Wonderful location! Surf beach one way, 24/7 dog beach in another, and Fisherman's Wharf close by, too. Ideal place for our two dogs. Our host made us feel welcome and communicated well.

Wonderful place to relax

We have been to Dacha Kincora twice now and both times we found it a wonderful place to chill, walk and relax. It is minimalist but comfortable, quiet but close to all amenities. Sitting inside or outside as night falls is our idea of heaven; roos, birds and sunsets. Our favourite beach getaway!

Healing vibes with Wombat views !

We absolutely loved our stay at this wee slice of heaven. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the deck, walking on the beach and doing some much needed yoga. Thanks for such a fabulous trip, we are so sad to go home and engage with busy work lives again. We will be back.

Delightful, rustic holiday house

Venus Bay is a beautiful destination. This holiday house is clean, comfortable and relaxing. It borders on a reserve and is a few minutes drive to the beach. We found everything we needed in the house. Our host was amazing and helpful and so was the neighbour. Thank you very much.

Our host Catherine was very responsive and accommodating. The house is a great country cottage . We immediately felt at home. The large pverandah has very comfortable seating from which to enjoy the fresh air, the breeze and views of trees. The neighbourhood is very quiet. At night with the window of the bedroom open we could hear the waves of the sea, which is 1 km away. The home has rustic charm and is decorated tastefully.

The host was very good and replied quickly to all emails. The location was excellent. The main negatives are the total neglect of the garden, really terrible,having to bring our own bedding and bath towels, asked to vacuum and make sure we vacuum under the table, mop the floors and wipe down benches. I always leave a place clean but have never been asked to actually clean the place. The cottage itself was rustic and peaceful.

A cozy cottage tucked away behind the sand dunes

Dacha Kincora was the perfect destination for our short winter get-away. My sister and niece were visiting from Germany and we only had three nights to spare. The cottage is only 10 minutes walk from the beach along a sandy bush track, so we enjoyed beach walks and a magnificent sunset. The cottage has all the facilities you would expect but retains a quirky and very individual charm. If you visit in the cooler months, the little wood heater is amazingly efficient. If set up properly it keeps the whole cottage warm. Given our brief stay, the bed linen option (extra cost) was most welcome. Highly recommended - and I think a Spring or Autumn visit should be on my agenda.

Relaxing getaway

We loved our time at Dacha Kincora just perfect for that little getaway for relaxation. A 10 minute walk down the coastal path your on the beach or chill out at the cottage looking over the beautiful views of the reserve. All secure for our Labrador who loved running around the land at the cottage. Definitely a place on our favourite list!

Everything you need to relax

We loved every moment of our stay at Dacha Kincora. The house is has everything you need but feels different enough from home to know that you are on holiday. With views and access to the public reserve you feel one with the beautiful nature that surrounds the house. A chorus of bird noises sings from dusk til dawn. Will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future holidays.

Relaxing, casual, comfy cottage

This is such a lovely little cottage to have a few days rest and relaxation at. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We saw a family of kangaroos early one morning meters from the back deck, magical. Catherine was excellent to deal with. Overall a fantastic experience.

Very relaxing stay. Beautiful position.

Great position overlooking Anderson’s inlet. Very relaxing rear decking area and swing seat. Easy walk through nature reserve to number 5 beach. House itself was clean and tidy and has everything required. Loved the expansive glass areas to enjoy the view at the rear. We will be back.

A charming house, very clean with a peaceful outlook.

Perfect getaway if you would like some peace and quiet. Located near a spectacular surf beach as well as being close to the inlet if you want to launch a boat. The house has plenty of character and is very clean. We loved it!

Very nice.

The place was in a good private location with bush surroundings and views. When we drove up there where lots of stuff outside, it needed to be hidden it looked untidy. I think the owner is still renovating. The garden needed trimming, trees and bushes where overgrown, espically if its snake country, it needs a gardener to maintain the property. I dont mean to be picky but it didnt give a good impression. There was shoes left in the hallway 3 pairs on a rack, everytime i walked past I smelt odour. Their shoes should be put away out of sight . Apart from that had a lovely time, enjoyed their holiday house very unique the owners are lovely..

Beautiful views and peaceful retreat

Dacha Kincora is one of those gem houses that you're reluctant to review, in case it gets booked out when you want it! We love this place. The back faces the trees and the reserve. You may see walkers come past, but mainly you get to gaze out the lounge, dining and kitchen windows to the birds, trees and sky. There's a deck and a love seat, but as we've been in winter that hasn't been utilised much! We were initially worried about heat, but the free standing wood-fired heater keeps the living areas toasty, and warms the bedrooms pretty well too. The bed in the master room also has electric blankets to turn on just before bed(and I think in the other room as well). The kitchen has everything you need in terms of utensils, crockery and pans. Whether cooking on the gas oven/stovetop or doing the dishes you can look out at the view. The lounge is also great for reading or watching some of your fave series on netflix. If you're visiting Venus Bay for the first time be sure to check out the Community Centre - a great place for a chat and an op shop. They also have free bicycles for loan. There's also great walking and fishing, and of course the beach!

Such a gorgeous place to stay. Its cosy inside and out. The views over the inlet are amazing and great to enjoy any time of the day. Secluded location was perfect!

Excellent place for visiting the Wilson Prom

The cottage is everything you need to enjoy the beautiful areas of the Wilson Prom and its coasts. The cottage is essential but has everything, tidy and clean. Smart stay and good flexibility for check ins and check outs.
