PET FRIENDLY COTTAGES are only minutes from Mount Gambier at 17 Kavanagh Road, Worrolong, on a 5-acre property. The setting is quiet and peaceful with an abundance of birdlife, set amongst manicured gardens with plenty of room to walk your dog or just enjoy the fresh air.

The property is home to two cottages; Collie Cottage (1 bedroom) and Kelpie Cottage (2 bedrooms). Please see description below for accurate midweek and weekend pricing.

We are north-east of Mount Gambier (only 6-7 minutes) in a rural environment.

A short 30-minute drive to the beautiful Coonawarra wine region.
A short 30-minute drive to Port Macdonnell, the lobster capital of S.A., also an amazing rugged limestone coast to admire.
The majestic Glenelg River is also 30-minutes away.
Visit the many caves and sinkholes in the area, including the beautiful Princess Margaret Rose Cave among others.

We stayed at Kelpie Cottage for 3. Iggy with our 2 dogs & found the location, attention to detail for our dogs, very secure fence yard, treats, furniture covers, bowls, bedding, etc were fantastic even though we did bring all our own anyway. We loved our stay there & it was such a lovely country atmosphere, roomy inside, beds were comfy, split system great, & a fridge packed with lots of goodies, wine, choccies, fresh farm eggs from their own chooks, bread, butter, jams, coffee, etc. Would highly recommend if you have dogs to give them a visit & it’s location to Mt Gambiers lakes was great.

2 bedroom cabins with enough room to host 4 adults, 1 child and an infant. Room enough for two dogs with dog beds, bowls for food and drink and space to run out the back. Check in process was straight forward and communication was great for any questions. The lovely additional touches was availability of wood for fire, bread, eggs, cereals and tea/coffee/biscuits. We would absolutely stay again with our dogs (collie types).

It was a wonderful stay. Our 2 cavoodles settled in very quickly - there was a separate area for them to run around outside. The humans settled in nicely as well, plenty of room, brilliant shower. Heating comprised of air-conditioning and a combustion heater which was amazing. The area is beautiful and on our walks horses came up to say hello and we saw kangaroos jumping around. It was only 10 minutes from Mt Gambier. Thoroughly recommend.

My second stay at Kelpie Cottage and I just adore it. So quiet away from the main town of Mt Gambier but close enough for convenience. Everything that could be needed, plus more is provided by the hosts. Easy check-in, gorgeous location and I just love the fact that they are a rescue for Maremma Sheepdogs. Very comfortable cabin with very generous provisions which was appreciated for breakfast.I can’t speak any higher of the hosts, they love what they do and it shows. Thank you again, I’ll be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kelpie Cottage! It was wonderful being able to bring our furry baby along-she had the best holiday too. The cottage had everything thoughtfully prepared for both us and our dog, which we really appreciated. The beds were super comfortable, and the owners were just a phone call away and truly lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Perfect stay

This was a perfect stay for our family and dog. Well set up with dog yard and pet-friendly accommodation. The rural setting was perfect for us as it was a short walk to the forest, or a short drive to Mt Gambier. Thanks for the stay!

An ideal BnB for family & pets. Heaps of food provided, to help when you arrive & following days. For a winter stay there is a wood heater, making it nice & cosy. Anyone would love staying there with their pet.
