Gatekeepers' cabin

The Cottage is a beautifully appointed facility with fire place, foxtel, CD player with large collection of CD's. Perfect for a couple wishing to spend a weekend or longer just enjoying the country landscape within the Scenic Rim or more actively engaging in watersports, horseriding, bush walking, mountain climbing, golf and so much more.
Located within a working beef cattle business of Dugandan Droughtmasters. There are horses and cattle grazing at all times in adjoining paddocks.
The Dugandan Pub is just 3 klms away for casual meals and a courtesy bus which for no charge will pick you up and drop you back should you decide to have a few drinks. Quality dining is available in town and at Austin House and at the nearby Karoomba Winery
A horse arena, round yard and horse paddocks are available for use by guests wishing to bring horses to the country for a change of scenery
Also available is sofa bed and stretchers or swag for an extra charge of $50 per couple which covers the laundering of extra linen & towels.

We really enjoyed our stay. A private rural setting, lots of birds and farm animals . We had a cracker of a fire at night. The cabin is well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Had dinner at the local pub which was really nice.

The property is exactly as promoted. Great if you are after a quiet couple of days away from the city.Waking up to just the sound of wildlife with cattle and horses grazing in the paddock just outside the front door.Very close to a few smaller towns with quaint cafes and old style pubs.All in all a very enjoyable stay.

What a fantastic place to stay for a delightful weekend away! Great for the kids and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor fire pit! Lovely, friendly hosts! We will definitely be back!

The views are so beautiful, we loved the cows, horses, birds which are right next to the accommodation. So quiet there, easily accessible to Boonah, pub close by, central to scenic rim sightseeing.We had no phone reception, nor wifi connection which we did not realise would be the case.There were a few little issues which I let the owners know by leaving a hand written note.

We loved our 3 nights here with our teenager and dog. Great open-plan layout, cozy fireplace that heats the whole place, well-stocked kitchen, and a quick 5-minute drive into Boonah. Excellent host communication.Just note that there is zero Wi-Fi and very patchy mobile signal across all networks, so download your entertainment beforehand (there is a DVD player and free-to-air TV). Also, the log fence won't secure a dog. Unsealed road access, but easy to navigate. Would happily stay again!

Cottage is cute but accomodation was average, the TV had foxtel but no internet access and very few TV channels. The lighting is very dim and very difficult to get enough light to read. There were no other cooking accessories like cooking oil etc. even only one roll of toilet paper.

Needed more information regarding age seniors safety we enjoyed our stay however my wife had 2 falls and I nearly had one it needs safety rails especially getting in and out of the shower and step ways
