What a great property; the location was gorgeous-- mountaintop scenery, views into the valley, a lovely clubhouse with an infinity pool that was within walking distance, and a hot tub at the unit on the back deck with stunning views any time of the day or night. A quiet, family friendly retreat!
The entire experience was amazing. Pictures do not do this place justice. We were constantly in awe of the beautiful scenery around us. Kids loved it as well! We can’t wait to come back.
Spacious accommodations, clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Breathtaking views and lovely walks. Convenient location in close proximity to both Lewisburg and the Greenbrier. Great instructions and communication with the host. Highly recommend!!
This place was amazing!! From the spectacular views every day to the size of the house and all the amenities. I will definitely stay here again. The location is great. The pool was an added plus. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Views Unlimited
We had a great time. Close to town and completely secluded. We even enjoyed the hot tub and the pool at the clubhouse.
We had 8 people gather from 4 different states. We enjoyed every minute in the house, the beautiful scenery and enjoyed restaurants and shops in Lewisburg.
The view was everything you could hope for - even better than the photos! The house was very nice and clean, with plenty of linens and soaps/toiletries/paper goods. It was a great size for two families with a total of 4 adults and 7 kids ages 10-2 yo.
Beautiful house and an even better view. Great place for our small kids however the pool was closed, which was one of the main draws for us. Additionally, Route 63 to get back to I-64 was closed as well which added 25/30 minutes to our departure. I would recommend staying here, we just had poor timing.
Great home for groups who need “multiple primary bedrooms.” There is an obvious primary on the main floor but three other bedrooms with baths make this a great home for multiple couples. The sunrise view is breathtaking!

Great Vacation Spot!
The location was wonderful with breathtaking views of the valley and distant peaks. The house is great and well appointed. It was a perfect fit for us. The hot tub was a great way to unwind and the community infinity pool was fun with a beautiful view! The clubhouse is quite nice and would be perfect for a party or reception. We would heartedly recommend this home for a great mountain getaway!
We had a wonderful stay. All previous reviews are accurate. The kitchen was fully stocked if you would like to plan for a big meal. The road up to the mountain was smooth and well maintained. The house is very private /isolated as the community only has a few homes built at this time. Communication for any questions was prompt. We highly recommend this property!
My family and I travel often. This is the only place we have ever stayed that is even more beautiful in person than its online photos (and the online photos are amazing)! We would recommend this house to everyone! The house was gorgeous and the views were breathtaking! We hope to visit again in the fall! Thanks to the owners for allowing us to stay in their stunning home!
The Barnhouse was hands down the best VRBO in which we’ve ever stayed. We couldn’t have asked for more. Super comfy beds in bedrooms each with their own private bath. A fully stocked kitchen that had all of the necessary creature comforts. The private hot tub and fire pit at the property were awesome, and having the lodge only a short walk away was even better. We look forward to staying here the next time we’re in Lewisburg.
We had a fabulous time on our vacation at Barn House. Warm, welcoming decor. Stunning views. Kitchen well stocked for the cooking we did. Pet friendly. Owners responsive when we had questions. Also enjoyed playing pool and watching the sunset at the Lodge. Unless looking to disconnect from electronics, you may want to bring a hotspot for the internet connection for your phones and other devices (or use your phone as a hotspot if you have unlimited data). Can’t say enough good things about this trip.
We had a wonderful vacation at this home, the property will not disappoint. The floor plan was perfect for our family. If you forget to bring a kitchen supply, chances are they had it stocked. The drive up didn’t seem as bad to me as it was to others reviews. You would expect a drive up to get views like this house has. Like they say, do not take Laurel lane.

Fabulous mountaintop view!
We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The Barnhouse was hands down the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. 4 bedrooms with 4 private baths for each bedroom was just the beginning. The kitchen was amazing, and stocked with everything you needed for an stress-free stay. The decor and furnishings throughout really blended well with the mountains. The mattresses were so amazing that we all got a great night’s rest. The drive up the mountain was super-fun for me, but a little stressful for my wife, lol. She adjusted to it after a few trips though. Having the lodge within a very short walk of the house was even better. The private hot tub and fire pit at the house were an awesome bonus. We hope to stay again in the future the next time we’re back in Lewisburg!

The Barnhouse
We stayed at the Barnhouse from July 28-August 3. We loved the house! There was plenty of space for us and two of our daughters and their families. The view is amazing! The house was well stocked with some of the basics and more. It was very clean. We enjoyed the clubhouse with the pool table and swimming pool. We often had it to ourselves. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because there was a hole in one of the boards on the upper deck and several others that were weak. Also in the main living area the light was out in the fan and there were no lamps. It also would have been nice to have a lamp on both sides of the bed in the master bedroom. One word of caution for those who might use the Waze app- it does not take you to the right location. Make sure that you use Google maps.
