About this property
Fraser View Unit 1 on Fraser Island
Fraser View
Fraser View is located in Second Valley of Happy Valley on the Eastern side of Fraser Island and is only150 metres to the beach. It is the perfect central location to access all of the attractions and features of beautiful World Heritage Listed Fraser Island.
Fraser View comprises only two units, was renovated in 2011 and has a modern open style.
Fraser View Unit 1 is fully self contained.
Unit 1 has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom, the dormitory, has a queen bed and two sets of single offset bunk beds so this room offers beds for six people. There is also at least one trundle bed in addition. The bunks are designed so the head of the person on the lower bunk is not below the upper bunk.
On the ocean side there is a covered verandah with dining table and chairs. There is also a large covered area on the western side with the gas barbeque and a dining table for those times when the south easterly is blowing.
Fraser View conisists of two units and is an ideal property for two families. The separate units allow privacy for each family whilst allowing the two families to share meals together on either the verandah on the ocean side or the covered area adjoining the barbecue.
Being Fraser Island power is supplied by a solar system that charges batteries providing 24 hour power through an inverter. This does limit what appliances can be operated. The power system will run chargers for laptops, cameras and the like but please do not bring hair dryers.
Linen is not supplied and most guests choose to bring their own linen. We do require that linen must be used. We define linen as two sheets and pillow cases and does not include sleeping bags. Linen can be hired by prior arrangement through the Fraser Island Retreat. Hired linen is collected with the house keys. Failure to use linen causes us to incur substantial additional costs which will be backcharged to the tenant. We also reserve the right to cancel a booking that does not use linen. There are pillows and blankets supplied.
Fraser View is in the small community of Happy Valley which has limited resources. Guests are required to leave the house clean. To assist this, cleaning materials are supplied. Failure to leave the house clean will result in an additional charge to the responsible guest.
The calendar is kept up to date as best we can. When an enquiry for a booking is sent we aim to respond quickly and once the booking is confirmed by payment of the deposit the dates requested are locked into the calendar. We require a deposit within 7 days to confirm the booking. The normal deposit is 50%. Bookings through Homeaway meet this requirement. Additional time to pay can be made by prior arrangement with the owners. Balance is payable 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Bookings through HomeAway are subject to the HomeAway Cancellation Policy. However where impacted by border closures, or island closures such as during the Covid lockdown and bushfires in 2020, full refunds are provided.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We loved staying at Fraser View. Fresh air, beautiful spot, ocean views. We have always camped at Fraser, not any more! This exceeded our expectations. Clean, comfortable, easy, has everything we needed. We had the most relaxing time this visit and will definitely be booking Fraser View unit again.
I have left it for a few days to mull over the stay before doing a review, first off the view was amazing, after we cleaned the windows, just the top, I don’t get paid to clean, and at 2,000 for a week I shouldn’t have had to. The toilet roll holder was hanging by a thread, such an easy fix, it shows a lack of pride and respect for such a lovely area and to the customer. The oven, good grief it’s dangerous, I used it once and would never again, the door didn’t seal and you get see where previously it had burned the side cupboard, I turned it down at one point, not off, down, it went out, given the starter didn’t work I had to put my hand into a hot oven to relight, I wouldn’t feel safe leaving the room again 2,000 per week. The WI FI didn’t work the whole time we were there, fine for me but our parents needed it, luckily they were able too HOT spot off ours, Kevin did what he could but in the end it was advertised and dare I say it again 2,000 per week, for that I would also expect at least blankets that fit the beds, we had numerous single ones that were torn or had seen much better days but we were warm and that I guess is what matters. Over all we had a good time and spotting whales from the deck or through the cleaned windows was magic, the pub was fabulous, their food was amazing. Would I stay there again? Probs not

The on island team do try to clean the windows before each visits but sometimes with lots of changes thy run out0f time. And being 150m off the surf means the sea spray is constant. The oven door damage was very recent and a new stove was taken to the island and installed on the day you checked out - sorry that it could not be done sooner but we needed the new stove and a gasfitter to install. Hopefully sorting the wifi

Combination of kitchen and outside BBQ provided everything we needed.View of beach was partially obstructed by another Beach House ... did not detract from the experience ...!!Fantastic 4 days ... !!
Amazing views from this spotless 2 bedroom unit that has everything you could possibly need. Central location on Fraser which allowed us to explore any direction easily.
Great unit, clean, there's board games to play- spoiled for choice. Beds are comfy, view is amazing, the location is fairly central to everything.
We would stay again no problems!
Great place, has all of the essentials needed for a week away. Plenty of room for 5 people. Beds on the firm side. Great views from the verandah. Thanks.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Place had some damages upon check in. Wasn't very clean. Holes in the screen and doors misaligned allowed bugs to get in. The Stayz app for booking was painful to work with.
Perfect place for a shorter trip with a small group of mates, for a short trip you may not want to make the longer drive say up to Orchid, this offered the perfect set up for 4 nights, within close proximity to good spots for newcomers.

What makes this property unique
Located in the second valley of Happy Valley and only 150m from the surf always provided the true feel of being on the island. Hence the tag line for Fraser View - See the Sea, Feel the Breeze.
