Thank you so much Belinda and co. We put real thought into the little details, the pantry, the firewood, getting the place properly ready, so it means a lot to hear it landed. Glad the communication side felt easy too. Hope to host you again sometime.

Thanks for staying Michelle. We love Shearwater all seasons. The moody seas views and wood heater make it cozy in winter. In summer its spacious and designed for beach house living. Wilsons Prom is a compelling backdrop and really unique.
The property welcomed us with open arms. Everything we needed was available, to make our stay relaxing. A number of interesting site seeing destinations very close by. Definitely recommend. Thank you for having us 😊

Glad to hear your family felt so welcome and relaxed Jodie. Thanks for recommending us to your friends. We would be so happy to have you stay again any time.
This house was absolutely perfect for 4 couples to get away. It was super deluxe and comfortable, with great facilities. The fireplace - with easy wood access - was incredibly cosy and the sound system was fabulous! We were in heaven. My only complaint was the electric stove was difficult to cook on as power kept dipping, and I would take your own coffee maker as the mechanical one supplied was slow and arduous when attempting 8 cups in the morning. We would love to visit again. It is perfect for any time of the year! It was 10/10 for us all!

Thank you so much, a 10/10 from four couples is just wonderful to read! So glad the fireplace, sound system and overall comfort made for such a heavenly getaway. Just a couple of small notes that might help future guests. The electric cooktop works just like all electric stovetops, reaching temperature and cycling on and off automatically, so it's working exactly as it should! And for the coffee situation with a big group, the De'Longhi is a two at a time machine by design, but we've also supplied an 8 cup plunger and a 6 cup stovetop espresso maker for exactly those big morning rounds! Hopefully that saves the next group of eight some waiting time. A huge thank you for leaving the property in immaculate condition, including the best job on the BBQ we have ever seen! We'd absolutely love to have you all back anytime!
The house was very well appointed and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fleur was a delight and was very helpful. The guide about where to go that was provided was great and the gift of local relish and jam was a lovely surprise.

Amazing property that accommodated all of us including our fur child. Beautiful home, close to great bush walks. Fleur was incredible and we’re able to unwind from the city and enjoy a relaxing week of regional bliss. Thank you for having us, we’ll definitely visit again!

Dogs are usually not allowed inside at Shearwater Beach House, but we occasionally make an exception to host well behaved inside dog like Monty. We only grant permission for inside dogs to repeat guests or guests known to us, and we need to convince the owners that the risk their much loved property is low. It was a pleasure hosting you Michelle for seven January nights, a great length of time to enjoy Shearwater and the region. We'd be delighted to host you all again.
We look forward to welcoming you back in September Nikki.

Everything is good except hot water, it’s not enough for large group people.
Nice property and good location. Better suggest people taking shower in different time.

Hi Terrence, thanks for your feedback. You are right, if ten people shower at similar times the hot water can run out. It is a big tank 400L but solar heated and if there is not much sun it can be slow to heat. It happened last year to a group in the depths of winter and we responded in detail on 1 July. We've found the hot water holds up fine if a large group staggers showers and we recommend short showers, so that we don't use all the collected rain water.
Shearwater Beach House was a splendid setting for our family as it provided everything for a relaxed break. It is beautifully appointed and situated in a quiet and unspoilt location. Views across Waratah Bay to the Prom and endless walks if you're feeling energetic. Terrific Property!!

Thanks Mary and you too were splendid guests to host.
It really helps when we attract guests with similar values. We really love it when our guests appreciate the effort that goes into property & treat Shearwater with such respect. We hope you come back and you are welcome at any of our properties, anytime.
We had a wonderful time at the house.
It was a home away from home with everything we needed. Full kitchen and laundry. Master bedroom was very generous size connected to the upstairs balcony.
Great family dinners were cooked up and lots of relaxing had in the 2 living areas.
Location was close to all our favourite beaches!!!
The house was warm and comfortable despite the gale force winds and driving rain!
The kitchen was well appointed and we had everything we needed to prepare home cooked meals.
Fleur the property manager was excellent to deal with - nothing was too much trouble for her.

Thanks Rose for staying and being such wonderful guests to host. We really notice the difference between 'OK' guests, good guests and amazing guests.
The Master bedroom with views of Wilsons Promontory, direct access to the balcony, plus ensuite and walk in-robe. I't's definitely one of the best features of the house in my book.
Prom views is a beautiful place to pause. We cosied up by the fire in the evenings, walked to the local lookouts and beaches, took drives to nearby towns, beaches and the prom. A great spot to explore south Gippsland if you want somewhere a little more remote. Property manager was great, responsive to concerns and accomodating of our fur baby too.

Thanks Jo and Russ for your kind help to solve the dishwasher mystery. So pleased that together we could get it back up and running quickly. We are happy to accommodate inside pets by arrangement for really diligent pet owners like yourselves. We really appreciate you leaving zero trace of dog on departure. We hope we have the pleasure of hosting you all again soon.
We had a lovely stay at Shearwater, it's a beautiful property and is well fitted out with everything you need. Safe and fun for kids, too, with a fence on the stairs and toys that our toddler loved rummaging in. We loved the area and want to go back because there is so much to see. The house was a bit more drive in and out, but probably more accessible walking if you're with mostly adults or older kids. We were there in winter so a lot was closed for the season, but we didn't mind, we were looking for a getaway and lots of puzzles and Catan rounds by the fire were enjoyed after windy beach walks. Thank you for having us!

Thank you so much for the lovely review, Renee. We're thrilled you and your family enjoyed your stay at Shearwater, and that the toddler-friendly setup helped you have a fabulous break. That's exactly what we hope to achieve for our family guests.
It sounds like you truly embraced the Gippsland experience as a peaceful retreat from city life, making the most of those cozy fireside evenings. We hope you had a chance to explore the local Overlook Walk and Walkerville North Beach, which are perfect for all ages.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We'd love to welcome you and your family back anytime.

Delightful stay at Shearwater
We'd highly recommend a holiday at Shearwater, having just come back from a fantastic weekend away. The house is modern and comfortable, and the views of Wilsons Prom from the balcony are stunning.
We were a group of six, and found the beds comfortable, with good sound separation (great for sleeping in!), amazing hot showers, a great kitchen equipped with all the things you'd need to self-cater, wi-fi and lots of space for big groups.
The house is beautifully furnished, and well located for a range of walks and outdoor adventures.
My favourite part was a peaceful morning coffee (from the handy espresso machine!) - sitting on the sunny deck, looking out at the Prom and watching the local birdlife.
Thanks for a relaxing stay. We can't wait to come back - we'll be booking for a week next time!
We had a wonderful 3 days at Shearwater. The house was perfect for us and did not disappoint from what we could see online. We really couldn't fault it in terms of cleanliness and functionality. The kitchen was very well stocked with essentials as well as every utensil and food prep item we needed. Had a lovely couple of nights on the balcony enjoying the views and the stars after dinner and the back yard served us well for a few games of Kubb. A big Thanks to Fleur who communicated brilliantly and even set up a spare bed in case we had a snorer in the group! Very thoughtful.
Looking forward to our next stay!

Thanks Katie, we are so delighted to hear that you felt the listing was accurate and that we delivered what you had hoped. The stars from the balcony is probably my favourite pleasure at Shearwater. That and gazing at the flames of the wood fire heater. Thanks for being such a pleasure to host.
Lovely house with everything we needed. So nice to bring our dog. She loved the surroundings and walks in bush and beach. So restful and also fun

We are glad you all enjoyed your stay Gini including your dog..I am glad you had such a successful stay and enjoyed the nearby walks and bushland. Dogs don't work for everyone at Shearwater if guests want to include it in the family holiday - the guests are usually upstairs at the front and the dog is in the yard at the back. In exceptional circumstances we may allow a dog to come inside, but a refundable pet bond applies and we need to be very confident that there will be no trace of the dog inside or out when guests leave
