The Galena Territory has an extensive network of mowed hiking trails through forests and prairies that are filled with birds, butterflies, and summer flowers. All trails are well-marked, and a map is provided to you in the information folder. You can also horseback ride at the Shenandoah Riding Center in the Territory. Other favorite hiking spots outside of the Territory are Casper Bluff, Horseshoe Mound (sunsets!), and Mines of Spain (a 35-40 minute drive through Dubuque).
