Mirramar House - Kingston

Situated 1-2 minutes drive from Blackmans Bay beach, Mirramar House is ideally suited for families coming to the beach on holidays, visiting family or migrating into the area.

Mirramar House is 15 minutes drive south of Hobart's CBD and less than 5 minutes from the bustling shopping and business district of Kingston.

There are 2 queen and 4 single beds accommodating 8 guests (plus an additional fold out bed or portacot if required). There are two living areas. One has a large flat screen TV and DVD/VCR. The other is perfectly located to enjoy the sun while relaxing with a good book or enjoying the view of the ocean. There is a deck with BBQ and outdoor furniture that also has a view. The main bathroom has a shower and spa in bath with a separate toilet. The one queen bedroom located downstairs bedroom has an ensuite. The house has full kitchen facilities with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and oven and a washing machine and dryer are provided. Mirramar House is fully furnished and includes all linen and other items that you need to self cater, whether for a week or a couple of months. So whether you are after the beach, a home away from home or relaxation this is the place to do it!

Various activities are available nearby such as fishing, swimming, diving, boating, bushwalking, golf, or just lying on the beach. Blackmans Bay is a great base for exploring The Antarctic Division Headquarters, The Huon Trail, Tahune Air Walk and Hastings Caves. Alternately drive/bus into Hobart's CBD to shop, sightsee or visit the local tourist attractions. Take a day trip to Bruny Island, the World Heritage Area, or one of our National Parks and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

Please note we also rent a 2 bedroom apartment on the beach at Blackmans Bay should this be more suitable to your needs.

Everything was perfect, from booking and last minute additions. Andrea the host was very easy to contact if needed and provided everything you could need for an adventure in Tas. The house is located in a quiet area with some of the best views of the bay. We will definitely be back

Beautiful home away from home

Everything you need in this beautiful home. The location is perfect for walks, and also only a short drive to any direction in the Hobart surrounds. Can't wait to stay again in the future.

House has plenty of room. Seperate lounge, dining, and sitting areas. Made it very comfortable for 6 people. Great views of the water, although you must drive to local beaches which wasn’t a major hassle. Supermarkets and food shops were close by. Would stay again if i travel to Hobart.

Loved our stay …..beautiful house in a great location. Only gripes were that although there was a dishwasher there we could have just done a hand wash except there was no tea towels or dishcloth there. We also found the keypad on the door very hard too see in the sun so used the available key once we were inside. Excellent host very responsive to our messages.

Great house

The house is perfect. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a three night stay. The bed was very cosy and warm . Used the washing machine and tumble dryer which look brand new. Both very easy to use. The A/C warmed the whole house and the kitchen is very spacious and well layer out. The owner provided great instructions on how to get to house . Great location for day tour to Bruny island or spending a day in Hobart. Vert happy to come back and stay again.

Mirramar House, Kingston

We.. my adult daughter and my sister, …had a fabulous time on our trip and Mirramar House was the foundation of the trip. The home is secluded, quiet, very comfortable and well-stocked, and beautifully appointed, and comfortable beds all around!!! Then there’s the spectacular view over the River Derwent each morning… one of our best memories and perfect with coffee!! We stayed nearly 2 weeks with a pademelon visit every evening in the front yard… so cute! I highly recommend this home, it was a fast trip in one direction to my daughter’s home and family, and Hobart in the other direction. Thank you so much, it was gorgeous all around!!

A great time was had by all :)

3 hockey players and 2 dogs took advantage of this location during the Masters Hockey Nationals in Hobart. The house was well set up, hard surfaces, easy to keep clean. The yard, while small, held the dogs for 2 weeks. One issue with a tap was sorted with a single message, a mid stay clean was handled the same way. The dogs were walked all around the neighbourhood, we all enjoyed the scenery. There was plenty of room for us, we could easily have brought another couple of people. All in all, a lovely place to stay, many thanks to Andrea for making the stay so pleasant and easy to manage.
