About this property

Country Cottage + Fabulous Views. PRIVATE Exclusive Pool. WIFI. Pets Welcome!

The cottage is open-plan and split-level, so sadly not suitable for toddlers or disabled. The fully equipped kitchen/dining area has 3 steps leading up to the cosy living room where there is a music system and TV. The TV can be turned either towards the living room or the kitchen.

There is also a small office and WIFI. The 2 bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, one on the ground floor, the other, loft, bedroom on the first floor. Both have double beds and are very spacious. The loft bedroom has more than enough space for 2 single beds as well, if required.

The bathroom has a large bath, separate shower, basin and toilet.

The terrace has a bar/BBQ and outdoor fridge. The private, salt-treated 9 x 4m pool, open from May to October weather permitting, and its’ terrace overlook several valleys and has fabulous views! Parasols abound and Palm and Banana trees offer natural shade.

The cottage is in a hamlet with just 2 other houses so very quiet and peaceful but is only 1 minute from the village and its’ shops plus a bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining facilities. They also do 'custom made' pizzas.

Changeover day is Saturday but I can be flexible on day and also length of stay e.g. 10 days would be possible.

wonderful location

LaBriasse was the perfect location for our holiday The cottage is very peaceful and private with a lovely pool, which was well used in the beautiful weather. We loved the views from the pool across the Correze countryside. Everything we required was provided, and we really appreciated the welcome pack . Dawn's cottage is comfortable and has character and we really liked exploring the locality and Ayen.

Wonderful Cottage and Location

The gite is lovely and oozes character - it's a special place. The pool is fantastic and there are plenty of loungers to be in the sun or shade. The BBQ area is great, as is the outside eating area. Dawn is a fantastic host. She was there to meet us and give us a good overview of the place. Easily contactable by text and very responsive. We had a great stay and would love to go back one day!

Relaxation in a beautiful surrounding

Staying at this residence means a total relaxation. You have all means in- and outside the house. The pool is great. Enjoy the silence and view the sky at night. Contact with the owner Dawn was great. All well organized. The area is fantastic and the bigger town are not quite rote. All in all definitely worth another holiday next year.

Amazing stay in beautiful rural Correze

We had the most relaxing amazing stay in Dawn’s beautiful home. We had everything we needed to make our stay just perfect & the pool & outdoor area made our week. Beautiful countryside & views. Nearby supermarket & local markets perfect for your every need. Just idyllic. Can’t wait to return. Dawn met us & made us so welcome. Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday

Great views. Great pool lovely host Really nicely equipped house with a great pool. Area is quiet and relaxing. Not the place if you want bright lights and nightlife. But fantastic for a relaxing week in truly beautiful scenery. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you need. There are many steps so not a good choice for mobility impaired people. We all had a fantastic time

Enjoyable stay at character packed house with pool

We arrived to a really warm welcome by Dawn who explained everything very clearly. Communication before and during our stay was excellent. The old and quirky, clean house had everything we needed and oozed character. The pool is a nice size, clean and most importantly, lovely and warm. There are plenty of recliners and outside seating for relaxing. We ate outside most days (weather permitting). There are lovely nearby walks. We had an enjoyable lunch at the restaurant Le Relais d’Ayen. Food was tasty and the owners were very friendly. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Where have all the restaurants gone ?

We loved staying at Dawn's house.She would be the first to admit that a bit of a paint job is necessary.The trees by the fantastic pool could also do with a trim as they detract from what should be alovely view. Our only disappointment was the restaurants in the village have all closed for one reason or another.The new cooker is great and there is a BBQ but we would have liked to have eaten out in the evening.

Un séjour parfait!!

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour!!! Très jolie maison fonctionnelle et très belle piscine!! La magnifique vue n’est pas accessible depuis le jardin du fait de la belle végétation luxuriante, mais cela ne gêne en rien! Merci encore Aurore pour votre accueil et votre disponibilité.

Franchement bof !

Nous nous attendions tout de même à mieux vu les photos , mais elles ne sont pas récentes du tout . Accueil plus que moyen , maison vétuste , tables extérieur en fin de vie , coin barbecue qui ne donne pas envie d'y faire cuire quoi que ce soit , dallage piscine sale et mal posé . La vue vantée dans l'annonce est cachée par la végétation qui a largement poussée depuis. Nous avons étés réveillés toutes les nuits par un très fort bruit de chaudière que l'on aurait cru dans la chambre mais situé sous la pièce. Location pour 6 personnes , mais deux minuscules frigos . Nous ne recommandons pas , surtout pour ce budget .

Nice cottage

The house, garden & pool are great. Dawn is a pleasant lady who is very responsive. Cosy, cool cottage when the wetter is good, on rainy days, it is a bit dark inside. Nice kitchen, but some appliances need to be replaced (it’s on Dawn’s planning). Our dog enjoyed the private garden with lot’s of cosy corners.

Landhaus in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir (2 Personen) waren im August/September für eine Woche mit unserem Hund bei Dawn. Es war eine tolle Woche! Dawn ist eine sehr herzliche Person, die bei jedem „Problem“ weiterhilft und sich um ihre Gäste kümmert. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt wenn man Ruhe sucht. Auf einem Berg gelegen mit einem weiteren Haus nebenan. Privatsphäre ist zu 100% gegeben. Der Garten war komplett eingezäunt, was perfekt war für unseren kleinen Hund. Der beheizte Pool, die Grillmöglichkeit bei der Außenbar, die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, die Sonnenschirme, die Palmen und die Banenbäume im Garten haben das Anwesen abgerundet. Stukje paradijs in Frankrijk

Heel leuk huisje midden in de rimboe, rust en ruimte is hier zeker. Huisje was groot genoeg voor ons vieren en twee honden. Het verwarmde zwembad was uiteraard een trekpleister. Het huisje is prima ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, het ontvangst was zeer hartelijk en alles wordt goed uitgelegd.. Zeker een aanrader om nog eens heen te gaan. Dank je wel Dawn! Rene

Bon séjour, malgré que le temps fût mitigé. Nous avons pu que très peu profiter de la piscine. La maison est chaleureuse et la propriétaire est très sympathique, très bon accueil.

Urlaub auf dem Land

Dawn hat ein wunderschönes Haus mitten in der Natur. Der Pool ist sehr schön und sauber. Das Grundstück eignet sich perfekt für Urlaub mit Hund. Dawn ist eine sehr nette und herzliche Gastgeberin und das Haus ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet. Man sollte allerdings keine Angst vor Spinnen und anderen Krabbel und Fliegetieren haben denn die gibt es in einem Haus in der Natur. Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Zeit und würden gerne wieder kommen.

Super séjour dans un cadre magnifique

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans la maison d’Aurore, qui nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. La maison typique est magnifique, ainsi que la piscine avec une superbe vue sur la vallée. La maison est située dans un endroit très paisible (le chant des oiseaux rythment les journées). Nous recommandons vraiment la maison d’Aurore pour passer des vacances au calme dans un cadre idyllique. Si nous retournons dans la région, nous ne manquerons pas d’y retourner.

I came to France 34 years ago after 10 years of travelling and opened a Country Hotel. I needed to put down roots and had always loved France – the hotel just sort of happened!

Why they chose this property

I 'fell on' this property by pure luck and you would understand why I bought if you saw it and the amazing views.25 years ago I moved 5kms across the valley into a ‘cottage in need of some renovation….’ Apparently it used to be the local bakery and bistro. After a few years of renovation [I still keep improving where and when I can] I decided to rent it out on a holiday basis– I missed the contact with different people who then, often, became friends.

What makes this property unique

Not many cottages sleeping so few have a private, exclusive-use pool. Mostly, cottages of this size have a pool shared with at least one other property and I keep my tarif very competitive so that it is affordable for a couple on their own.
