About this property
Character cottage in heart of village with stunning estuary view and garden
Built in 1864, this welcoming, end-of-terrace Victorian cottage is situated in a idyllic, tranquil position in the popular Pembrokeshire village of St. Dogmaels. The cottage is ideally located in the heart of the village with magnificent, ever-changing views of the estuary from the bedrooms and garden. The property has been sympathetically renovated in a modern-eclectic style, creating a sense of comfort and character with many thoughtful details such as a well-stocked choice of books, guides , maps, broadband access and a folder detailing local ‘must dos’ and other useful information.
Curl up in front of the log wood-burner; enjoy the works of local artists throughout the cottage and make use of the well-equipped kitchen with it’s wealth of original features such as inglenooks, limewashed stone walls and a decorative open fire-place perfectly complementing bespoke, hand-painted oak kitchen units equipped with modern appliances and Fired Earth accessories. A separate cloak room, flooded with natural light, provides a useful storage area. Upstairs, there are two stunning bedrooms with spectacular estuary views and stripped wooden floorboards. There is an abundance of light and original features such an antique white cast-iron bed, a, a lime-washed feature wall, carefully chosen lighting and an original fireplace. Outside, there are three different areas to relax in, including the back garden with it’s spectacular view of the estuary.
St. Dogmaels with it’s vibrant and friendly local community offers a wealth of attractions. There are several village pubs, a well-stocked shop and a weekly Farmer’s Market , the latter set between the ruins of St. Dogmaels Abbey and a working flour mill. The village sits within the stunning Pembrokeshire National Park and is the starting point of the Pembrokeshire Coatpath with it’s gorgeous secluded bays and scenery. The pretty market town of Cardigan is one mile away. Other local attractions include the Preseli mountains, Cenarth waterfalls, Cilgerran Castle, dolphin watching in Cardigan Bay and kayaking on the River Teifi. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BACK GARDEN HAS STEEP UNFENCED DROPS AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.

So... I'm a busy working parent who doesn't like technology..! Why mention this? To explain why I'm sometimes slow to respond to requests... I do get there eventually though.. I hope that you will see from my reviews that I'm friendly and helpful - just not always online:-)
