There is no cooling system, which we assumed would just be standard. The house was very warm, even with windows open. The ceiling fans had to be kept on high at all times which. resulted in sinus issues for several of us. It was an overpriced property.

Cecilia and her group were here during record August heat. The house has traditionally been very comfortable when correctly operated in the summer time, but the extreme temperatures during your visit were almost 15-25 degrees hotter than normal. If you feel AC is a must-have please always filter for that amenity before booking rather than being frustrated wit the host or accommodation. It's not something travelers should assume, yes, even in the US. Another guest recently reprimanded me, "this is America, every house has Air Conditioning", but that's not a correct statement by any stretch and every area is unique which is why we travel and stay in vacation homes vs hotels in the first place! The nightly rate for this home in this market was right in line with the low demand we had in August. Our prices were 40% less than a good year with normal August temperatures. Value is a bit of a confusing metric as it tends to depend somewhat on an individual's personal budget perspective.
This home is beautiful and located in a perfect spot to experience Taos. Easy to get to and they are great at communicating. We ran into a minor challenge with an appliance and they did their best to support us and stay in communication. It matches the description and photos which is always a great blessing when choosing a space.
The home is really special, I love the details of really feeling the depths of being embedded in the energy of New Mexico (Land of Enchantment). The art style is gorgeous and the place has a sacredness to it. Being at the foothills of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains may be a part of it although the home has a very light and airy feel. We absolutely loved our stay.
We found the property to be exactly as presented...large, spacious, and nicely appointed. We hosted a rehearsal dinner, with approval of management, and it was perfect! Greg was easy to communicate with and promptly returned calls with questions. If you are needing an incredible kitchen, this is the place for you! This was everything we needed!
The home is beautiful. Huge. Has fully stocked utensils, plates, glasses, pots, pans etc. for kitchen.
Everything was great to include being able to get hold of the owners as needed.
The one thing I will say is if a member of your party has difficulty walking, even though it is all first floor, there are steps in the rooms and living room.
Also, since shoes are not to be worn, if you have foot problems the tile floor is very uneven.
Overall, great experience! Wonderful house for ski weekend in Taos.
Overall, the house was great and wonderful fit for our needs. We were travelling there for a spring break ski trip with two families. The space was great, the kids made use of the game room, and the house was stocked with all the cooking items we needed to make our stay comfortable. I have to point out that the primary bathroom shower was not working properly upon our arrival. The water pressure was non-existent and there appeared to be something wrong with the shower faucet that prevented it from staying on hot water. The bathtub was very large and worked perfectly. We reached out to the property manager via text message to inquire about trash pickup and the faucet issues but never got a response. I could have tried harder, called and texted again, but once we were met with an initial no response, we stopped trying. Again, not enough of an issue to ruin our stay - just something to be aware of. Other than that, we had a lovely stay - the beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the ski area and the town of Taos.

Hi Sylvia! I am so sorry your requests got lost there during our spring break. We would have loved to know about the issues during your stay so we could get a jump on it. It takes us a while post ski season to go back and read all the reviews that come in! Hope we can host you again some time.
After a year and a half apart because of Covid, my sisters and I were able to reunite with our dad over Father's Day weekend in Taos. It was our first time visiting and we feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this listing. The house was spacious but yet provided great opportunities to congregate together -- like when we gathered around the giant island to build our own pizzas, or get a bit competitive in ping pong in the giant game room, or nestled around the round dining room table for breakfast or a game of Yahtzee. We were concerned about there not being any A/C since the day time temps got up in the 90s. But the night time was cool (in the 50s) and with the windows open and fans going the house was fine (just make sure to close the windows and blinds during the day to keep the cool air in!). The house is in a great location, north of Taos Plaza on the way to Taos Ski Valley. We went whitewater rafting, shopped downtown Taos, explored the Rio Grande Gorge bridge, went fishing at Eagle Nest Lake, and spent a lot of quality time at the house catching up and hanging out with one another. Because all of us were on different dietary plans (Whole30, Vegan, McDonald's), we placed a grocery order online in advance with Smith's and the property managers (Greg and Cat) were helpful in picking up the groceries and having them stocked in the house when we arrived. Saved us what could have been hours in the store trying to navigate our various grocery lists. We're planning a trip back next year and would definitely stay here again!
This is a fantastic property. Roomy, large kitchen, great location. Easy checkin and check out. Great view of the mountains! Cool summer nights. Short trek to town. Btw “pizanos” is some of the best pizza anywhere!
We loved our stay. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. Set in a quiet neighborhood with views of the mountains. We enjoyed dinner on the back patio, sunsets in the rocking chairs on the front porch and nighttime ping pong matches in the entertainment room. It was located less than 15 minutes from the plaza and an easy 45 minutes from Angel Fire. Make sure to check out the restaurant Medley at the entrance to the neighborhood. We enjoyed everything about our stay and are already planning our next visit!
