Murchison waters accommodation

This 3 bedroom home is 200mtrs from the beach and walking distance to all shops and resturants. It features Bedroom 1-1 queen bed ,bedroom 2-2 single beds, bedroom 3-1 Double bed , all linen supplied. We allocate bedroom 1 for 2 people bedroom 1&2 for 3/4 people and 1/2/3 bedrooms for 5/6 people If you require extra room there is a charge of $50 per room. . Please message us your room requirements before check in . Full kitchen laundry bbq area out front and a back patio. Airconditioning in the kitchen come lounge .
Situated across the road from a new kids playground that also features a bbq

Lacking basic amenities including iron, soap for hand washing, cloth to wipe kitchen cupboard. Back door could not be locked. Booked for 2 queen beds and only got 1 and 2 singles.

It is a self contained property meaning we supply the basic and you supply the rest . Property has soap and shower essentials in bathroom and kitchen cloths are under sink . Sorry if you missed these We do live on property if you need anything you can ask . As for bedding you booked for 2 people it clearly states 2 people you get queen bed and second room with 2 singles. If you require 3rd bedroom you needed to let us know. Thanks for your thoughts

The house was perfect for the activities we wanted to do and in a perfect location, just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Had lovely meals at the front using the BBQ and Kate communicated effectively when we needed to know anything. Only thing I would recommend for future guests is to bring some house hold essentials such as toilet roll, dish washing liquid etc. as we had to buy these things ourself upon arrival as it was scarce.

Whilst there was every facility provided that we needed there was no comfort….was not pleasant.The beds were terrible, so hard , really bad. All the seating was uncomfortable , rigid the only reasonable seat was at outdoor table After a day of exploring all you want is a comfortable seat and bed and that was not the case sadly.

The check in procedure was fine. The accommodation is showing its age. The floors were very sandy as well as the bedding in one of the three rooms so the cleaning procedure of the unit needs to be attended to.The stove is a dinosaur & needs to be replaced. The plumbing needs attention as it is very noisy when the hot tap is used.Overall it rates as slightly less than adequate for an enjoyable holiday accommodation. The most annoying thing was the sand on the floors & in the bedding. Overall a 2 out of 5.

Thanks for your comments it’s heart breaking to be told our accommodation is not adequate. This property is over 70 years old. It has its issues but has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. It is not 5 stars and we don’t want it to be. We want families to be able to afford a great place to stay and spend money on there holiday not just on accommodation. As for sand in beds they are all made with clean linen if you have bought sand into property it will end up in beds . I as the owner do all the cleaning and have a very high standard . Again it is old property but in great condition. The stove works and cooks for all family sizes . Please remember this is our rental property and we love it and want everyone to have their own experience staying at Murchison waters . We are located on the property if you have concerns please come see us when staying we will do our very best to make your stay awesome . I’ll finish with if you have sand on your feet you have been to one of our amazing beaches and had awesome time.

Homely - Clean - Comfortable - Relaxed

The home suited our needs perfectly, which was for a simple, self-contained home to base ourselves for a few days of relaxing and exploring the area. Lovely, large, front outdoor area with plenty of seating & table options is where we spent most of our home time - great for friends/adult/kids alike. Park across the road would be great for kids to run around too. Kitchen was well supplied with everything you could want. Thankyou :-)

Excellent Host with a well equipped property

A spacious and well located property. The host operates a Lobster Pull Boat Cruise which we participated. It was the hi-light of our 7 day trip. I highly recommend this experience. We get to eat lobsters on the boat and were given lobsters to take home! Such generous operators. A big THANK YOU to Kate, Mark & their Skipper son.

Great location and unit

Property was clean and spacious, everything we needed was supplied. We especially loved the outdoor area, and central location. The host was wonderful and very quick to help when needed. Would highly recommend for a family and looking forward to coming back

Great place for a family or on your own.

Ideal comfortable place whether on your own or family . Great family owned who look after you . Recommend the fishing charter that the family have too. They Worked tirelessly to get everybody there quota of quality fish which they achieved . Thanks Mark and Kate

Excellent Holiday!

Murchison Waters (Unit 2) was a lovely place for us to stay. Perfect in Location being so close to the beach, parks, Tourist Centre and still back off the main street so less noisy. Plenty of useful amenities around the unit and we loved the front patio area, we spent most of our time relaxing out there and kids loved the park across the road. We also took advantage of 2 of their Charter Tours (Whale Watching & Rock Lobster Pot Pull) its a must do! Thank you Kate - you were very pleasant and easy to deal with :)
