Clean, Comfortable Cabin in the woods close to Helen and many hiking locations nearby. Extra bonus is enjoying the babbling river stream across the street. Owner was very responsive.Will book again when in the area!

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Bear Lodge. From the beginning Stacy reached to make sure everything was as we expected. House was clean, well supplied and comfortable. The house provided the best of both worlds for visiting Helen. Just a couple of minutes into town. So if you want to enjoy Helen and be able to come back to a peaceful and comfortable home to relax, this place checks all the boxes.

We had an amazing time at this cabin. From sitting on the porch watching hummingbirds to playing horseshoe’s by the river. Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill was great for us to cook so we could stay and enjoy the cabin even more. Close to downtown and great for walks. Would highly recommend.

Host was very communicative, check in process was effortless. Cabin is less than 10-15 mins from the heart of downtown Helen.Very clean inside, and very pleasant smelling as well, which is difficult in places that aren’t always occupied. We’ve stayed at nicer places & also far less nice places in the Helen / Sautee area.This is a solid 4/5 property, probably add 1/2 star because it’s above average for the area. There’s not a lot of comfortable seating to eat inside & it’s laid out a little weirdly. Hot tub area looked / seemed a little dank / musty, we weren’t that adventurous. Oh, and the beds were memory foam…some people love that, I don’t particularly. Again, why it’s a 4-4.5 star property

The property was so clean. The host gave very clear info and our trip couldn’t have been easier. This is a cabin that I’d actually return to, and even live in. The sounds of the river while drinking coffee was so peaceful. We slept so good. Location to town is great. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at the cabin! Great communication with our host Stacy! The morning views from the porch were so peaceful looking at the river and so many fun hikes. Downtown Helen had some great little shops and our kids loved the arcade games back at the cabin each night.

We had a nice weekend in the mountains in this property. It’s in an excellent location – right on the Chattahoochee River and just a few minutes from Helen. There are a lot of fun things to do like build a fire, play horseshoes, arcade games, and a hot tub. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely go there again!
