Peaceful retreat

We had a wonderful stay in a very quiet location and watched the sun rise each morning. Tony was very accommodating when we had to postpone our trip in 2023 when my husband had Covid the day before we were to travel and allowed us to transfer our booking to 2024. Much appreciated and we were so glad to stay in such a beautiful location with everything we needed. Highly recommended.

Perfection "The Deck Grasstree Beach Shacks"

I have stayed in many properties all over the world and "The Deck" is probably the cleanest and the best well provided property that I have stayed in . The property is modern and relaxed with meticulous attention to detail. It has a well sized deck overlooking the ocean ... complete with a large outdoor setting, comfy chairs and BBQ. There is undercover parking and a well equipped laundry. Just superb.

Excellent location

The location is fantastic. Great for the whole family. Overall, the property is well maintained and easy to look after. The only downside is there is no local shop for snacks or takeaways. You have to drive 15-20 minutes to be able to pick up any items you may have forgotten to bring for your stay.

Great location, host and The Den had all we needed and was beaut place to stay.

The highlights for us were location, watching the water from the front rooms and the front deck, and the quiet location happily - except for the sounds of waves - all meant none of us wanted to leave. Wifi for the teenage boys and working remotely for me was ideal. Remote Host Anthony was responsive and exceptional. A credit to him what he has provided for others to enjoy. Our family is grateful. Andy.

Thanks for the feedback but just so no one is confused “The Den” is on the ground floor and does not have stairs. It is the upstairs unit “The Writer’s Retreat” that has the stairs. Luckily for Allison they had both units on their stay. We try to encourage families particularly with young children to book downstairs where possible while couples and small families upstairs as that is what we find suits each group better and at the end of the day we want happy guests that have a reasons for great reviews.

Beautiful location & property

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Grasstree beach. Loved waking up to the sunrise and falling asleep to the waves crashing. The adults enjoyed the tranquillity of the location and the younger members of the family enjoyed the Netflix and Wi-Fi. Made great use of the deck with outdoor setting for enjoying a few drinks and nibbles. Definitely recommend this property if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and just relax.

Worth a visit

Exceptional modern unit with quality furnishings. Has everything you need for a great time away. Secure backyard for dogs to enjoy. Netflix and wifi. Great outdoor front deck that you can relax on, cook a bbq and watch the amazing sun set. I would highly recommend this 'shack' as a place to stay and would stay here time and time again.

We enjoyed our stay, however the lack of anywhere to hang clothes in the main bedroom and very limited space to move around the bed was a hindrance. If the furniture was swapped around and the bunk was in the front room and the queen bed in the second room, there would be ample room to move around the bed, and hanging space for clothes for the adults.

Really impressive

We were really impressed by this place. Well furnished and the kitchen has everything you need. Board games, a full laundry and beautiful views of the pacific ocean. There's a great park directly across the road so you can literally sit on the deck and relax while the kids play safely. We loved the fact that we could bring the dogs and enjoyed running them on the beach every morning. The tv has Netflix and reads usb hard drives and plays all the latest files. There's a ueboom as well and the Wi-Fi is fast and included. Besides the weather from time to time we really really enjoyed our stay. Well done Gtasstree beach shacks. We'll be recommending this place to our friend's.

Great unit located across the road from the beach and park. Pet friendly (outside) in a spacious secure yard. The owner is great and was very accommodating to our needs. Airconditioning in the bedrooms, affordable price and the added bonus of good wifi was excellent too. Thank you

We booked both units and found the location ideal. Maximum 20 minutes drive from anything your likely to need for a relaxing vacation or just simply stop in and cater for yourself in the fully equipped kitchens or use the BBQ. What an outlook, great beaches parks and just a few hundred metres up the road are handy boating facilities of the highest standard for a quiet coastal village. As boaties we found the ample yard space and easy access a real bonus. Highly recommended for families, boaties and those looking for clean well appointed accommodation.
