Cupid Home - Sunset Town house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood 12 minutes from the airport on the east coast of Barbados. Easy access to to Emerald City supermarket, Shell gas station, Bottom Bay beach, Sam Lord's Castle and Harrismith Beach.

The house comprises of an open kitchen and living area, two bedrooms and one bathroom with toilet and bath tub. . Both bedroom units have ceiling fans and AC units.

The house is one minute walk from the bus stop(not that you will need it since a car is included) and there is also a mini-mart two minutes walk away if you wish to get small house hold items or things for cooking.

This location is perfect for small groups or couples looking to get away on a budget. Also included is a guide of places to go and things to see while staying in Barbados.

Cupid Home - Sunset Town is a beautiful two bedroom house situated in Shrewsbury park, Wellhouse St Philip, Barbados. The house is exceptionally roomy and offers a full kitchen for self catering. If you do not wish to prepare your own meals, there are a number of restaurants within 10 minutes drive of the house. These include the world famous La'Zure,D'Onfrios and Zen restaurants at The Crane Residential Resort, giving you options of European, Italian or Thai/Japanese in their respective orders. If you want true bajan food you can check out The Crane Palms opposite The Crane Resort or one of the many side street vendors selling fish fry.

The house also has free WiFi internet, free telephone for local calls and cable TV(via netflix and hulu plus).

Beaches:
La maison du soleil is located on the south east coast of Barbados and is 3 minutes drive from Harrismith beach. It is a remarkably beautiful beach but only recommended for the stronger swimmers. Less strong swimmers can visit The Crane beach. The Crane Beach was actually rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world. It is an 8 minute drive from the house and there is usually a life guard on duty during the day.

Transportation:
Car can be delivered to the airport saving you on airport transfers. Free airport pick-up is offered to 4 persons or less. The house is 15 minutes from the airport and a taxi would cost $34us.(Jan 2023 rate)

If you are allowed an early check-in and it is before 8am local time, or after 7.30pm local time, there will be a $30us fee attached for the airport transfer. This does not apply if you are making it to the house yourself and using self check-in (the car can be collected later usually in these cases but we are flexible).
If you are returning the vehicle to the airport before 8am local time, or after 7.30pm local time , a $10us fee would also be attached to cover parking fees at the airport.

Great Place, Great Neighborhood

We booked the Cupid home last minute and the property owners made it so easy to book, check-in, and receive the car rental. Any issues or questions were handled promptly. The owners were very friendly and sweet. We were so happy to have found this rental for our last-minute getaway.

What more could you ask for.

Be assured that the owner of this property has your best interest in mind so that you can do nothing but enjoy the sun and the surf. We were met by him at the airport on time, with a car (with GPS and air conditioning), to use during our stay. What a deal! The house, in a quiet neighbourhood, was simple yet functional. Air conditioning in both bedrooms and the main room worked . The kitchen was small but did the job. We cooked and ate there for every meal. The grocery store was minutes away, and had tons of selection. However, bring your own coffee, the price is outrageous. We were within 30 minutes of several isolated beaches on the eastern side of the island, the nearest one was about 5 minutes away. Our favourite offered white sand and a long length for walks. The owner offers beach chairs, an umbrella,beach towels, and a cooler! We've stayed at several houses around the world and always suggest a safe for passports and valuables. This is provided! We would not hesitate to recommend this house for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Great stay, long drive

We had a great stay here. We were disappointed it wasn't entirely clean (toilet and shower), But everything else was great. The biggest problem we had was the lack of resources nearby. We drove about 45 minutes each day to get to the west side where all of our activities were. And honestly, the better beaches. The use of the car was fantastic and we appreciate being able to drive to the other side and not depend on taxis.

Perfect first trip to Barbados

We were so lucky to find this home. Kason and Dawn (owners) are amazing people. With the use of the car we were all over the island everyday. I surprised myself with how quickly I caught on to driving on the right of the car down the left lane of traffic. Yes the house is considered to be in the country but the peace and quiet was great in the evening. Also considering the size of the island 10-20 minute drive and your somewhere quiet and remote or in the middle of the hussel and bussel of Bridgetown. I drive an hour to work one way so this is nothing. We didn’t eat at the house much because there were so many roadside bars/restaurants that we ate ourselves silly. The house is very clean and well maintained Air conditioning in all the rooms and a very island home feel. We took several tours. The Crane Resort is a pick up spot for all the tour companies and a 10 minute drive to get there. If your looking for a party every night this is not the place to stay but if you want to experience Barbados from the eyes of a local this is your place. All you need for the perfect vacation is this home and Google Maps!

Excellent Bajan Vacation - would definitely return!

I stayed at this house with my wife and parents for 7 days in April 2015 and enjoyed the experience of our first time in Barbados. We were picked up by Liz at the airport (who also dropped us off on our last day) and brought to the house with the car that we were to use during our stay. We were provided with a local cellphone for our use, some info on beaches, where to eat etc and Liz was on her way leaving us to unpack and settle in. The house is in great condition with 2 good-size bedrooms with queen beds and AC in each room; perfect for 2 couples or families with small kids. There is no dining table but we usually ate out or sat outside on the front step of the house. It could have been a little cleaner; but we had some 'cleanfreaks' in our travel party who are extra particular, but nothing a little Lysol couldn't fix. Otherwise there is everything you would need in a home away from home. We had a cooler and umbrella for the beach and beach towels provided. There was an iron and ironing board which was nice to have. The only thing my wife missed was a hair dryer but the Bajan sun seemed to do the trick. There is a washer and a clothes line outside. The location is in the 'country' as Liz put it; a very nice, quiet neighborhood close to a corner store, supermarket, bank, restaurants and about a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach. Kason touched base with us a couple times throughout the week but was in no way imposing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this house to our friends and family.

Excellent value; unforgettable trip

Wonderful trip! This was a perfect fit for what we were looking for: cute lodging, but affordable and included transportation. The hotels in Barbados are SO expensive. We attended a wedding at the Hilton and stayed a couple nights. The room rates were outrageously high. And drinks are way overpriced. I hate that. I stayed with a group of four at this rental home in February and was very pleased with the home and especially the value! I had never stayed at a vacation rental home outside the US so I was not sure what to expect. Kason and his family made me feel very comfortable about the safety of the island and the neighborhood. This is indeed a private home on a remote part of the island on a quiet street. It is a drive to many attractions, but close to Bottom Bay Beach, The Crane and Cutters - all great spots. The Marco Polo near the Crane was also a nice place to eat. Kason will help you with whatever you need when you arrive. We went to the fish market and bought fresh fish (amazing!). Kason brought over a grill so we could cook it at home. He was easy to reach using the cell phone he provided (no roaming charges on my phone = another plus). He's also got a great set-up on the GPS. He has pre-loaded many popular attractions so you can easily find them. What a relief not to have to try to read a map on vacation! The house is a good fit for budget-minded. It is clean and simple. If you are hoping for extravagance, you might look at the hotels in town, but if you are looking to experience the culture, explore the island and spend less....STAY HERE. We were out and about a lot so this was not an issue for us, but know that the air conditioners are in the bedrooms and will not effectively cool the whole house. It was warm in the living room mid-day. We took good care of the house and car and got the deposit back, no problem. I highly recommend this rental home. I'm grateful for the experience and will certainly be returning!

Nice Place!

This is the best deal ever! Kason is such a great person and so helpful. He picked us up at the airport. Gave us his car to drive (he will give you a temporary license), we didn't have a GPS at first so he went the next day and got a wireless unit that we could use all over the island. He gave us a cell phone so we could call him anytime. I loved the place as it is in a very local area so you really get the culture. It's very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is in the bedrooms and the open breeze keeps you cool in the main area. There is a washer and the line to hang your clothes dry. You need to bring seasonings, cooking oil, storage bags, shampoo (he provides soap) and of course anything you want to eat. We also didn't have a cookie sheet to use in the oven so we used foil and it was fine. This place is in a great area as my favorite beaches were bottom bay and foul bay. The water is rough on this side but the beaches are awesome! The tourist area is on the west side and this is on the southeast side. You are about 1 mile from the beach. One of our favorite places to eat is the bar and grill on Martins Bay. Another great restaurant was the Round House further up the east coast! Great time!

Great Accomodation and Value for money

Couldn't ask for anything more. Great quality property, well taken care of and a 'homey' feeling. Best price rate per night and the inclusion of a car made selection a no brainer. Our host was also most accomodating and friendly. Will definitely be back again.

Cupid's Home ...very affordable and classy!!

I stayed there for a week (my birthday week) with my brother and close family friend, the place is just as promised in the pictures very neat,clean, and spacious. The area is very peaceful,serene and safe.Cupid's home in comparison to other places offered a car along with GPS for a very very affordable price almost too good to be true if you know what I mean... I am so glad my eyes landed this advertisement on FB...we really had a blast in Barbados and having had access to a car with GPS we were practically able to explore most of the beautiful island. What more can I say... Kason (villa owner) is very hospitable,humble and kind... true gem... made me feel proud that he was also a Trinidadian...true representation!!! Imagine I have only conversed with Kason via email in addition to one or two telephone calls and I feel like I have known him long time, really nice person, he even got me a bottle of wine for my birthday which I thought was a really kind gesture. I, being a very difficult person to please was most certainly surprised that Cupid's Home met all my needs/wants and even surpass in some instances and I would without a doubt in my mind highly recommend to ANYONE looking for an affordable, cosy and classy place to use Cupid's Home when visiting Barbados! Would definitely be visiting soon Kason..so look out for me!!! Thanks again times a million for having this great offer and making it possible for us to have this fun and affordable vacation!!!

Pictures look exactly like the house. A must stay

My cousin and I traveled from Houston, Texas to Barbados for our first Crop Over. Kason met us at the airport with a smile even when our flight arrived late. To our surprise he gave us prepaid cell phones to help us around the island or call him whenever we needed him, and he answered every time. The house was nice and spotless in a quiet neighborhood minutes from beautiful Crane Beach. The combination of GPS, map, and cell phones helped us get around the island without any problems. Kason suggested the best restaurants and sights for us to experience. All of them were great! The house is a short drive to Ostins which we had a lovely time Thursday night indulging in great food and drink and music. I highly recommend Cupid’s Home for the great price.

Perfekter Urlaub

Wir haben einen perfekten Urlaub in diesem Haus verbracht. Alles ist wie abgebildet und beschrieben. Das Haus ist ca. 15 Gehminuten vom nächsten (einsamen) Strand entfernt. Dank des im Mietpreis mit inbegriffenen Autos, war man auch an den wunderschönen Stränden im Süden innerhalb von 20min. Es war übrigends keine Schrottmühle, sondern ein neuerer Automatik Wagen, der voll funktionstüchtig war. Klimaanlage und Navi inklusive! Alles in allem glaubt man kaum, dass man für den Preis alles so bekommt wie es beschrieben wir, aber es ist so. Keine Abzocke, kein Kleingedrucktes! Einfach ein schönes, gut ausgestattetes Haus mit Auto. Das beste daran ist aber der Gastgeber! Kason war der PERFEKTE Gastgeber. Er überlies uns das Auto einen Tag bevor wir ins Haus einzogen (waren schon vorm Einzug in Barbados), fuhr es uns sogar in unseren vorherigen Bleibe vorbei. Er kümmerte sich um alles. Fahrerlaubnis, Reparaturen (Klimaanlage hatte einmal ein Problem) und Fragen wurden innerhalb von Minuten beantwortet oder bearbeitet. Die Komunikation im Allgemeinen war sowas von unkompliziert, schnell und unbürokratisch, sowas kenn ich gar nicht. Er war immer für uns da, aber niemals aufdringlich! Bester Gastgeber ever!!! Uneingeschränkt weiterzuempfehlen! Thanks Kason for your unbelieveable kindness!!!! You made our trip ;)

This is the perfect place for your next vacation!

This place is awesome. My wife and I stayed here for 11 days on our honeymoon. It exceeded our expectations. The house is just as described. It's kept very clean and tidy and has everything you need to stay comfortable. Its also located in a quiet neighborhood not far from the airport. We also felt like it was economical as well. The host was also great. He's very friendly and helpful. He can direct you to the best places on the island. The island of Barbados is also great. We traveled over the whole island and everywhere the people seemed very friendly and helpful. The car will definitely be needed because there is so much to see across the entire island. For example, a submarine ride, the wildlife reserve, the local food, and of course the beaches, just to mention a few of the things we enjoyed on our trip. We absolutely love the country and the house and if we ever should have another chance to visit Barbados again, we would definitely choose Cupid's home again. But don't take my word for it though, book your trip to Barbados now and see for yourself.

The Perfect Vacation Home

My family of four adults stayed in Cupid's Home in Barbados in the Spring of 2013. Everyone in my family agreed that the rental was absolutely perfect and we had a wonderful 5-day vacation. The house is spacious, bright, breezy and immaculately clean. The house has a full kitchen, washing machine, and is close to grocery stores so we were able to prepare some meals at home, which helped make our vacation both relaxing and affordable. The car that comes with the rental was a HUGE plus. Barbados is only 14 sq. miles so we could explore different parts of the island each day. Miami Beach is a 10min drive from the house and ended up being our favorite spot so we spent several afternoons at the pristine beach (there are many beautiful beaches on the island and having a car allows you to explore all of them until you find your favorite). The house is also a 10min drive from the Oistins area, where you can find plenty of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Finally, Kason, the villa owner, lives nearby and is extremely kind and professional. He was a tremendous help during the entire vacation. He picked us up and dropped up off at the airport, gave us several valuable pointers for good restaurants, local scenery and nightlife. I am definitely planning another trip to this beautiful island and will surely rent the Cupid Home again when I'm back.

Wonderful

Cupid' s Home is a wonderful choice whether for a vacation or a staycation. My family and I stayed there for the Christmas holiday and we had a wonderful time. The place is exactly as it looks in the pics. The property is well maintained, the house and its surroundings were clean. The neighbourhood is safe and peaceful and the added availability of the car is a plus. The owner was extremely helpful and nice. I would recommend Cupid' s Home to anyone who is looking to get away from it all. We will definitely be returning to Cupid' s Home in the near future.

Very Comfortable

I must say its really a home away from home, not only the location was just 5 minutes from the airport, malls etc there were various activities close by, gorgeous beaches, bowling, go-carting, just to name a few. The layout of is very roomy, open and quiet. Rooms and bathroom are well maintained and clean. Rooms were Air conditioned and if you prefer the cool breeze of the island you can open the windows and leave the ceiling fans on. The kitchen is well equipped and comfortable, we made breakfast a few days and it was no hassle.The addition of a vehicle was a surprise as this was no extra cost. The manager was very helpful at pointing out the activities the island offers as well as the various Night Spots, Restaurants and popular Parties and how to get there. Also even carried us and joined on some of the activities. He made us feel like an islanders I would definitely return and recommend this place to family and friends. I am already looking forward to returning in March 2013.

Home awaya from home

A beautiful place to stay while vacationing in Barbados. The owner/host was very friendly and always available when asked upon. This 2 bedroom place was of very high clean standard. The beds are very comfortable enough to get a good night's rest and the living room seating was good for rest and relaxation. The kitchen and utensils provided were also up to mark. The location of this place is in a small and quiet residential area. It is also about 10 minutes away from the airport as well as the Famous Crane hotel. I do recommend this place when on holiday with your love one/s.

Relaxing, comfortable,wonderful vacation getaway

My stay was relaxing throughout its duration. there was complete convenience with the amenities offered. It looks exactly the same as in the photos posted. I was totally impressed with the cleanliness of all the rooms especially the bathrooms. Additionally the manager was always available to render his assistance for any requests making my stay even better. The added benefit of the car is what makes this place a cut above the rest. I would definitely return here when next I am in Barbados. I am thoroughly impressed!
