Modern home with peaceful deck, pet-friendly, onsite parking for 3 cars. Bright and comfortable with new furnishings and efficient heating and cooling. Perfect for 2 couples. Remote work with Wi-fi and desk.

Driveway was paved in 2023! This will help access in all seasons. Once you've arrived, walk to Cascade Lake (and all of the Moran State Park trails) across the street. Rosario Resort is one mile away, Eastsound Village is a 10 minute drive.

Bright and comfortable in all seasons. Sunny deck with propane grill and outdoor furniture.

Master bath is en-suite with master bedroom. Second full bath is near entry. Desk is in living room with excellent view of treetops and mountains.

Great property lots of sun and room on the deck. Deer every morning and evening on the property. Trail access to Moran State park right across the street was awesome. Jan was always available. Would stay again.

Beautiful Orcas Island in the woods

Beautiful house and property. Close to hiking trails and Eastsound. Set in the quietness of trees and lots of Star gazing on the deck. Orcas Island is a special place of beauty.

I am both a Host and an avid short term rental traveler.

Twenty years ago I took a sabbatical from my job in Portland OR and moved to a small island in the San Juans. I met my partner and we built our own home and art studios. We work as a gardener and carpenter, paint and make fiber art.

We love taking retreats on neighboring Orcas Island, where we hike, swim and enjoy the mountains and lakes.

Fun - my whole bookclub spends the weekend for the annual Orcas Island Literary Festival!

Why they chose this property

This home is in our favorite location on Orcas. The house is quiet and private, a serene oasis among trees. We take daily walks to Cascade Lake and love not having to drive! When we want coffee or food it's only 10 minutes to Eastsound. Rosario Resort is a favorite respite for a spa day, and it's only a mile away.

What makes this property unique

The terrain of Orcas is gorgeous, but means that many driveways are steep! Please drive slowly and keep moving until you reach the top.

The hills also mean that your cell coverage will be spotty on Orcas. We have reliable wifi with a local provider. Many of our guests have used it for video conferencing while working from the house.

The lower part of the driveway is shared with the house next door. This house is TO THE RIGHT.

DOG OWNERS We welcome your pets in our home.
*Use the dog towels in the entry closet. White towels are for people only!
*Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or beds.
*Dogs should be left alone only in their crates. Ideally, please take them with you.
*Doggie bags are under the kitchen sink. Put them in the trash, never in the toilet.
