrived. The view of the town was a joy to start and finish the day with. I hope we have an opportunity to return sometime.

We’ve just had the best week in Daylesford staying at Jesmondene. What a great location, easy walk to markets, shops, restaurants, playground, and lake.
Andy touched base almost immediately to check we were ok and to let us know of extra wood for the fire. Although the house was very warm with the ducted heated system, even on the frosty mornings!!!!
Our family ranging from 3 to 69 years old plus a dog were all well catered for and had a relaxing stay.
Thank you, we only have great things to say, can’t wait to visit again.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Impolite landlord
first night used the barbecute stove but cooked half way no more gas. We used more half an hour try to keep in touch the landlord . Finally the landlord reply said have not got the gas you can use the kitchen , it is not a big deal and no need to call him so many time. The other day the landlords came and still want to argue about it. Spoil the trip
Best things about the property were
a) its ease of access to town centre even on foot (5 mins walk from restaurants and cafes) and
b) views from the front deck overlooking the whole town
c) it had two living rooms. One of living room setting was perfect for the adults (adjoining the kitchen and front deck with views) and other one was perfect for the kids with a bedroom, dining, TV room to themselves.
We were two families doing a weekend outing together and enjoyed everything.
Minor thing about the cleanliness- It was good overall but bed side tables were dusty.
One of the best views in Daylesford coupled with a very appealing and comfortable house to stay in. A couple of minutes walk to the main street in town. Excellent.
Place was very nice! Good for families. Close to city centre. Communication from property manager Andy was very good. He answered questions very quickly.
Great, generous, well equipped house, two living areas which makes it great for two couples or families. Lovely outside alfresco area out the back which elevates to a wonderful grassed area , my dogs thought they had their own park! Gorgeous view up to wombat hill/ Daylesford village. Fully secure so felt confident leaving dogs if we had to.lovely landscaped garden well kept , with culinary herbs.
Spacious rooms, Comfy beds, amazing spa bath in master ensuite, everything worked! Heating, cooling and even wood for a fire if we desired. Beautiful decor, floorboards, Large front deck with lounge which adds another relaxing space. One of the best places we have stayed🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟owner contactable, friendly and helpful.
Can’t wait to return💖
Great place for 3 couples, excellent location and good amenities can't fault and we will be back.

Happy stay at Jesmondene
Our few days at Jesmondene were very happy ones with old friends for our annual get-together. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space and very good facilities in a convenient location. Lovely hot showers! Would be happy to stay again and recommend to others.
Two couples, two children and one dog stayed here and found this home to be perfect. Comfortable, clean and very spacious, it has plenty of charm but with modern luxuries. Gorgeous views across the township to wombat hill, great secure garden for the dog and all in all a great spot. Thanks for having us, we hope to come back again!

We are a family now living in Melbourne. We met and married lin Daylesford. We renovated the original 1950 cottage.
Why they chose this property
We now use the home as our holiday house but love to rent it our for others to enjoy as it is a great space and great town with lots to offer. We love the front deck view for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner and drinks. the front deck lounge is great for drinks and reading. The back deck and BBQ area sits 8+ on a large undercover deck surrounded by herb and rose garden. Beyond that a large lawn for games like cricket/ croquet/bocce. The yard is fully fenced and dog proof. It is walking distance to shops/cafes/restaurants/ pubs/supermarkets/ cafes/main st shops/vintage and op shops. Grass tennis courts and local 50 m swimming pool 1 block away. A short walk to then around Daylesford lake and other bush walks. We love to trail ride at boomerang holiday ranch, minigolf, swim at the pool or creeks and water holes or lake in summer and have BBQs and backyard games. In winter we love to read in front of the fireplace, play board games, watch movies, have dinner parties, and enjoy the jacuzzi in the ensuite. The cafes/ restaurants and markets are great all year round.
