Such a serene and peaceful place to relax. It's close to awesome bush walks and amazing scenery - the spa bath was most appreciated after a day in the National Park
We had a comfortable two nights in the cabin. It wasn’t easy to get to with dirt roads etc but host was helpful through text. The cabin is rustic but clean and had most things we needed.we were there for a music festival in Dungog so a little out of the way and a hard drive back at night But if the intention was to relax in nature then the cabin would be a good choice
We loved our stay here. The hosts were very lovely and provided a lot of information about the property and surrounding areas. Beautiful location and the bed and spa were top notch
Foreston Retreat is such a beautiful place to stay and relax.
The property is just magnificent and peaceful. The cabins are extremely neat.
The property has some great bushwalking tracks.
The host are lovely and we will be definitely returning.
Such a beautiful location, it was just perfect for my friend and I. The fire outside was beautiful and the weather was also beautiful. We are already planning our trip back.
It was just what we wanted. Amazing view's, beautifull area, nature, peaceful and quiet. Very clean and privet. Definitely recommending.
Thank you Bronwyn&Max we had a great time.
Such a beautiful place with its own private fire pit. The place is quiet and the night sky is full of stars. The amenities were all amazing. Would highly recommend if you are looking for some time away from the busy city life and wanting some peace and comfort!
Had was such an amazing retreat for me and my partner. The place is located in such a beautiful and so serene .Very clean property and has everything you need.Great spa and comfortable bed .I highly recommend this place and I will sure go back again .The hosts are so wonderful people .
The indoors was very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. The best part was the windows and veranda all around, allowing us to appreciate the views of hills and sunsets and enjoy seeing the many bird and marsupial visitors. We had a lovely time exploring the property and using it as a base to explore more widely.
Had a great Valentines weekend here with my partner. Max and Bronwyn were great to communicate with and left clear instructions in the cabin for us to use the ammenities such as aircon and spa. Property was really clean and well looked after and surrounding country provided beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. Would come here again!
Nice and coze place to stay.

Great getaway
We found the property to be so lovely and well maintained. Everything was clean and comfortable. The fire pit was what drew our attention to the property and it did not disappoint! My family and I had the best night sitting around it toasting marshmallows.

Thanks for your lovely review, it is encouraging as we want to make people's visit memorable for good reasons.
Such a peaceful and beautiful location. Very comfortable cabin with everything needed for a wonderful break. To wake every morning to the bell birds amongst the trees and assorted other wildlife singing amongst the trees was special. The sky was clear to view the stars away from the city lights.
The perfect retreat for those looking to escape into the countryside! Excellent communication and care from property manager Bronwyn, who goes the extra mile in ensuring guests are comfortable during their stay at Fosterton retreat, while also providing extensive resources for things to do in the Dungog area. I especially loved the attention to detail in the descriptions of the nearby hiking trails. Overall a wonderful experience, would definitely recommend.
Easy process for our booking. The property is absolutely idyllic. Definitely the place to to get away from the city for a while. We spent 4 nights at Fosterton Retreat. Went on lovely drives up through the state forest & exploring the beautiful rivers & creeks. The wildlife is all around.
The location was beautiful, with plenty of wildlife to watch, the river was great for a swim on the hot day. Hosts were helpful with clarity in all communication and unfailing friendliness. Highly recommend. There is another cabin nearby, but we never saw or heard anyone else during our stay.
Cabin was the perfect size for two people. Amenities were great, with everything we needed to cook our meals. Decor is a bit outdated, the towels were scratchy and the dye pattern was a little offputting, but the bed was comfy and there were plenty of blankets to keep warm and cosy. Heating was very efficient. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
