This beautiful hand-built log home is nestled on the mountain with 7 acres. Breath taking views of Kootenay Lake and a creek running through the property. A very Large deck great for entertaining, as well as an outdoor fire pit. Sandy beaches within walking distance and a 2 minute drive to the boat launch. Enjoy all the water sports your heart desires, or relax on the beach soaking up the sun. Endless hiking trails out the back door and surrounding the area. Championship golf courses in the area and Ainsworth hot springs for a hot soak.

Brand new heating and cooling system installed November, 2020.

This private 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is very spacious and has everything you will need while on vacation.

This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.

great little getaway

The cabin is exactly as advertised, a little older but very comfortable, excellent communication with the host, and better much appointed than most places we have stayed. Would highly recommend if you are in the region

This property had everything we needed- the cabin itself was more than enough room for the two of us and our dog- hikes up the path by the creek were daily occurrences. The view of the mountains on the deck is where we enjoyed our morning coffees and the days were spent on the water. Secluded beaches were minutes away and the wildlife in the area was as much their home as it was ours. The owner was quick to respond with any questions we had. I would recommend this stay a thousand times over!

The location was excellent. Limited amenities, no microvave, hairdryer and barbecue was old and heating uneven. The cleanliness also could be improved as the linens were old and worn.

It was an ideal location to simply sit back and enjoy the friendships with the folk present. Easy to use kitchen and plenty of space. We had to drive for groceries, but that was the whole point, to be in a secluded quiet area surrounded by majestic forests. Very restful indeed.

Extended family trip to bc. Beautiful location and log cabin. Beds were super comfortable everyone enjoyed to got tub overlooking kootney lake. Would recommend and rent this cabin again!

Great home base for exploring Kootenay lake.

We were really happy with our stay and found the cabin and property to be a great size for our 2 families of 4 with young kids. The location is convenient for easy access to a boat launch and a public beach. We hope to visit again!

Wonderful family getaway

This property is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the covered deck was a perfect spot for our family to hang. The view of the lake, from the deck and the hot tub was a favorite, and we were able to explore some of the nearby beaches. Danisha communicates quickly and clearly, and any concern was dealt with promptly. Don’t hesitate to book!

Mother Nature intervened

Stay was short due to wild fires in the region. We really didn’t get an opportunity to appreciate the area due to the fires and ultimately ended up cutting our vacation short.

Great family vacation spot

Highly recommend. Gorgeous location, 15 minute walk or two minute drive to beautiful rocky beach with clear, clean swimming water, a fun dock, and gorgeous views. Air conditioning worked great. Deck fabulous. Kitchen well supplied, and good wifi. Host communicative. Worked great for four adults and three kids (two on blow up mattresses, one big one supplied by host.)

Family time vacation

We decided to take a vacation here because of the location and beautiful views and space. We had a bit of a snow fall and the owners made sure that the drive way was cleared as the driveway is longer and up hill a bit. They also made sure we had everything we needed and let us know to feel free to messages if needed. The house was perfect and reminded me of my grandparent’s house growing up, which was so nice. The cabin has such a cozy feeling and amazing views. We seen lots of deer and elk too, which is always nice. I would definitely recommend this place if you are wanting a cozy get away. If you have a sweet tooth for donuts, definitely check out The Mountain Barn in Creston. It right on the edge of town if you are coming in town from Boswell. They have the best donuts I have ever tasted!!

Comfortable cabin and lovely property in a great location

We stayed here for a family vacation and compared to other properties we've tried in the area this was our favourite. While the cabin is a bit on the older side, the layout was very comfortable and more functional than some newer cabin designs, with conveniently located bathrooms, a very reasonably sized kitchen with decent counter space, and a large and comfortable living/dining area. There are two air conditioners (one upstairs, one downstairs in the living area) and they worked great and had no issues maintaining a comfortable temperature even on 30 degree days. The deck is very spacious with a covered/shaded dining area that we used often during our stay (the view is fantastic).The property itself is amazing, with beautiful but very naturally-blending landscaping and some room to roam without encroaching on the other nearby properties. There is a small creek with access behind the wood shed and a short trail going up the hill behind the property. Closer to the cabin, there is a reasonably sized flat grassy area below the deck that was great for kids to play in (a mature juniper hedge prevents any toys or kids accidentally going down the hillside). On the paved driveway, there was more than enough room to park two vehicles comfortably side-by-side right up at the cabin, with a few easy places to turn around even for a pick-up truck.Overall a very nice cabin and property and we hope to stay here again!

Kootenay holiday

We enjoyed our stay, visiting the many beaches close by. We also took the ferry over to Balfour and Nelson. Beautiful spot near kootenay lake.

What A View!

Lovely week away

We enjoyed the property very much. The deck was large and we sat on it endlessly. The fire pit was sat around every evening. It is a very private property, we were able to play our music and play games without disturbing anybody. I only wish the air conditioning worked and that the kitchen was a little more well appointed. The nearby beach was rockier than I anticipated, but enjoyed our time spent there. Overall we had a lovely time.
