Tucked away at the ‘Paris end’ of Venus Bay’s First Estate, Far View offers a peace and stillness that is hard to find in the busy modern world. Sweeping views across the paddocks are framed by ancient pines and ocean dunes as cares dissolve with the casual tumble of the windmills on the horizon and the distant rumble of the surf.

Far View is located within easy walking distance to shops, café and beaches. Beach 1 is a 15 minute walk across a nearby track over the dunes. Stunning unobstructed 180 degree views over farmland, the Strzelecki Ranges, Bald Hill wind farms and out to Wilsons Prom.

The recently renovated house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

There is also a newly refurbished retro caravan on the property that makes for a perfect teenage or grandparent retreat. Additional fee applies.

Enjoy early and late check in/out at 12pm.

We had a wonderful stay at FarView, Venus Bay. The house is beautifully maintained, welcoming, and genuinely pet‑friendly. We travelled with our two elderly pugs, and they were perfectly comfortable the entire time. It’s clear the property is truly loved by its owners—everything is clean, tidy, open, and airy.This was our first time using Stayz, and if Joseph and Helen’s place is the benchmark, we’ll happily book through the platform again. The owners were easy to contact, thoughtful, and clearly care about their guests’ experience.Venus Bay itself is a quiet little town, which was exactly what we were looking for. A few more cafés and food options in the future would add some healthy competition, and the unpaved streets can get a bit dusty when cars pass or the wind picks up. That said, the town is very clean, and the beaches are absolutely pristine. The Surf Lifesaving Club deserves real credit—their presence makes the beaches feel safe and well‑looked‑after.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Joseph and Helen’s place again. It was excellent in every way, and we’re grateful for the care they put into making it such a comfortable getaway.

Venus Bay Stay

Lovely location near a beach where we could actually walk the dog, how refreshing. Also clo to so many other interesting places including Wilson’s Promontory where the local restaurant with its views was fabulous.

A relaxing time at Far View

We had such a relaxing time at Venus Bay, it's a lovely quiet hamlet. Far view had every mod con that you would need to stay in a holiday house and the view is gorgeous. We will definitely stay again.

Vintage-style cottage in rural beach location

Well appointed cottage and cute caravan in a quiet rural location in Venus Bay. Loved the vintage decor with my 20 year old kids loving the retro caravan. Lovely views from the property and not too far from the beach.

Lovely stay

This is a delightful house, clean, well equipped, and fantastic responsiveness from the owners. The separate caravan was perfect for our older teenager and we really appreciated how dog friendly it is. The views across the fields and or daily cow-watching were great too.

Great property, great view!

Our stay at Farview was terrific. The house is very comfortable, very well presented and furnished and the view from the front porch is a real highlight (which included kangaroos and other wildlife). Definitely recommend.

Immaculately clean, spacious, modern and very well appointed holiday home in a peaceful neighbourhood. Superb deck and BBQ area with great view. Far View is an absolute gem. Easy access to the beach, a short drive to the shops and restaurants. Owners provided excellent service and pre-arrival information. Outstanding value .....we will definitely be returning.

Short stay with 2 dogs

Great to be able to take the dogs with us for a short break. The animal enclosure off the side of the house gave us great comfort knowing the dogs were ok whilst we headed out. Great set up, comfortable and welcoming.

Perfect short stay

As soon as we walked in we could see this house is well looked after . It had everything we needed and nice and close to the beach. Wifi is a huge plus , next time we will bring our dog , Cat and Guinea pigs as the property is super secure . It was a chilly weekend and the heating was fantastic . The owners manual is high tech and easy to use . Coffee machine was fantastic. Thanks so much for the weekend get away . Gunn Family

Nature at its best

Very comfortable home and very suitable for our dog too. Great location for those who love nature. Magnificent view of endless green, with peaceful cows and then windfarms on the horizon. Local wombats doing their thing. Watch for wombats and rabbits on the road! We were there in winter and the heating worked well. We enjoyed the off-peak experience of the area. No crowds to contend with. Make sure you go to Beach No.5, the most impressive view of all. Great food at nearby Riverview Hotel in Tarwin Lower. Bushwalkers (without dogs) should explore the wilderness of the Coastal Park. Hosts prepared a detailed manual of local history, other info and handy hints; they were very responsive to any queries.

Serenity at it’s best

Had a glorious two day stay at Far View. This quaint home offered all we could’ve hoped for. Was spotless inside , was warm , comfortable, very well stocked, and secure for our puppy. Bathrooms have recently been stylishly renovated , shower was great and beds were snuggly. The view from the lounge & kitchen across open farmland was just so peaceful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again ........

Great place for the family and dog

We had a great stay at Far View, very clean property and had everything we needed. Extremely pet friendly which was lovely. We loved watching the kangaroos, bunnies and the overall view of the paddocks from the deck. Would definitely stay here again.

Accomadtion was fantastic. Grear that linen was supplied, the house was cozy but you felt like you had space. Day beds where super comfty. Seen resident wombat a few times. wish we could have stayed longer, house in great condition.

Gorgeous views

Wonderful communication with owners. House suited our family of 4 perfectly. (2 teenage boys). Small cute house but still allowing our boys their own privacy with a t.v in one of their rooms. We all really enjoyed the use of Stan and Netflix, as with the smoke haze we were stuck indoors for a few days. The local Wombat visited us a few nights which was fun. Beds very comfortable and kitchen and BBQ perfect for staying in to cook. The house is easy walking distance to town (shops) which we enjoyed doing every day. Thanks again Helen and Joseph for the use of your lovely house.
